Revenge of the Fallen Devastator Revealed

The toy to the Fallen looks better, the humanoid - alien esqueness really backs up the underlining evil "hidden truth" thing that he was all about in the War with in series. Devastator. I'm not completely sold on this design at the moment. He dos'nt really look evil, especialy in this pose. He looks more like the retard in your class that dos'nt realise his own strength, bit of a hazard to him self and not many people like him anyway. It'd be interesting to see whaat they do with him in the movie. Yeah this pic is in the same vain as the 1st movies teaser pics. To me, during the teaser trailor the steam shovel Constructicon, with his strange/killer robot mode hinted that Devastator could be this insanely colosal freakazoid who could eat any hope you have just by doing nothing. But that's just me.

I like both of the designs haha.

No. Where did you get that idea? Universe is the line that's being put on hold for the movie. Animated is taking it's spot as sub line.

Not that I'm in the "OMG FALLEN lOokZ liek teh BIONICLES!!1!1" camp, but if you want to say he looks like a Bionicle character, then Makuta is the best.
A) Because he's the ultimate evil guy (or at least he was back when I followed Bionicle)
and
B) Because that was one of my favorite Bionicle toys back in the day.

The Fallen looks like an Alienish Pharoh. I like it, Im glad how they blended a Pharohy egyptian look to him, Devs is just WOW! He will kick some ass, I have a feeling he will kill atleast 4 transformers.....ATLEAST

Well Roodaka is skinnier and Makuta is bulky. Plus Roodaka has similar body details

I'm loving every design I've seen so far, I personally LIKE seeing Transformer designs turn on its head (but I LOVED BM, so most of you will crucify me just for that)
I mean we HAVE to realize Bays intention was to have HIS transformers to be as un-Human as possible, the Decipticon's more-so. Yes they have two arms, two legs, one head, a torso, But beyond that they can do what ever they want regardless of what some fans want. Devastator screams this fact and it works GREAT! Im glad he's outside the "Cookie-cutter" combiner look ( I mean hell ALL GeeWun Combiners all looked the same, proportion wise) If your single purpose of combining is to "smash" why be "Dainty"? Be top heavy (Big arms, massive torso) and as Savage as possible. And for "The Fallen" why should the (Conceivably) 1st Decipticon be bulky? If its anywhere near as old as the TF race is why have Armour, Artillery, what not? He SHOULD be thin (skeletal even) and as far as looking alien... REALLY?!? He is an ALIEN DUH! beside our basis for alien is his proportions and his "Egyptian" style, from the rumors mention, he was THE theme behind the Egyptian look.

Overall whoever in charge of the ROTF designs so far, I applaud you!

Bah! Its cool..although ive gotten used to Bayformers designs like ages ago, I concur with most posts here that the porportion is a little "off"; but it fits the whole giant effing monster design. The head is a little "busy" but IMHO that the designers are going with the all cybertronians theme are unique premise; Devy = dumb lunk; hulking killing machine of ultimate Doom!!

Oh, and the Fallen = Totally "oh look at me, im all skinny and puny weakling...but i say hes all for laying a giant smackdown on all humankind...and cybertronians.....!!

Well, This to me confirms the Constucticon in the trailer isn't an arm, as Peaugh speculated in his video review.

Could someone with an *ahem* "advanced copy" of this Steam Shovel figure try to put him in his combiner module mode. Looks like he is the upper torso/back/shoulders to me! Thanks!

Oh and I like that G1 ish recolor.... Although it's kinda boring, and I think on screen it would downplay the fact that it's the combination of 7 robots. That could be another reason for all the colors. But if Hasbro (inevitably) does a G1 repaint for Devs, he's bought.

I'm simply loving Devastator. Of course, I'll try to find the G1 version for sale on the internet.

I like the Fallen's look overall. You can definitely see the Egyptian reference/influence in his "head gear", and his face looks like a demonic version of the Decepticon logo.


I still think he transforms into Transmetals 2 Megatron.

I love The Fallen but Devestator... WTF?!

Why are devastators legs around 1/4 length of his arms? Why is his head bigger than each of his legs. He will probably be a great toy but this is so dissapointing as it is one of their best attempts at combiners because it is for the movie. Why cant they just make him more upright like Optimus prime stands.

How are they going to pull off Devastator's mind? Is he one being separated into seven parts? Or are the individual Constructicons' minds going to wrestle for control of the body?

I love The Fallen's look, but I'm not fully sold on Devastator, though part of that may be due to the wonky posture and perspective.
Two things are winning me over on Devs though: his size, if you consider the red RH-400 parts to be the unicycle bot that crashes through the bridge, and my personal speculation on his 'sound'.

It looks to me like the turbine we heard about might actually be... his head. If so, imagining the noise he might make when he opens his mouth sounds really cool in my head... sort of like the T-Rex roar from Jurassic Park X100 crossed with a hurricane, only hollow and metallic and HUGE.

Also, I get the impression that the first time those massive construction vehicles/robots form Devastator onscreen is going to be extremely impressive...

Interesting point; most of the G1 Decepticon combiners had something about how they fought for control in combined mode, which is why most of them had such a low intelligence rating. Maybe whomever is the "leader" is the primary "brain," but the other Constructicons sometimes try to overrule him.

I still find it hilarious that in the end his color scheme is basically the orange-ish knock off from back in the day~ Who knew that realism won the day lol. I kid tho, it's great! Gorilla Devastator, makes sense I guess he was always dumb combined...

I can handle the Devastator design. It's not too bad at all and I guess this will at least somewhat make up for how bad the robot designs are for Mudflap and Skids, which I hope were soley created for the purpose of being killed off early in the movie.

Good job on the digibash, and to Blitz as well. Anyone tried toning down the face glow yet? Seems like it might be less distracting, or at least see the details. After the long second look, Devs is still a butterface.

Now, I wonder will we ever get the Animated Omega or the rest of the Dinobots in MP scale to go toe-to-toe with this guy...

I agree, and said already, that I wouldn't want Devastator called anything but Devastator. It would f everything up.

Doesn't make it any less lazy. There is an audience that *only* saw the movie, and didn't buy the rest of the 10,000 tie-in products. It's pretty easy to overlook, right? It's just as easy to fix. Construction guy should know doing the job right the first time is more cost-effective, easier, and leaves everybody happier in the end.
