In a recent interview with Den of Geek Tony Todd was quoted saying he will be returning for the third installment of the Transformers Movies:

Are you involved in Transformers 3 do you think?
Yes.
Definitely?
You want to quote me? What I was told last month, yes. But that's Hollywood!

Will Mr. Todd be reprising his role as The Fallen, or will he be an entirely new character? Discuss in our forums!

Optimus Prime
Considering the fact that the Fallen is a "multiversal singularity," much like Unicron, and thus cannot truly be destroyed, he could very well re-appear in the movie's universe to actually wreak some havoc this time...
...but considering how unlikely that is, I think it is safe to assume that, if this information is true, he'll be voicing a new character.
ORIO
Yeah I hope for a new character as well. I was kinda underwhelmed with the Fallen.
rikkuluverx2
hmm I think he's still gonna do the voice for 'the fallen'. Probably something like megatron's 'conscience', a good example of this is seen in spider-man 2&3, where norman osborn still haunts his son's mind and such. But chances are he's gonna do the voice of another bot too.

Hmm. I have a theory - Let's look at Metal Gear Solid 4. It has a lot of sound clips from previous games which are used in random flashbacks. Thus, they credit those VAs, even if they didn't technically provide new material for this game.

My idea is maybe Megatron is reminiscing about Fallen, and we'll see a flashback about him. Maybe just some bits of ROTF to show what happened to him, or hey, new material?

As a singularity, death for him means he can no longer return to the movieverse, but still exists in other continuities.

I'd wager that Todd's going to either come back as the Fallen in flashbacks, or as a new character.
JetRaid
Yeah this is an obvious return of the Fallen =_=
Wheeljack_Prime
First we get that announcement for James Avery as Silverbolt, then we get this. Wonder if this means that Bay and co are going to pay more attention to the bots this time in ways beyond the visuals?
Vector Squidma
Yeah who says he's going to be voicing The Fallen? Voice actors can usually do more than one voice you know.
netkid
I hope the Fallen returns. He just seemed to go out too...easily.

Maybe Unicron arrives and resurrects him. Who knows?

For a villain like that with all the build up they had for him, he seemed underused, like they weren't showing us all there was to his purpose.

If you think about it, the matrix was needed to revive Prime who, using the matrix, could destroy Unicron. It was also needed to power the Sun Harvester to make a new Allspark which would then be used to make a new Decepticon army.

By having Prime out of commission, and using the Sun Harvester to create a new Allspark, the Fallen could then grant Megatron his new Decepticon army and bring the Matrix to Unicron, knowing that they would be safe having possession of it, and that no Prime would be left to use it against the Chaos Bringer, save for the Fallen himself should he be ballsy enough to do so.

Let's not forget that there is more than 1 Sun Harvester located throughout the Universe. If one were to somehow move a Harvester or even build a new one near a Sun, then all they would need was the Matrix to power it.

So either by having possession of the Matrix, the Fallen & Unicron (and presumably Megatron & the Decepticons) would be untouchable,

OR

The Fallen (who is still a Prime) could use the Matrix to kill Unicron himself, making the Fallen the head honcho & Megatron his bitch.
Vince
He'll return as a background character with no explanation.
Lbsammills51
I'd guess it's in a flashback sequence, but I wonder if it could be both? Michael Bay could use him for The Fallen and maybe another character if he wants to save money. Interesting news though, if it holds up.
RedAlert Rescue
I think there's a chance they might return to Cybertron and there might be some exposition in there about The Fallen but It could be something daft like another Fallen Clone - or dozens of them as Minions of Unicron.

Heck maybe all the other Primes are Identical to The Fallen ?
netkid
Well I remember reading in an article a while back that they needed a way to pay for those CGI models somehow, so they reused them in ROTF.

Just look at Grindor and Bonecrusher reappearing in the desert, not to mention the tons of Constructicon clones and reused Protoforms.

Not to mention them bringing back Ravage.

The Fallen has to get used more, and anyone else who was a new model but had little screen time. "Ze Little one" or the Doctor maybe? Reed man?

It seems to be all about paying off the new models by using them more. Kinda like repaints being the purpose of paying off the original costs on the original toy.

Don't go there... Bay CAN read this if he want's too...

Well look at Reno. the guy who voiced Frenzy in Movie 1, came back as one of the twins in Movie 2. The same could be done for Tony.

From what I understand, actors don't usually say they are involved in a production unless they're actually doing new material for it. Reused footage, sound clips and stuff are compensated via residuals.

Hoping for more of the fallen myself, even if it's a flashback/IF I' DED tape he left to Megatron.

Love the design and voice.
Shockscream
I don't really want The Fallen to return as a villain. Move forward with another bad guy or allow Megatron to be assume the mantle of pure evil that he deserves. Flashbacks fleshing out his relationship with Megatron would be interesting.
HiKaizer
Transformers Episode 3: Revenge of the Fallen.

Oh wait...

