Let's see if I can fill the role:

I think "very attractive" is on all of Bay's casting calls for any female character under 30...
He even said something like that on the special features on the DVD.

Bay likes his hot women. Now he gets one on a motorcycle. I'm pretty sure there's a bunch of people calling bay's company right now

Maybe that will explain why Arcee is a Girl, I mean to explain different genders when it comes to Transformers is tough when they are all created by the All Spark. So When Protofrom scans the Motorcycle this girl will still be on it and Arcee picks up traits from the Motorbike but also from the Girl.

I wouldn't say the 2 females in the 1st movie were *very* attractive. A little bit attractive yes, but there's a lot of room for improvement. I don't like slutty women & they both looked like ho's.

Obviously Bay thought they fit the bill. In his commentary on the casting he said that for Mikaela he wanted someone "smokin' hot" (or something like that). All I was saying is that that seems to be something Bay looks for above most other things (including talent) in his young female cast members. You shouldn't be so confrontational in posting your replies. It just makes you seem like a jerk, even if you don't mean to be.

John Rodgers script? I must have missed that... was that for the 2007 movie or the new one?

IF this means that Arcee is going to make it into the sequel, I don't know whether I should her being in it or not. I don't see the need for a female Transformer, and I'm certainly curious about how the script writers are going to explain, in a way that the audience buys it, why there are female Transformers.

I'm not sure what to make of that... I just cannot grasp the idea of a female transformer, especially in such a "realistic" universe as the 2007 universe. No, just... no.

I fill the gender term, but I do not consider myself attractive, I'm too young and last time I drove a motorcycle I broke my leg.

1. There aren't really ANY lead actresses who are ugly, except maybe Sarah Jessica Parker

2. Mikaela NEEDED to be "smoking hot" because the whole point was that she was one of those untouchable super babes from high school.

I guess the movie will be off schedule now. How many girls you know who are attractive under 30 and rides a motorcycle skillfully? It'll take them forever to find one and actually looking for a job doing this. They're better off CGI'ing it or superimposing a pretty face on a guy's body.

If she is to do the filming at one of the PA locations ( Bethlehem was it? ), I know a girl that fits the role and lives close. I should call her up.

Well, as much as I liked the fact that in TF1, or the script at least, every TF had the same generic "Moustache Man" as their driver (we saw him in three different Decepticons, presumably the Autobots had him, too), it'd be neat to see drivers reflective of their personalities, a' la IDWverse.

On the other hand, this might just be some hot chick Sam's roomie checks out as she rides by. I thought "hologram" just like everyone else, but it's probably the more unlikely possibility.

Oh yes! It's my turn to show up at TRANSFORMERS 2!

All I have to do is learn how to ride a motorcycle and turn into a 30 years old woman!

Does sort of make you think that maybe they are going for Arcee this time around since you don't see a lot of motorcyles going down the road without a rider.

As to a female Transformer, well why not? On the first film we were told they did this to appeal to group X, they did that to appeal to group Y, and they did the other thing because they thought group Z would watch the movie. Seems like it would appeal to female viewers to have female characters that were more than just a girlfriend role since the girlfriend was the only one to get into being part of the action and action is the director's strong point.

Plus it's not like G1, Beast Wars, Cybertron or Animated felt any need to explain why you have both male and female robots so why should the film bother. Are you going to be upset they didn't explain why she is female or are you just going to enjoy it if she does something cool?

When she gets off the horn with the casting agency, have her call ME.

No we don't, not for sure, but I am hoping she appears. If this is a real casting call and not a snippit to get people on the wrong track, all we know is there will be a scene(s) requiring a female on a cycle. They want a hologram on Arcee they could CGI it.

I was thinking along the same lines only a human rider. Same has bumblebee and some new hot young chick has Arcee. That would be sweet!!!!!

I hope they get the original voice actor for Arcee. She still has a great voice. I can here it now!!!

This is a casting call for only one day of filming. That's only enough for a quick cameo. I like the idea of her being on the motorcycle Arcee scans and Arcee therefore picks up the female traits from her, but that doesn't seem likely. At least, not likely the script writers would put it in. And the idea is reminiscent of RiD Scourge's origin: scanned Optimus, a tanker truck, and a human all at once.

I'm thinking it's more of a role similar to that of the girl in the car whose steering wheel turned into a facehugger.

She was hot as hell.

If I recall from the DVD commentary, the "moustache man" scenes from TF1 were all filmed in only a day or two.

And they would never just CG a hologram rider for Arcee, it would be too expensive. It would be much cheaper just to pay some girl 100$ and film her driving around on a motorcycle for a few hours.

Remember, they don't film a movie in chronological order. If some actors are only available certain days, they'll film all their scenes in a bunch. It's more effective than to have actors (not to mention extras like the moustache man) come back for multiple shoots.

Peter Cullen as Prime's holographic driver, that would rule.

Just about all movies use a mix of both CGI and real to help with the budget. If Iron Man is out running the jets then CGI, if Iron Man is just talking to someone with the mask open then cheaper and more realistic to use a suit. A bit like the first Transformers movie was a mix of real and CGI vehicles depending on what a scene called for.

Do you spend a million bucks and countless hours to just have Arcee pass Bumblebeen on the highway or do you get a cheaper quicker real motorcycle and hire an actor to have it wrapped up in one day at a fraction of the cost?

I don't see how that would work with this casting call. They only want the woman for one day. I can't see how they'd be able to work her into the plot at all in just one day of shooting.

When I read this thread I immediately imagined Carrie Anne Moss as Trinity in a tight-fitting leather (or pleather) outfit straight out of The Matrix and the Motorcycle sequence Matrix Reloaded. Maybe that's what their aiming for.

Maybe the biker woman is the stunt driver for Mikaela when she rides with Arcee. I always thought that Mikaela would partner up with Arcee. She did have a scooter, why not a Motorcycle.

What was the importance of RID Scourge scaning a human? I did not remember this, only Prime and the tanker.
