Hmm.... well, I'm kind of disappointed that Megan won't be returning for TF3 after all. Hopefully Rosie Huntington-Whiteley can act well, because I'm going to be seriously pissed off if she was only cast for her face.
I'm kinda interested to see whether or not she will be replacing Megan Fox in the role of Mikeala, or whether she will be a completely new love interest.

Either way, my expectations for TF3 have gone down.

While i still believe they should have hired an actual actress, i wont hold it against her. Shes pretty and this is a big time gig for her so its kinda expected that she would just jump at the chance. Its just a shame they have to rewrite the script at this point as well.

I'll go with assumption atm because looking back on old threads in various places there is no official word of a rewrite but its been discussed (rumored?) that she had to be written in. Now it would be nice if this was written into the script to begin with, but the fact that Megan was seen (and photo'd) on location seems to indicate that she was still in the script at that point.

Megan has poor acting skills, but seemed to have some dignity. Rosie's experience in front of a camera is wearing angel wings, or some other get-up, with nothing else but lingerie, while strutting herself down a runway or posing in a photo-shoot. If her dignity is shot, she will be easy for Bay to work with. But she will have no effect on the outcome of the film.

I was going to say "in before 'misinformation campaign'" but I see I'm already too late. Never over-estimate this fandom, I say.

i read that and i was actually thinking of posting it in the news forum... but it seems like tabloid gossip and cannot be backed up by reliable sources. it's the same kind of gossip without any basis to the level of michael bay hiring megan fox after making her wash his ferrari in a bikini. it looks a lot like the writer of that article just based all of his/her information on stuff we haven't already not known before and then just laced it with his/her own creative imagination.
