Sweet!! I actually like Soundwave! Ravage is a bit too H.R.Geiger, but still pretty awesome!!

where is soundwaves visor?!?!? WTH!!! And Ravage looks like an Alien, from Alien! I still like them but he looks a little like Barricade in the head.

Ravage resembles a xenomorph and Soundwave looks Barricade-ish. Nice.

Also neat to see the placement of the truck grill on the waist instead of chest. Something different for once.

Oh my GAWD!!! I love the look of Ravage, kind of a cross between an HP Lovecraft demon and something HR Geiger would draw!

Both look really good, imo. I like how they've kept the blue in Soundwave withought overdoing it, and Ravage looks like he'll be a force to be reckoned with. Can't wait to see what their toys look like.

I hope that Bob O is telling the truth about Soundwave not being a truck. That would be a completely stupid ALT mode for Soundwave. It doesn't fit his personality or function. He is a SPY/Communications robot who has a very droll and monotone personality. And why have TWO pickup trucks in the movie? I mean, I know GM is possibly looking at bankruptcy and would like to sell as much trucks as they can so they won't go under, but haven't they learned already?

Soundwave would look better with a visor. Would be a very simple nod to the fans. As far as his body, he kinda looks a little "top heavy" ala Starscream.

Ravage looks kinda cool to me. Tho I hope he has some kind of eyes instead of whatever that face is. Not bad tho.

I like those designs. Ravage looks vicious and Soundwave looks...well, not like Soundwave, but still neat. Can't wait to see more pics of both.

Love Ravage, I'll need some time to warm up to that as Soundwave though. Looks very early/rough though, I figure we'll see a lot more refinements in the coming months.

The art for Soundwave sucks... not design wise but as concept art in general.

There's something about Soundwave that puts me off, but I do love Ravage! Look at that tail!

That's the magic word; 'SOMEWHAT' No one is going to look at that say 'oh that's Soundwave, I recognize that anywhere.' So I REALLY hope that's not actually him.

2 black pick-ups, doubt it but honestly I've almost stopped caring what alt modes pop up. Never liked the bot designs, mainly cuz of ugly heads. Not gonna hope they start looking good now.

For one thing though, people refering to this not fitting his personality, I'm pretty sure the TFs in the movieverse don't care much about alt mods fitting their personality. They seem to be able to change into whatever fits what they need at any given time anyway. Frenzy turning into a boombox and cellphone. Bumblebee changing his look to be sold as a 'first car' then changing to a nice new car to look cooler

Interesting. Ravage looks solid. Soundwave is not bad as well. Here's hoping these are early concept designs as per Orci's recent comments.

Ravage reminds me of the demon dogs in Ghostbusters meets the Alien 3 alien. I like it. Soundwave I like too but reminds me of a new look Ironhide with Barricade's features.

This looks very legit -- especially with the environment image to the left.

RAVAGE: Very cool and creepy -- very much robbing the design grave of Geiger, but so was Megatron from movie 1 (and that creepy tank) Ravage is too creepy if you ask me. Probably scare the hell of of my kids. I wish the villains had more appeal. I know it aint G1, but that thing is not fun, it's super creepy. I prefer it to feel fun. Oh well, at least easier to look at than Frenzy.

SOUNDWAVE: I like the big blue orbs -- like big weaponized soundwave generators or something. But c'mon, that head is just like Barricades! Get some more originality into the designs, dudes... The lower body is very cool -- but it basically just looks like Ironhide's body from Movie 1, but cooler. Why not make him dark blue? Why not hint at the original design even 1%? Guys, he's soundwave in name only. Too bad. It was a missed opportunity.

I don't like it. For some reason the Big old Chevy symbol front and center totally ruins it for me. Apparently the brand of choice by all sentient beings is GMC...

Soundwave is okay. Ravage is pure love.

I agree, there's something that's bugging me about these pics that tells me they're not official. And if Orci was right about Soundwave not being a pick-up, then we can pretty much discount the robot mode pic, because it's based on the pick-up as an alt mode. Which makes things about as clear as mud.

The art is not even remotely similar in style to that of the leaks from Tranformers 1 and the confirmed leaks for Transformers 2. Not done by the same person/people. The picture even seems based off of Barricade's design if you really pay attention.

The decepticon logo in the corner is a little fuzzy and obviously just a straight copy and paste from what you can get on google images. You think they'ed have a little better source being the actual artists for the movie? Why is it fuzzy?

The movie is not called Transformers 2. There is no 2 in the title. This has been stressed by the crew multiple times. They're really against it.

Concept art does not show off that much outside of the main picture. Concept art is rather plain except for exactly what it is showing. Why all the fancy borders? Movie concept artists do not do that.

Bob has said that Soundwave is not a truck.


Do you really need anymore evidence? I came excited to see Soundwave but instead it's just this obvious fake. I dont understand why people would think it is real. I guess I might have more of an eye for it, being an artist myself.

