EDIT: I do like the Fallen however. He has a decent color, and I like the orangeish highlights. And he also has a real design to him. Not just random bits of metal like Megatron was. The Fallen actually looks good.

More thoughts that are complete and utter speculation and not a declaration of anything:
I'm thinking that if any of the Constructicons were to not have a robot mode (following that rumour of '6 transform into robots too, 7th may not'), it'd be the cement mixer. My visualization of Devastator's proportions have that as really tiny, and the toy mixer's likely going to be stuffed with Deva-Face.
Maaaaan I am pumped to see more toy pics now. >.<

I really dig both of these. Devestator will look better in CGI, no doubt, once he's lit under realistic lighting and dirtied up. He looks kind of cartoony in this shot because he's unrealistically clean (and we know from the first movie that the robots get pretty grimy)
I am really surprised how much I like The Fallen. Although, in the image we have, I'm confused by his torso. Does he have four arms?

I think it's a pretty good interpretation of G1 Devastator except for the head, which I think is more goofy than anything.
By the way the thumbnail for the news article is kinda spoilerific, Vangelus or any mod in charge of the news posts, maybe you should change it.

He has giant hip bones.
edit: Ok, I guess they're not on his hips.
But he does have weird torso-protrusions.

Fallen in pimp. He just looks great. I'm glad they didn't go with the boxy, bulky look of the original. He looks alien even compared to the other aliens. (which is a good thing)

I actually prefer the look of the Fallen in toy form. If this is the final version to be used in the film, he looks very scrawny. The torso is just this stick that's as wide as his face.

Yeah, not talking about the hips. The protrusions from mid-torso seem to run directly into his elbows.
I wonder if his biceps, for lack of a better term, are not one solid piece but made of two pieces. A piece coming from the shoulders and these torso bits.
Also, does anyone know how close these designs are to the final characters? Just as Megatron's face changed from the first CGI images we got for the first movie, I wonder to what extent changes have/had been made to these.

Believe it or not, I had a very similar visual. Gotta sketch out my idea now. But yeah, recently I'd been pondering how they go about dealing with the combined form's face. They could've gone a cheap way and used the face of the toy we've seen so far (as I thought it looked like a chest piece, much like Wedge of RID), but a creative way would be to have it stored in the cement mixer. Specifically, the cement mixer could split in half and the face folds out.
And that's my theory.

Holy Cow!!! I've been waiting weeks to see what Devastator will look like. I am happy now. This is a great way to wake up in the morning like that. The first thing that popped in my mind when I caught the news about Dev. was the teaser we saw during the Super Bowl, where Prime got pwned. It made me wonder if that was the hand of Devastator that clobbered Prime in the head.

the fallen's toy didn't really wow me, it looked interesting but nothing special, but that cgi render looks like it wants to give me aids and nightmares.
these make up entirely for the retardo twins designs, and make up in advance if wheel-e is annoying.

I really like the look of devastator, looks much faster and nastier than his G1 namesake.
However I'm not too keen on the fallen, he looks too much like frenzy in that he is stickthin. Its like if he were to fight Megatron in battle he would probably be snapped in two!
