It's no secret that Michael Bay likes to use his unique connection to the US military for his movies, and in many ways the Transformers films have proven to be an excellent showcase of this connection. Therefore this report, from an Airman serving at Andersen AFB, posted on Comic Book Movie, should come as no surprise. The report states that Michael Bay is bringing the filming of Transformers 3 to Guam, and that Dreamworks are casting about 20 airmen from Andersen AFB as extras.

Update - GuamPDN reports that this rumor is untrue. Transformers 3 WILL NOT be filming at Andersen AFB, as no contact has been made through the Air Force's Entertainment liaison office.

So Bay's keeping close to the military throughout the filming?

I think the correct line is
“we’re not going to Guam, are we?"
and it’s from LOST

I like my cookie with chocolate chips please…

Here you go
Autobot_Wall-E
Definitely a NEST base. You don't have to build a set for a military base now

Lapidus crossed my mind as soon as I got on and saw "Guam" on the home page. God I love Frank.

awesome news, when does filming start again?

I personally hope this is a going to be the set of a Decepticon attack. I'm a sucker for awesome action sequences.

Hmm...

OMFG, NEST base?!! Awesome.

My name is Tech. Sgt. Mike Andriacco, from Andersen Air Force Base's Public Affairs office. Reports that Transformers 3 is to be filmed at Andersen are rumors and untrue. There are no plans to conduct filming here at this time.

"NEST Base or location of a Decepticon attack?"

Hmmm...

HOW ABOUT BOTH?

Be sure to let me know as well.

I just read "Baysplosion site" in place of the actual location names.

according to the kuam.com this rumor was a part of the phishing exercise at the AAFB
'Transformers' phishing exercise backfires on AAFB - KUAM.com-KUAM News: On Air. Online. On Demand.

'Transformers' phishing exercise backfires on AAFB

Guam - Depending on your perspective, it seems that a military training exercise meant to teach servicemen about divulging personal and/or sensitive information online has proven to be counterproductive - or absolutely achieved its goal. KUAM News has learned that as part of the Operational Readiness Exercise last week at Andersen Air Force Base, a planned phishing scam meant to bait airmen into releasing their contact data was launched, 'neath the guise that the latest sequel to the "Transformers" movie series would be shot at the Yigo installation.

The scam stated that film director/producer Michael Bay would be shooting part of the movie at AAFB, and as such, 20 airmen were being solicited as extras. Reportedly, several such enlisted personnel responded, one even in the open on ComicBookMovie.com. It's since generated quite a bit of local buzz, prompting the military to put down the untrue story.

In an e-mail received by KUAM, AAFB officials have announced that Transformers 3 will NOT be partially produced on Guam or at Andersen AFB. KUAM is waiting for comment from Andersen Air Force Base for comment.
so sorry all for the false information

Doh'! Oh well, at least we got the list of original REAL shooting locations sometime ago. Russia? check. Africa. double check. Err, im pretty sure that's just some of the locals being banded around. In any case, this thread should be closed..

I hope that was ironic from you. I'm actually not liking the overdone showcase of the US military. Don't get me wrong, I usually like to see the military presence in action movies, but in Transformers, they have got a much too big role in the combats. Somehow they kill more Decepticons than the Autobots do, so why do the human need the Autobots then???
Goji
This was a hoax put up by the air force to see if the pilots would devilge info about them selves from fishing emails
