Well, any sliver of hope for the third movie being any better is already gone, good job Bay! and thank you, I can already start ignoring it.

Uggg by far the most useless and annoying character in the whole movie, I'd take more twins over this guy any day.

I would've prefered more Simmons, personally. I don't hate Leo, but Simmons, to me, really stood out as a "comedy relief" character that was done well.

I have not yet begun to snob! The only Leo I adore is a Ninja Turtle, sir!

Wait, I just skimmed it again, search mainly for Bay's name and TF3 and I don't see where Michael Bay actually says anything to the effect that he'll be a bigger character.

gah!!! what the freaking hell!!! he was the worst character in the entire film! all he cared about was looking or sounding cool, or getting in Alice or Mikaela's pants! and he was the bulk of the sex jokes that were the cornyist or the stupidest! like the part where he has his freaking pants down?? totally unnecessary!!! he was just plain annoying, stupid, and pointless! if he dose return, i hope he gets stepped on or blown up!!!!

We don't need any more comic relief. The Movies are full of it already. The stupid and juvenile humor needs to be dialed down. A lot. The first Movie was fun and had just the right amount of humor, with only Bumblebee's peeing being out of place. Why must almost every scene, that doesn't feature Transformers fight, be filled with comic relief?

Bay, next time more "The Rock", less "Bad Boys 2".

Leo is a terrible character and I'm not pleased that Bay is set to bring him back, and with bigger screentime, to boot. Not the kind of information I want to hear on TF3.

taking words from sam no no no no no no on i liked his charcter whens hes acting likean idiot tazing him self & being tazed alot but i found his character very annyoning only parts i like about his character is when he was at the buthcer shop everything else after teh butcher shop i liked about his character.

but everything befre before the butcher shop scene where hes in college it felt like i was watching jazz in human form again he was irriattin when he was scarred im ganna do this im going to the cops im glad the twins where there in that scene the help recover that part of the film.

if hes not complaing, being scarred, & just sticking with his funny parts tazing himself & more i can deal with his character find out what happens

As has been stated in this thread several times, Paramount still has it listed for 2011. Paramount has not moved the date yet, per Bay's wishes. Thus, it's still July 1, 2001 until Paramount moves it.

Another important factor is the writers too. We don't even know if Kurtzman and Orzi are coming back or not. What happens if the writers themselves (whoever that ends up being) don't like Leo and don't want to give him that meatier part? Who prevails in cases like that?

Based on their shitty writing this time I hope those two don't come back, or if they do they READ THE PREVIOUS SCRIPTS so there's no all this "what the...." from us posters.

Now, back to this kid, remember guys it could have been Jonah Hill so at least we have that to be thankful for.

Paramounts wants a July 1, 2011 release Date, while Bay Wants a July 14 2012 Release

I didn't really mind Leo in the movie, I thought he was funny, but to me he felt a little useless. I hope they do something a little more with him. I did like the ball jokes. Heh. ^_^

I did hear Bay saying he wanted a year off, so the moive should be out in 2012, not 2011. I'd love the new movie out sooner, but should be pushed.

We already have John Tutorro we don't need another buffon. If they utilize him in a more serious manner I'm game. If they decide to make him Tutrroro's mini me again I won't be happy.

Really why? Everyone that I know that have watched the movie between friends and family thought he was the most annoying part of the movie.

Not a surprise. I am sure they want to get him signed to a contract before his value/price goes way up. ROTF is surely going to lead to other roles for him. He was pretty damn good in it. Having two fast-talking actors was a bit much... hard to keep up with their banter the first time I saw it since I didn't know what to expect. I caught it all the second time. It's just kind of a bummer for his character that he didn't really do anything heroic and was all comedy. He dodge Dev's feet... but that's not really much help. Of course, it may have been corny to have him suddenly do a big action moment after basically being a puss the whole movie.

I hope they bring Sam's parents back again. I still think the guy that played Sam's dad was the best actor in the film. Especially the scene were Sam makes them go with BB. That was easily the best acting in the whole thing. I got a little misty.

This represents a perfect reason not to see TF3 or at the very least wait till DVD. He was even more annoying than the The Twins!

Is there no love for Miles from the first movie?!? I wonder what happened to him. His judge of character (re: his comments about Mikaela) were spot on.

Michael Bay gave us more robots this time. And I felt disappointed with that much screen-time for the robots. As in, I don't think he knew what to do with them, so he just made them fight every single scene they were in. If that's the case, then I'm all for having more Sam, Mikaela, and Leo.

Though, if Leo would get the nickname "Chip", that'd be so much cooler

What bothers me about this news is not that he's returning in TF3 but that Bay is apparently going to direct it.

Was sorta hoping that he wouldn't come back and they would get a director that could give the 'bots some sort of, I don't know, DEPTH and emotion. Maybe someone who could give Arcee four or five lines in the flick too. That'd be nice.

Anyway, I hope this "meatier" role means that he'll have a purpose. He was pretty pointless in ROTF.

If they are bringing Leo back I hope to god they get rid of the twins. Can't stand them all being in the same movie, one or the other is fine by me.

This reminds me of Armada a lot. You had Rad, Carlos and Alexis and now we have Sam, Leo and Mikaela. But I hope Leo will be more with Simmons then he is with Sam and Mikaela.

I didn't find him as annoying as some of the members here obviously do, but I did find his role rather... extraneous. I guess I'm just having trouble thinking what he could possibly contribute.

This is bad news. I found him annoying and also could barely understand a damn word he was saying. More SAS Graham would be appreciated though, was hoping he'd have a lot more to do alongside Lennox (Not much of an Epps fan. he has his place. i guess..). Still, its hard to get the balance right that pleases everybody i suppose. But i think two sams is a little much.

I liked him. He was kinda funny.
