| Transformers 2 Movie: SR-71 Blackbird News and Chevy Beat Sighted |

Also Thebadandugly is reporting that the Chevy Beat, a new concept car, was sighted on the set. Also sighted was a small remote-control car that is speculated to be the Autobot character "Wheels."

Different continuities, dude! The TF Wiki has no news about Transformers 2 whatsoever, besides what has been officially confirmed.

I think seeing something on the set is quite confirmed...It's possible the article might have lose ends, but you can't deam it "wrong" because it's not 100% accurate.

This is done to avoid the TF Wiki becoming a rumour-mongering site and to avoid posting incorrect or inaccurate information.
Right now, everybody is reporting vague rumours and posting blurry spy photos. The TF Wiki does not report on leaked information or information we 'weren't supposed to know', such as stolen test shots from China or photos of something that they wouldn't normally allow you to photograph.

I could seriously see that concept car as Soundwave. Just make it blue, and it sort of resembles Animated Soundwave.

I've heard that the lil RC car is wheels, and that he takes sam and whoever he's with to jetfire or something like that, I wonder if that turns out to be true, it would be interesting how they handle a small bot who's not the crackhead Frenzy and nokiabot.

The RC truck is a stand-in for what will be a digital character. It's just for film reference. You must not assume that it's the actual character.

That Chevy Beat would make a really cool TF. I could actually see that being the 'upgraded' mode for the Icecream Truck Twins ala Bumblebee from the last movie.

I'm already ticked at the fact that they'll look exactly the same, but that they'll be half the size of the other 'formers. Being a cheesy ice cream truck just makes it worse.

The Chevy beat would make a good TF alright. But as for it being a Decepticon, doesn't look to decepticonish to me. But who knows once it transforms, it might come out as a cool looking con. Also wish that Fracture is there as well =P

I loved the Chevy Beat when it was first presented and I love it now, I'm really digginf the idea to have smaller transformers, and wheels could rock if they don't do it too over the top.

Any Idea how much MPG the beat is supposed to get? I can't find anywhere which probably means 'not as high as it should'.

The Camaro was shown at auto shows in both silver and red. I believe the yellow became it's "signature" post-Transformers.

I would like if that SR-71 Blackbird ended up being the ressurrected Megatron's new earth-mode or something
(although its listed as 'someone else' on the call-sheets, still it could mean anything - i.e. Bay changing the names of the TF's to keep them a secret like he did for the fist movie etc.)

Scooper 'drx' is back with another update on the Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen filming at the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum in Virginia:
I'm back one last time with a report about what I saw filmed at the museum on Saturday. Some potentially spoilerish stuff will follow, so be aware.
I arrived around 10 and stayed until they broke for lunch (around 2, 2:30). Got to see a lot of stuff filmed, it was really quite interesting stuff. Shia, Megan Fox, and John Turturro were all on set.
All filming pretty much took place around the SR-71 Blackbird today. When I first got there, Michael Bay was being pushed on a cart with a camera filming an RC car, an RC monster truck to be exact. It would roll past the side of the Blackbird and stop at the front. After several times doing this, Shia and Megan would then run and follow the RC truck along the plan to the front (Shia was holding what I can only describe as a plastic spoon probably standing in for something digital later). When he got to the front he would hold it up to the nose of the plane.
Potentially big SPOILERS may be here in this next part, but the next bit filmed was John Turturro and that unknown actor in the green hoodie from yesterday filming a scene facing the front of the plane. After some flashes of light, Turturro freaks out and yells "Decepticon! Get behind the MIG!". So it's official, the Blackbird is a Decepticon, or at least that's what the characters think.
After that they took a long time setting up and filming the RC car rolling straight towards the nose of the plane and stopping. They then placed a two foot tall cutout of a robot (what the RC car will transform into) in its place and took some shots to get references for the FX team. And finally, they had the car roll towards the plane and stop, then Shia crawled into view and held up his "spoon" to the nose of the plane.
The last couple of scenes I saw before the broke for lunch was a scene with Megan Fox. It was far away from where we were allowed to stand and I couldn't hear any dialogue but the tiny robot cut out was standing off camera and she was looking down at it while talking. And lastly, Shia stepped in the scene next to her and was yelling at someone off camera (though again I couldn't hear any dialogue).
So there you have it. I'm pretty sure they are done filming here. I'll ask my friend about what he saw them film in the afternoon and will pass it on if it seems interesting enough.

The Chevy Beat would make a good Bumblebee, if Bumblebee hadn't already been a Camaro. Maybe they will push for more synergy with Animated, but I'm not sure if they'd want to go with what will seem like a downgrade. It might work if Bumblebee had go incognito for some sort of mission. It could be a temporary change of alt mode.
If it's a different character, they will surely have to go with a colour other than yellow.
Wheels, I like the idea of an R.C. transformer. In a sense, a transformer that's already a toy. They should be able to come up with some great toy ideas there. I hope we get something more satisfactory than what they did with Frenzy(who didn't even get a legends figure).
The Ice-cream truck? Well I've never seen one quite like that, but I'm all for eccentric alt modes. Please no corny upgrades to brand new GM product placement.
As for it turning into 2 separate twin autobots? I hate that. So if one of them goes missing, the other can only turn into half an ice-cream truck? To me that's lame. I know there was stuff like that in G1 with duocons and micromasters, but it was lame also.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we don't know for certain that they're not doing an R.C. transformer. I never said it was going to be one way or the other, I just like the idea. And if the character is indeed called 'Wheels', the R.C. monster truck in the pictures wouldn't be a particularly inappropriate choice of alt mode.
