 | | | Starscream scale model on the set of Transformers 2 Images | | Posted on 06-15-2008 at 04:14 PM by Sol Fury | | Two more on set images from Transformers 2 have reached us, courtesy of a forum post on Superhero Hype. These images show a scale model of an F-22 Raptor - most likely representing Starscream - arriving on set and being unloaded from his trailer.

Bumblethumper:
I've been predicting a leader class starscream for TF2. But I assume there will only be 3 leader class toys as before. Presumably at least 1 will be an autobot, and if 'the Fallen' is in the movie, he'll get the other.
Anyway, any new Starscream toy better have hands. And a much better alt mode.

Does it still have the "missing" missle door? Sablebot: Quote:

unless they changed the bot mode to look more streamlined "G-1" but other then that the jet mode is a Stock F22 (in appearance).
lightdestroyed:
All this shows is that there is an F-22 in TF2.

I hope Tom Kenny is his voice.
Predaking:
Any chance the bot mode will be different from first movie? I don't want another gorilla with chicken legs with a bug face.

I still have my fingers crossed that Starcream will get a better robot mode, even if his alt mode stays the same.

He had two independent legs, though you can certainly be forgiven for thinking otherwise, because after the first wave of Minibots, Transformers pretty much did away with any need for having two distinct feet. If Bumblebee had been made a year later, he probably would have been that much lamer. And a year or so after that, we get Goldbug as a Throttlebot.. hard to get worse than that!
Kind of sad how TF evolution in G1 was mostly a downward spiral...

zmog | I'm holding G2 'Bee in my hands right now. He's got two legs, two feet, and one ankle. Unless you've got some magic Bumblebee, or a saw, his feet may as well be one.

(But with one of those sucky mutations, that makes it worse than usual. )
I've got a Red Bumblebee and a Yellow Cliffjumper, and both of them can extend their legs separately too. It seems like Hubcap is the same, so I think all the versions of that design have the separate legs+feet.
Maybe yours is a KO version from way back with simplified foot articulation?
zmog
Gingerchris:
Maybe G2 locked the feet together? They did alter some molds for the release.
