| Transformers 2: Jetfire Will Be An Autobot, Not A Decepticon |
| Posted on 09-13-2008 at 06:37 PM by Cataclizm1 | TFW2005 has received confirmation from the TFW TF2 Insider that Jetfire will be an Autobot in the upcoming sequel Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen. It could be that the Decepticon symbols previously reported to be on the SR-71 Blackbird were part of Michael Bay's misinformation campaign? Or is it a plot twist?

I thought it was obvious he would be an autobot. (or I thought it was weird that he was a decepticon, one of the two)

There's always the chance that he starts out as a Decepticon but changes to an Autobot soon.
Like he (Skyfire) did in the G1 cartoon.
And in the Marvel comics.
Also, we didn't "see" the Decepticon symbol, it was explicitly pointed out in the leaked call sheet. Which has thus far been proven to be right on many occasions.

This is very cool news. I hope Jetfire starts out as Starscream's friend like in the G1 cartoon and then turns good and they have an all-out brawl at the end. That would be kick-ass!

Truthfully I hit the front page about twice a year. My Firefox bookmark is the boards, always has been. I just don;t see why the info isn;t posted in the thread aswell as on the front page, as was done for years. Maybe there was a change in the board upgrades so when the news is added it generates the thread here with the link and leaves the news only on the front page...

And I still maintain that the only misinformation is when Bay said that there would be misinformation. He'll probably start out as a 'Con and than become a 'Bot...

Like with the back and forth with everything, Jazz in particular, I don't think I'll believe anything unless I see hard evidence such as pictures, video, or the actual movie. People can say and speculate anything they want. 'Course, the film-makers can go to whatever lengths they want, like creating entirely false scenes, just to screw with us. This is fun!

HEY. As a big jet transformer fan, and being that Jetfire is my favorite character, I wonder if Jetfire's main movie toy will be better than Classics Silverbolt! Classics Silverbolt IMHO is the best jet in the Classics line, and one of the better jet transformers in recent times. Blackbird/XB-70 influenced. Then we have movie jetfire as a Blackbird! HEAD EXPLODES!!!!!!!
I foam at the mouth wondering how the toy will turn out! No doubt better than the 1st Movie Starscream!

I'm hoping this is true. I like Jetfire's character, and I'll be happy to see a live-action flying Autobot. I'll also be hoping for an aerial Transformers dogfight; that would definitely be something to see! Now, though, who will be his voice actor?
