Cool. Concidering how much interest they had in putting him in the first one, yet not being able to do him justice yet, this isn't all that surprising. Here's hoping that he at least gets a Voyager class figure. I don't currently imagine me getting many toys from the sequels line, but a Voyager Soundwave toy would be one that I would get. Here's also hoping that Ravage does make it too. Would be cool to compare a toy version of his movie counterpart to his 25th Ann. version that we're getting with Hound.

With Soundwave(and possibly Ravage), it's practically confirmed this movie will kick ass, I hope they can get Frank Welker to voice him.

Soundwave was always my favorite Decepticon from G1, I can't wait to see him in the Movie!!

I may be wrong, but wasn't Blackout a character made from trying to get soundwave in the move? Hence the symbiotic relationship with Skorps.

Hopefully the Ravage toy won't have a weak robot mode that doesn't even show up in the movie.

Ravage sounds like an amazing addition

Soundwave should be a tricked out DJ/broadcasting truck, with the cassetticons being various killer DJ equipment. How cool would that be?!

The broadcasting dish on the top of the truck would fold in and become the shoulder blaster Soundwave always has. A recording system could become Ravage (with the tape reels for shoulders), lazerbeak could be a mixing board, etc.

They need more Decepticons that can mix in society, rather than pure military weapons.

Have you ever thought that when Bay said that, he was misleading us? Bay isn't bright enough to create a misinformation campaign.

I'm sure there's alot of wrong info out there, but the Soundwave stuff seems like a lock. They've been talking about him forever and he's hugely popular with fans. It's a natural.

I just hope they do him justice with the look and feel of the character. I know he cant be a giant boombox... but at least keep some colors and features the same. Like Cybertron Soundwave, that design is awesome!

What type of Alt mode would bay think is an "Awesome" form for Soundwave for him to be in the movie? And If Ravage Makes it, what would he transform into? I hope its not another Frenzy looking wire-bot that is shaped like a dog.

Wasn't soundwave already confirmed LIKE A THOUSAND TIMES!!!!!!!! He was confirmed after they cut him from tf1 hopefully ravage and lazerbeak come along for the ride too!(also imagine his minions coming at you in 3-d that is gonna be so bad a##!)

Sweet...here's that robot news that we never thought would come, and what good news it is, too. From the enthusiasm Orci seems to display here, I'm hoping that he'll be pretty faithful, too; after all, this is a character that he specifically wanted to include, and Soundwave's one of those who just wouldn't be who he is if not for the inclusion of key traits like the monotone voice, the symbiotic minions and the links to sound and music. If he has all those things, I'll be happy with whatever other liberties they might take.

This interview was great for more than that reveal, though; not only did it provide good and understandable reasoning for the relatively low robot content first time out, it confirms that we will be getting more this time, as we all hoped and suspected. My excitement has certainly ramped up a few notches...

man,i wonder how badly they'll screw this one up. just the thought of what his alt mode will be and his overall appearance scares me. of course he'll look horrific but will it be megatron/fuglyscream/frenzy horrific or just very horrific?

I worry about this too. Hopefully they can give him a cool look. I love Soundwave and some great lines by him would be awesome. Good news.
