| Revenge of the Fallen Voice Actors for Arcee and Sideswipe: Susan Blu and Jason Griffith? |
| Posted on 06-15-2009 at 01:21 PM by Deefuzz | The Transformers Live Action Movie Blog is reporting that the voice actors for Arcee and Sideswipe in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen have been identified.
Susan Blu is reported as being the voice of Arcee. Susan is the voice of Arcee from both Generation 1 and Animated series of Transformers. Jason Griffith is most known for his voice acting work of Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog in several games and animated appearances.

This isn't the first time I've heard this Jason Griffith thing going about, and I'm still not entirely clear where it came from. The actors are a bit all over the place - as a 4Kids-er, Griffith is a New York based actor, while Kenny, Cullen, Welker and Blu are all California-based, and that IS a factor, so I'm not fully convinced by this.
(But, godjammit, seriously, people have SEEN THE FREAKING MOVIE. Would it have been so hard to check out the credits? They managed it for the premiere of the FIRST movie! I want to know who's doing the voices!!)

I'm thrilled to hear that Susan Blu was hired to play Arcee. She's contributed so much to Transformers over the years; it's nice to see she's still a part of it, for both Animated, and the film!  Now, if only Arcee survives the movie!
This also means both the actors I was hoping would get parts made it in: Frank Welker and Susan Blu! I'm pretty happy! 
I'm looking forward to hearing Sideswipe speak as well; I like his design. I don't know much of Sonic, but, seeing as he's a speedy character, and Sideswipe is as well, it should match up very nicely.  Radioactive Ravage: Quote:

Chill the hell out. Personally, I think Griffith suffered from the fact that Sega gave him bad dialogue. Now we'll just have to wait and see what he sounds like in the movie before we pass judgment, won't we?
Besides, I'm sure Rob Orci was writing for Sideswipe's character and said, "Damn, I think he should be just like Sonic the Hedgehog."

Jason Griffith voicing Sideswipe eh? Well, hopefully he won't use his Sonic voice. For such a badass-looking character to have a high pitched voice like that, it would just be....very odd. Although it WOULD be funny if Sideswipe said "You're too slow!" (Sonic quote from Brawl) after cutting Sideways in half.

Couldn't make a note of the credits as so many people were leaving before the end of the film when the credits came up the view was blocked. Only thing I saw was Frank Welker had three credits

The more I think, the more I realize - Cullen, Welker, Blu, Kenny, Adler, Harnell, Foxworth, Ryan, McCrary... *every* voice actor from the first movie and all those confirmed from the second... I'm pretty sure *all* of them are California-based actors. So I'm finding it very hard to credit this Griffith claim.

Man, seeing all these complaints about Griffith and Sonic, it's like Tom Kenny and Animated Starscream all over again. Tons of people bagged on him when the news first broke back then of him doing Starscream, just because he also voices Spongebob Squarepants. Flash forward to the end of the series, and well, look how well his performance turned out...

Just take Liv Tyler in 'Armageddon,' or that Aussie chick in the first 'Transformers.' Women can't be 'plain' in a Bay film...they have to be drop-dead gorgeous, Maxim covergirls.

I honestly don't know who I'd want to hear voicing Sideswipe (David Sobolov is just the first that comes to mind), but I can't imagine it being Griffith.

I'm glad to see Susan Blu doing the voice of Arcee again, This time for the movie.
So far we got Peter Cullen, Frank Welker and now Susan Blu, All G1 veterans part of the movie.
As for Jason Griffith, Its gonna be interesting on how he will sound like as Sideswipe, Hes best known as the voice of Sonic and Shadow from the Sonic The Hedgehog video games. Now would be funny if sideswipe had the Sonic voice.

I am thrilled Sue as been rumored to play Arcee. I hope she plays all three sisterbots. She is the Female Peter Cullen. The character of Arcee is so distinct to me that if anyboy else did her than I wouldn't be the same.
Sideswipe and Sonic is a bit of a surprised. I am waiting hear what he sounds like becuase I absolutly love his look.
