This seems to be a new, more accurate replica. The one that was customized and sold during the first movie's run was a much lighter shade of blue, etc.

So, they finally decided to add Movie Optimus Prime to the Masterpiece line, with chrome and rubber tires.
I took an hour and a half to transform MP-5 Megatron, I wonder how many days it'll take to transform this one using the 500 page instructions.
Is this going to be sold on Toys'R'Us? I hope it has long smokestacks (damn you Hasbro!).

It's the same one as two years ago. Parked in the same truck lot in Miami. The guy who owns it is friendly and if you live near Miami Gardens/ Opa Locka in South Florida, he'll let you climb in it and take pictures... like I did... Don't think he has any real intention of selling it...draws too much attention to his truck dealership.

Yes, and the interior has been changed somewhat, changed the wood paneling to flames. But it's definetly the same guy, the truck is even parked under the same billboard as when I was there. Now it's possible this guy made another, nearly identical, or maybe he's been tweaking it.

Yeah, but he wants the one used in the movie with the Autobot emblem on the front. He told me back in 2007. I really hope Peter gets to own the truck once they are done with the movies. He loves those trucks and used to drive them back in the day. And if you ever have the chance to talk to Peter outside of an interview or an autograph session, do not pass it up. He is an absolute joy to talk with.

There was another one of these that was posted on Ebay when the first movie came out. That one looked alot better and I believe it had the Autobot symbol on top of the grill like the movie version has.

He said he used to drive the trucks around. Not sure if it was a job or what. But he did mention having to literally turn the steering wheel around a few rotations to make turns. And also being high up above even the big SUVs is awesome.

But yeah, if you ever get the chance to talk to him or if he wants to talk to you(as in my case) when he's not busy and just killing time, take it. Definitely worth your time.

Straight awesomeness and for the 2 peeps who said they'ed get a b license and drive even without trailer still requires an A because its considered a power unit and is made to move a trailer reguardless if its connected or not I know i ve been down that road with an old employer not fun so who's goin halfs?