Thank God i'm not the only one who thinks this is fake. Why would concept artwork have altmodes on them that doesn't exist for a character? The artwork doesn't look nearly as detailed as the work for Sideswipe does, or for the TF1 designs. As stated about this says "Transformers 2' not "Revenge of the Fallen".

Nothing about it particularly screams "fake" to me. The legs/head definitely remind me of the designs from the first movie, but eh, we'll see.

If indeed legit - there are aspects to it I like but it still kinda has the "jumbled mess of sharp angles everywhere" look I couldn't dig from the first set of bots. Oh well

Eh I don't like it.

It completely lacks the certain character-specific traits we usually find in the movie designs so far.

Soundwave's head DOES have the look of the Decepticon symbol. That's good.
But, he doesn't have a visor for eyes (red(cartoon) or yellow(toy)) nor does he sport his always present faceplate(silver(toy and original cartoon) or gold(animated!). This one has an upper and lower jaw which look to be gold, and he might have a black nose, but I can't be certain from the picture.
Adding in those will create more diversity among the Transformers, and give better reason and understanding to unique character-specific traits such as Prime's faceplate and Jazz's visor.

Also, Soundwave is known for being the big bad BLUE Decepticon. Not black, leave that black truck mode for Ironhide as his and his alone.
The blue we see in the conceptual art is nothing more than the glow his blue colored lights give off that reflect onto his black body. However, the minute use of gold and silver details is very much Soundwave.

His overall body and body structure is nothing that would strike me as Soundwave. Had i not known who this was, I would have guessed an upgraded Barricade, hence the face details, minute uses of silver and gold, the black vehicle mode, and the slouching stance. Soundwave should stand straight, tall, and with his chest out like how Optimus Prime stands. Yet, he should be more "brick-ish", statuesque, and robotic in this movements and mannerisms, as he is more like a drone or a mindless slave to Megatron's every whim. The perfect man to get the job done.

The blue circles don't strike me as Soundwave either. However, they do remind me of a villain from Batman Beyond that sported glowing blue circles on his white and black suit, which enabled him to use highly concentrated soundwaves to destroy stuff. The soundwaves shot from blue circles on his hands.

I'd rather have the Truck's from grill be on his upper chest than the blue circles. The front grill seems much more akin to Soundwave's original tape deck front. The blue chest circles should be moved to his waist area to work as a belt. When you look a the design, your eyes go straight for the chest area, what better way to advertise for GM than to have their emblem there instead of 3 blue circles?

Ravage is pure insanity. He's awesome but...
My only 2 gripes are:
1. That I wish he had 2 eyes to closer resemble a feline. Skorponok was close enough to a scorpion, so why not Ravage? Ravage should have 2 eyes, Soundwave 1 (Visor).
2. Why so silverous? Do all the smaller Transformers have to be drenched in silver? NO. Skopronok was silver, but he was also bronze. Frenzy was silver, but he also had lime gold details. Ravage needs more black in his body with only silver on his forearms/legs and mounted guns. Gunmetal details running throughout would also work great to break up the black and possibly give him a "patterned" look on his body, resembling what large cats have like tigers and jaguars.

I don't really see anything there that even remotely makes me think of Soundwave...but then it is a movie design. M E H.

I wouldn't say it's an obvious fake. Yes Soundwave himself, could be a hodgepodge, though his mid to lower body is unique and consistent with the design aesthetic from the movie.

But I gotta tell you guys, that Ravage design looks VERY FRIGGING CONSISTENT with the look of Megs and Frenzy from movie one, and it's badass and creepy and VERY well designed (even though I'm not a fan of the creepy aesthetic). This may have been an early concept, done even before the REVENGE OF THE FALLEN name. Maybe they scrapped the truck concept - but that Ravage is pretty darn convincing, dudes and dudettes.

Well Soundwave's robot mode looks like a humanoid shaped car wreck so it could be legit.

WTF is that this is why i hate the movie as they look like cracked out bugs.

Ravage looks like it just got stranded on Xenomorph-infested planet, and then scan one, before finally rendezvous with Soundwave and heading to Earth..

I don't doubt that this is legitimate concept art, but I don't believe for a second that this will be the final design.

It also looks like they tried to homage the Decepticon symbol with Soundwave's face. A reverse tribute to the fact that the Decepticon symbol was based loosely on G1 Soundwave's face! Very Fan-licious. Subtle but cool. And being subtle is NOT what Mr.Bay is about, so take that for what it's worth!

*EDIT* Also the blue disks, while cool, are not really in keeping with the movie aesthetic!

Not to bad, if legit. Soundwave looks too much like Barricade. Ravage looks cool but would prefer if he had eyes instead of the cyclops look. Soundwave should have something that resembles him like the visor.

Love Ravage. Not sure about Soundwave yet...I like how the disks on his chest try to upgrade the old G1 chest. But the face AT LEAST needs the faceplate. Keep the visor, but I want a faceplate.

Once I get the toy I'll be putting a reprolabels Decepticon logo on the middle chest disc.