I really think it's quite impossible to really comment on this at this time. The ideas that could occur are certainly plentiful although many would have doubts on Bays willingness on capacity to do a plot justice.
Smokescreen
Whether he's the Fallen or a new character, it's good to have Mr. Todd back. His voice is awesome!

This is a point I was going to bring up. It just occured to me though, what if Tony Todd is in fact going to be in Transformers 3, but this time not voicing a robot? Who's to say Tony Todd himself won't be playing a human Admiral in the Navy or a General in the Army opposite Glenn Morshower? Then again, he could very well be voicing a new character.

It also occurred to me that Michael Bay is just playing us all for saps. He very well could have contacted both Tony Todd and James Avery and asked them to "reveal" that they would be starring in Transformers 3 in an attempt to throw us off his slimey trail.

All that being said, until there's official conformation from Hasbro, Bay, or even Paramount and/or Dreamworks, I'm taking this with a very large grain of salt.

Would they really do that without getting something out of it for themselves?
Ravenxl7
Cool. It'll be interesting to see who he voices this time. I think it's most likely that he's going to voice a new character, though it wouldn't surprise me if he voiced the Fallen in either some flashback scenes, or as Megatron's conscience. Can't really see the Fallen coming back as a villain again.
Grimwing
At least it would add some credibility to the fallen being in the second movie if he has something a bit more cool to do in the third.
blackout501st
well, if he is returning as the fallen, i had a feeling he wasnt going to die so easily. HEY PRIME! GUESS WHAT? THE FALLEN WANTS HIS FACE BACK!
jonatron26
maybe there will be a scene of ancient cybertron between the fallen and unicron.
Rayzilla Prime
There's a few possibilities here. I was hoping Megatron or Starscream would do the opening narration this time around instead of Optimus, but if The Fallen's voice was done for the opening narration, like it was a recorded message left behind for someone to find, THAT would be awesome, maybe a foretelling of the arrival of Unicron?

Or Galvatron, at that matter! An idea I've had for a while would be that Megatron gets his ass handed to him by Optimus, Starscream sees an opportunity and kills Megatron with no witnesses, takes Megs' head back to the Nemesis, Shockwave takes it into custody, downloads Megatron's memory banks into a hatchling, it hatches and calls itself Galvatron. To add to it (just now), the Fallen copied his "mentality" (personality, memory, everything) to the Nemesis' main computer, and it "accidentally" gets downloaded into Galvatron as well. In a nutshell, Galvatron is the mental combination of Megatron and The Fallen.

It all means Galvatron knows where another Energon source is. Trip to Cybertron, anyone?
Darthbane2007
The Fallen will be back to steal Optimus's face..
U.Magnus80
I'm gonna hope for a new character. I really had no love for the Fallen.
DarthP00P00
odd...
maybe a flashback.
captain N
Heres hoping for Unicron!
Opticron Primal
Definately multiple outcomes.

The Fallen could return in the sequel, Todd could be voicing a totally new character, etc, etc.
bumblebot98
Damn,I hope the Fallen isn't the main Baddie in TF3,If he isn't then he better not be hailing to unicron(If he's in it).
Omnius
Does anyone else think it's strange we're getting VA details so early?
Paxtin
I can't help be reminded of back when we got news that Jazz's voice actor, Darius McCrary, was going to be returning for ROTF. It was even speculated that it could have been a flashback.

I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being the same thing. Todd's own words seem to suggest even he has doubt that he'll return.

I'd be willing to bet that more or less they basically just told him: "hey stay in touch."

I'm all for Tony Todd doing another voice, but I'm not really for the Fallen returning.

Wow man this sounds so convincing and an awsome story!!
this i would pay to see
megs would have a split persona...hense the recasting and hearing the Fallens voice...

deff sounds like it would make a awsome story!!!
Brooticus
Bullshit. Well, i hope it is at least. I didn't like the fallen at all. His inclusion created so many questions and plot holes.

Remember when jazz's V/O was meant to be returning or rotf? Look how that turned out. Plus, Its WAAAAY too early to be getting the voice talent in.
hippymule
I hope to god he's not in the 3rd one, major F**k up.
Lazerwave
I hope the Fallen does not return, DING DONG THE FALLEN'S DEAD, BAD FALLEN, WICKED FALLEN!

I hope Tony Todd plays a new character, like maybe an Autobot.

Jazz was never said to return by official sources, just some dirty attention-seeking gossip site claiming it out of nowhere.
Ultrawave
So guys...I'm failing to see how the Fallen could come back after losing his face and spark, besides flashbacks. So I don't think they're bringing him back.

Shall I throw out the name Bruticus and suggest he's voicing him? Maybe Unicron? lol
miscreant
The Fallen was a complete anti-climax, and (imo) Todd's performance was pretty indifferent. Can't say i'd really want either back.

But... they only repainted him once.
TRANS+CRAZY
Oh wow, Tony Todd's coming back for TF3?

Probably he's going to voice a new character. I just can't see Bay doing flashback scenes, nor can I see him bringing back The Fallen.
