Um...wow. Not what I was expecting at all. Taking time to look at it...yeah, I can dig it.

Much like all the designs from the last movie I am going to need to see this one in motion and from multiple angle before I pass judgment.

At first I was not sold on that face but the more I think about it from a story perspective the more I think it could be a really cool thing

Interesting if real. Looks like the cement mixer isn't the chest but rather the face. I wonder where the excavator/power shovel Constructicon from the Super Bowl ad is on Devastator.

Nice burning/glowing molten lava effect on the Fallen.

Can't make out the turbine thats suppose to be in his chest. Right now, I'm not digging the design, but I'll wait to see more before I make my final decision.

You can see that it's the only red part,
and the paper behind Devastator says so.

The head's a bit too busy and the pose is kind of an awful perspective on Devastator.

The Fallen seems... thin.

Devastator looks like a Tubeworm crossed with a Gorilla.
The Fallen looks like a Starcraft (or invader zim) crossover.
I will very likely pass on both. Bleh.

Execution qualms aside, the idea of the Devastator head reveal ERUPTING from the cement mixer is awesome.

Already gave my thoughts on Devs.

As for the Fallen.

OMFG THAT IS THE MOST BADASS THING EVER.

And I really really don't think that's Jetfire.

hmmm Devy doesn't look right, the scale on some of those vehicles don't match up.

the head is way too big, obviously made from the cement mixer, the barrel the cement goes in is the same size as that entire crane (from that pic anyways) maybe it's just a fucked up perspective shot like those stupid ones from the first movie where the bots are in the most rediculous poses imaginable.

i dont think therewill be any more Fallen=Jetifre threads after seeing that pic! wow, thats awesome stuff. dont like Devs yet, though id like to see him from a more flattering angle... something about him just seems off... if they didnt use this design and this was just misinformation, id be more than happy ^_^

That's the impression I got. Reminded me of a lot of the first movie's CG promo pics in a bad way. Jazzhands Megatron!

The Fallen looks really homagey with the veins of magma. If those like...flow constantly in the movie, I will give him a shout out on the podcast.

I have to agree and we have to remember you could probably fit a few football fields between his toes and his hands. plus we don't have any thing else in the pic to give us any seance of depth

If Devastator shoop-da-woop's out of his mouth I will love this movie forever.

Devastator is really homagey as well, I couldn't believe they could put so much green into him. Looks awesome, I have absolutely no issues at all calling him Devastator!

Where's that Megatron pic? I only see the fallen and Devastator. Is that all there is?

Anyone out there wanna photoshop something onto the Devastator pic for a sense of scale? I ask this because I am useless at doing so.

Also- it looks to me like Commander Doomwheels assumes one of those original robot mode attempts where he's a box with a cavity in the middle. Guessing the Cement Mixer (Head) and Back Hoe (if it's the pelvis) plug in there.

Ho. Ly. SHITBALLS. Devs is all 'BLAARGH I KEEL YOU' and The Fallen is all 'Don't even THINK about messin' with me' and Megs is all 'Hey, I'm still here!'. This movie shall ROCK THE EFFING BALLS.

Also, imagine that Devs as the rumoured 2-foot toy. That thing will EAT YOU IN YOUR SLEEP.

no way the toy is 2 feet tall. look at how much of the torso the excavator makes up. I say 16 inches max.

Bear in mind though, it looks like he's completely bent over. Standing straighter, he's probably got a pelvis piece + an entire vehicle per leg.

Again having to WTF at this choice of pose and angle. >.< I mean even if it's an internal pic it doesn't really seem to encompass the sheer scale that Devastator would likely be meant to get across.

Pretty stunning, some great ideas there and I hope they translate well to the toys.

The Fallen looks great there, way cleaner and more skeletal then the toy but the toys still pretty pimp.

Looking kinda chibi there Devie.
At the very least, it'll make for one fun toy.

I think that the Devestator pic is definately suffering from a poor pose, just like the Prime squat thrust stock photo from the first movie.

But he'll still kill anything within a 4 mile radius.

Yeah, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's being taken to the bad old days of movie 1's promotional renders here; it's like they felt that since they'd worked really hard on the articulation of the robots, they wanted to showcase that by putting them in poses that utilises every single joint at the same time. Given how busy movie designs are anyway, you just end up with Cubist nightmares like this Devastator render.

That said, from what I can actually visually comprehend of this design, I'm encouraged. The transformation of the limbs is very traditional gestalt, and the colour blend has come out a lot better than I thought. The head design's decent, too; I hope they tone the green glow down a bit so we can see the eyes and mouth more clearly, but the boxy head is classic Devs. Everything between that is up in the air; I'd love to comment on the body and neck, because it seem like there's something interesting going on there in terms of the way they're put together, but because of this ridiculous pose I just can't see them properly. Still, first impressions are good.

As for The Fallen, he actually looks rather different from the toy, but again, I wonder if that's just screwed perspective talking. This render makes his head look really tall, like Beast Machines Blackarachnia, whereas the toy's head has that elongation sloping backwards, like Alien. I'd prefer the latter to the former, so we'll see on that, but otherwise I like the design as much as I did when I saw clear pics of the toy.

Oh, and to reiterate the two key points arising from The Fallen image:
1) Yes, he is on fire.
2) No, he's not Jetfire.

The picture says on it which vehicle goes where.

The Excavator is the torso.
Crane = Left Arm
Dump Truck = Right leg
? (Oddly, I'm blanking on what this is called... It's early...) = Right Arm
Bulldozer = ? (Left Leg)
Mixer =? (I'd guess back and head?)
Backhoe = ? (Crotch?)
