Transformers 3 Sideswipe Confirmed As A Convertible

sideswipe has already been known to be in the next film, there has been several news updates of the beautiful stingray concept car on set

^ I've only seen the one with the corvette concept being spotted near beverly hills. However, I don't think it was truly confirmed it was sideswipe. I believe this is the first time we see him with the other vehicles...Also i think its the first video with Bumblebee, the Ferrari and Sideswipe in action....

I was shocked and excited at the same time when I saw this. Although the convertible looks weirder than the original, it's still a cool-looking car IMO. I also thought it was neat to see Sideswipe and the red Ferrari with Bumblebee; maybe Sideswipe will get much more screen time since he's spotted with one of the most popular Autobots?

I hope the Ferrari (I'm assuming Hot Rod or Cliffjumper) gets some good screen time as well.

Also, does anyone have a single clue as to what's going on in the scene? Ok, some humans run across the street and the Autobots storm off. Criminals being chased? Something suspicious? I have no clue.

Surely Swipe will have to have a holodriver now in the movie.

Not necessarily. The secret is out the the Transformers are Earth. Seeing a car drive itself would not freak out people like it did Sam in the first one. People simply assume it's a Transformer.

You know I was wondering about that after I saw the RPM the other day. That is odd.
It'll be interesting to see how they work out the convertible design into a Deluxe. Maybe they'll work the seats into his legs like with Universe Hound.

I immediately wondered why RPM Sideswipe wasn't the Stingray, but it looked cool anyway & now that I hear it's actually an Aston Martin, I think it's an upgrade, haha!

It is nice to see Sideswipe being used in more conventional ways, similar to how Bumblebee, Skids, and Mudflap were together for most of the movie. In ROTF, he was really limited to just being a soldier/fighter, but now there might be some chances for characterization.

Hard to tell who the red car will be. I'd like to think it's Hot Rod, but being red doesn't lock it in to red G1 characters. Maybe it's Prowl. Hell, it could be a different Arcee. It worked for Devastator.

For some reason I foresee this becoming a fairly big negative point for fans about TF3 if they don't end up giving him a holo-driver.

That is unless Bay just plays the government cover up card again, like in ROTF proceeding from the last film. No, it wouldn't make much sense...But then transformer fiction hardly does half the time.

It might be over-analyzing, but since the red Ferrari is in front in a leader position, it could be Rodimus. But I hope it's actually Wheeljack, which seems to make the most sense to me. After all Wheeljack had "Allitalia" stickers. and this is an "Italia" Ferrari. Other possibilities are Hot Rod, Sunstreaker, Tracks, Mirage, one of the mini-bots, or one of the Datsun twins (Prowl, Streak, Smokescreen). I didn't read any spoiler news so I could be a little to way off.

Speaking of holograms, I hope Hound is in the movie, as well as that kick ass Motormaster Kenworth truck we saw on here a few days ago.

I'm curious as to how they'll handle driving the convertible. I suppose the most logical route is to give Sideswipe a hologram driver as Arcee had.

While I was really hoping Sideswipe wasn't going convertible...I will give the benefit of the doubt, because of how much I like Movie Sideswipe.
