Ramon Rodriguez to Return for Transformers 3

I could do without him really, he was annoying and whinney. More so than Sam, who at least had reason enough to whine. No, I say axe him and focus on Sam, Mikaela, Epps, Lennox and Graham (the SAS captain). With the parents making appearances as plot requires.

The "Humor" in these movies sadly is on par with the garbage that passes for "Humor" in "Comedy" films these days.

I agree...this "humor" is insulting and as low-brow as it gets.

Bay is the Director and Executive Producer, he decides what goes into the film and does alot more than the shooting. So yes we can blame him for the trashy humour, annoying characters ( Leo, The Twins ) etc. If he didn't like the script then he could have had it re written or could have cut the scenes in question from the final film.

I maybe wrong but I think Bay was on board before the writers, so this would mean that they would all sit down and discuss the script with Bay giving his ideas about where the movie's story should go.

I, like alot of fans, was badly disappointed by the movie, but saying Bay is blameless is just not true.

The humor needs to return back to the level of the first Movie. And try to make it also a bit more intelligent.

"The boy's pheromone levels suggest he wants to mate with the female."

One of my favorite lines in the movie and it had the entire theater rolling. That's a good example for intelligent humor and it felt really awkward as well, because Ratchet didn't know about human relations. So Ratchet is very blunt about the things he says.

In ROTF, you would have the Twins go like "Dude, he so wants to hit that."

Probably the only good news is about this is that they're actually talking "Transformers 3".

Can't say I'm thrilled about Leo coming back...

He was alright... well if he's going to be on the third one I'm hoping it doesn't turn into a long thing like the twins I really wanted to see more character development from the transformers not the comic relief characters

What if Leo became the inheritor of Simmons' role? Let's say Simmons sacrifices himself to save Earth. (He already put himself in jeopardy with Devastator et al.) Let's also say that Leo studies Simmons' work as much as he can. (He is already very interested in that.) In that case, Leo would be a good replacement for the funny older guy. The two of them even have similar hair, which is crucial.

Why don't they bring back Maggie, Glen and the team? If they spent a long time analysing Transformer signals, they could help to predict Decepticon attacks. The Autobots can't always do the spy work, especially when they are busy fighting.

Because they were horrible characters, terrible actors (mainly Maggie) and completely and utterly unconvincing in their roles. Also it didn't help that they were part of a subplot that went nowhere except for Snoozeville.

I wouldn't mind a Maggie and Glen cameo to indicate they joined the many NEST analysts.

As for Leo, I found him very funny. Maybe he could get kidnapped by a Decepticon, enabling them more screentime, which is something I keep requesting of the two leads.

Easiest way for him to be reintroduced is have him be the one to find one of the other Seekers or discover something by using his blog.

Then again he could be replacing Mikela with the behind and cleavage shots LOL

Infact Bay did create the Twins entire charecter and the idea of there personality. Bay is definently to blame for the Twins.

Devastator Balls can be blamed on a person in a writers interview who suggested the idea and Bay for actually putting it in the film.

The Dog humping was probably created in a writers discussion and was most likely finalised by Bay.

The cloned robots can be blamed on ILM because they had barely any time to make the robots after Bay chose to keep the budget low on the robots so he could have more shots of them.

The cleavage and rear shots can be blamed on Bay as he says "It is what the teen audience want to see"

The bad camera angles and badly placed props can be blamed on Bay as that is his way of shooting and he chose to film so you dont see the whole robot because it is easier to animate.

Yep, the robots took such a backseat that my 5 yr old nephew fell asleep waiting for Optimus to come back!! If this is supposed to be a kids movie then keep them interested.

For sure, most everybody I talked to just thought all the college crap and the extra running around Egypt was a waste of time.

At least the Autobots HAD more lines in the 1st movie, this time not only did they have to take a backseat to the Decepticons (which I get, it was ROTF) and humans, they didn't get a chance to converse with each other!! Total fail.

I have to say that I enjoyed the Leo Spitz character and Ramon Rodriguez's performance in this movie (especially when put together with John Turturro. Those two were a riot); He starts off as a bit of annoying character, but he gradually becomes one of my favorites.

Sometimes people genuinely don't know why, and they need/want to know. Not everyone seems to have their fingers on the pulse of the Hollywood community. I've heard this question asked in seriousness about every week on other podcasts and message boards. All I did was give a quick summary of current trends of the Hollywood mindset.

I dont like the idea of alot of humans being in the movie but it is taking place on earth and there bound to run into a couple here and there so stop bitching about humans being in the movie to much. Its comman sense that they are going to be in the film..

There is a difference between humans being in the film and humans being the main screen presence in a movie that is supposed to be about giant robots.

I couldn't agree more. Leo was a waste of space and screen time, and just keep the major human cast. Sam, Mikaela, Lennox, Epps, and Sam's parents. And maybe Simmons, no more. If anything they should have brought back Maggie and Glen, instead of introducing a absolutely obnoxious, idiotic whinner Leo. Should have had more Sam/Alice interaction, then wasting precious movie time with Leo.

As long as he stays away from Tasers I'll be good
