Boring! why is it that all killer robots or serial killers cant run....

She might have been damaged in the previous scene.

Because then they wouldn't be scary or disturbing, and no one would take them seriously, and they would cry and have to be nurtured back to their normal miserable selves.

Or something to that effect.

or she might be generic stupid robot slash serial killer, like the terminator or jason or michael myers, think how much easier it would of been to kill jamie lee curtis if he had ran after her..

im pretty sure the T-1000 running after a car was awesome and scary and leatherface running is scary too, running works and is practical ya would think a super intelligent race of autonomous robotic creatures would have figured this out

or! she has clearly done something bad already hence why everyone is running so why dont she just shoot them in the legs if she dont wanna kill them, im sure she has good aim and her arm turns into a gun or something

I was so confused as to why I was watching this for most of the video, untill I saw the bit of that Alice girl doing the "I'm so evil, I don't have to run." strut.
It's still kind of a "meh" piece of behind the scenes info, but kinda neat I guess.

Also seeing Bay on his little camera wagon made me laugh for some reason. I donno why, I'm sure it's an important piece of film macking equipment, I just found it funny somehow...

She's a pretender SAM!

Really? No, REALLY??? WTF! Why? Why have a Freakin Pretender... ROBOTS, thats what the damn story is about... ROBOTS! If we want robots mixed with other robots that look human, we can watch Terminator Salvation... Screw ALL the gimmicks... Head,target, Action, etc Masters, minicons, combining (for non-combiners... Prime/JetFire), Pretenders, planets keys, WHATever... Leave it all out... Just give us Giant Robots fighting and explosions... Thats all... We will be happy. (We dont even need a story! like in the 1st one!)

Sorry to ALL for this rant... its been brewing for a while. Dont get me wrong, I love the 1st movie... I mean, it had freakin Transformers in it, and they look REAL! But as a film fan, the movie was TOTAL Shit and I lied to myself about its awesomeness. I could be wrong and this whole Pretender thing works, but for me its just more of the same... Show humans to save budget... Shit, I'll take a 30 min. movie, of pure CGI TF's fighting with no exposition rather than sit thru a 2 1/2 hour movie full of generic people to see just the same... The End: 30 min of Tf's fighting with no exposition!

AGAIN, sorry for the rant and its aimed at no one so, please, if you like Pretenders... dont take it personal. (Also, I may just be Tweakin' for some awesome Robot footage!)

Is she broadcast hypnowaves to our brains so we see this video but in actuality the video is dancing hamsters? Or did she photoshop each individual frame of a different video to include the actors from the movie?

I'm sorry, I just cannot find any of this true. As I have said in one of the above threads that I just posted, I won't believe this unless Michael Bay says that it's true.

What these guys said. There's a lot of characters that fans want to see in a real-world TF movie... and we get this?

although im not a fan of the idea of pretenders, putting them into the movie sort of makes sense. Sam is seeing cybertronian symbols, and seems to hold some sort of important knowledge about the war, something that is UBER important. the Cons know from Barricade's experience that violent interrogation doesnt seem like it will work. so what better idea than to send in a spy? that spy would have to be someone Sam could trust. a Con disguised as a Bot? nah, the other Auotbots could prbly figure out that its a Con. a human? a nice idea, but they cant trust humans. so why not a robot that is also a human? there, perfect! its only logical that they would try something like that


also, i think Alice may have done something, like some sort of sabotage to something, which is why people are running from where they came from, not from her. maybe Sam, Mikaela, and that other dude were in the same place and were going to go over to talk to her, but then saw her do her freaky transformation with maybe like her arm to sabotage something. they run, clearly terrified. something explodes, everyone runs except for Alice, who is walking out of there like its nothing-shes not running because she doesnt know the heroes saw her. only flaw i find with that theory is that there werent any explosions in the clip...

From a storytelling point of view, it does make a lot of sense, if the plot is going the way we think it is. A pretender is the best chance the Cons have to get close to Sam un-noticed. And while it may not be what a lot of fans want to see, it does make sense as far as advancing the story goes.

But if we're talking 'making sense', then why wouldn't all Decepticons, or really all transformers for that matter, be pretenders right from the word go of being on any foreign planet? Logically speaking, this makes the whole transforming thing redundant.

The Pretender thing doesn't bother me; it's got the potential to be really insidious and nasty if it's done right. Fingers crossed.
Incidentally, I wonder if the people shouting "OMG ROBOTS PLS!!!1111one" realise that with the exception of some props the robots don't actually exist until they're composited in after shooting. I mean, they might be running because Ravage is chasing them, we wouldn't know.
Bottom line: we won't see robots until either a trailer or official preview of some sort. In the meantime, try showing a little gratitude. Yeesh.
