Megan Fox's ex-fiancee Brian Austin Green reveals in an interview, that the cast and crew are all over the place and that the principal photography will be going over to Egypt soon. Tyrese Gibson has also mentioned that the crew will be heading to Jordan and a few other locations. A casting call had previously been reported for background males to play Egyptian/Jordanian soldiers. Nelson from Michael Bay's old forums said they were scouting Egypt as a possible location for the film.

In an interview with the "Preston and Steve" morning show on Philadelphia's 93.3 WMMR, Megan Fox's ex-fiancee Brian Austin Green says that, "they're (the cast and crew) all over the place." He adds that the principal photography will go over to Egypt soon.

Mr. Green was promoting the television show "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," in which he plays Derek Reese.

Tyrese Gibson (Sergeant Epps) has also recently confirmed that the crew will go overseas to Jordan and, "a few other locations."

This overseas work may be pieced together with certain scenes that were filmed sometime in July in the Los Angeles, CA area. A casting call had popped up early July looking for background males to play "Egyptian/Jordanian soldiers."

"Nelson" has said previously said that Director Michael Bay was scouting Egypt as a possible location for the film.

Good for TF2:ROTF. It looks like it will be a lot more global in scale. Movie is gonna be sick.
Blitzflipper:
Hmm... remember that rejected outline from last year (that turned out to be right about Sam going to an East Coast college while Mikaela stayed out west)...?

The climax there was set in the Egyptian-themed Luxor casino in Vegas, where the big pyramid was hiding a vast store of Allspark energy.....

Did they decide to move out of Nevada, and go for the real Egypt?

(highlight-to-read for possible spoilers....)

correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a recent pic of a humongous pyramid in filming with a flim-crew on it....?
Fit For natalie:
That's the LA-based scene the article above was talking about, I believe. Pyrimids collapsing.
Mega-con:
Yeah, I still think that outline will be used to some extent.
Dropshot:
So, now we have a solid connection between the TFs and the egypt pyramids, we jut have to learn what purpose they served.
mordecai6:
Isn't this slightly similar to the plot of the energon series with the mini cons helping out ancient civilizations?
uraydo:
I really really really hope this movie doesn't have a the-pyramids-were-built-by-an-alien-life-form type theme. That would be mega-lame.

Not so lame if they show a sequence from the past where the Autobots were the ones putting pyramid stones in place, since it's always being speculated how humans moved such large pieces.

respectfully disagree - if Bots (or really, about any TFs) had helped the Egyptians or other early peoples - than I would think they'd have found the AllSpark much sooner & Earth wouldn't have been a big mystery for the "current" TFs. And Megatron would likely have been destroyed or thawed, rather than chilling til 1903.

However, given that the Egyptians were the most mathematically advanced human civilization (maybe Mayans/Aztecs tied in some areas), perhaps some of their calculations indicated some big event, which the TFs can take advantage of?

I agree and I also agree even more with what comedian Eddie Griffin recently said about the whole matter in his recent comedy film, "Freedom of Speech". Yes, he's a comedian, but he gives some very interesting and logical insight into how the pyramids may have been built , and several other things- he uses a sandbox metaphor, and it makes perfect sense how it could tie in to how the pyramids may have been built. I'm so sick and tired of people thinking that little green or grey beings from another planet (or slaves, which turned out NOT to be true) helped the ancient egyptians build the pyramids. Never is that said about the Colosseum or the Colossus of Rhodes (which doesn't exist anymore), and while the "Luxor" in Vegas is a neat imitation, it does not compare to the real thing. Maybe many ancient peoples were more in tune spiritually and with their potential for greatness. I remember reading somewhere that modern humans only use 7% of all their brain power, whereas ancient peoples knew how to tap into all 100% of it. Hmmmm. . . . . .

.............. Anyhooo, I bet they are going to film in Egypt because of the FACT that the TF's are ALL OVER the WORLD HIDING in SECRECY. That said Egypt is a pretty awesome place hmm maybe a giant climax-ending movie scene?

My thoughts exactly. What's the problem with filming being done in Egypt? Maybe they're looking for Scorpinok?
