See what you guys did? She's not coming back now!

Fixed for our Austrailian friend
Might Gaine:
What about the mysterious Cybertonian tattoo on her shoulder(back?)?
Mega-con:
She sounds a little bitter. Anytime someone utters the phrase "I didn't want to do it, anyway." they really did.
Gnaw:
Good. She was a terrible actor and her role was pointless.
Laser_Optimus:
Thank god... didn't care for her character in the first movie (though, she herself was a good actress... much better than the eyecandy that played Mikela...)
j.a.f.o.:
I'd like to know what work she has lined up that would be considered commercially "better" than than a major Hollywood film such as Transformers.
*checks IMDB for Rachael Taylor's future projects*
Yep, absolutely nothing.
I was actually annoyed by her in the movie, particularly by what sounded like an over-exaggeration of her Australian accent (which I know she has naturally).
Vangelus:
No offense meant to her as it's not her doing, but her character kind of barely fit into the first movie in the first place. >.>
Oh, the signal hacker subplot.
funkatron101:
Nothing against her, but I wish they scrapped that entire plot point in the first movie. Completely useless.
Nightrain:
Since everyone else is beating up on the poor girl, I'll go ahead and say I'm gonna miss her sexy voice.
G1Wheeljack:
Well that's one less human and one more spot a Transformer can fit into.
Grimlock_13:
She wasn't nearly has horrible an actress at Megan Fox...but thank god the hackers won't be back. It wasn't needed in the first movie in the slightest.
Dropshot:
She knew since the beginning that oit would be hard to adapt her character for a sequel, I remember an interview with her last year saying that adding another data analyst would be a hard thing to do. After all, she wasn't bad in her character, what killed the hacker subplot was Glenn.
TheNexusRebound:
The hackers served a purpose at the start of the film. Toward the end it seemed extremely tacked on and an over all after though. Even though she was beautiful I am happy she isn't coming back.
Satomiblood:
So that other Aussie actress that was previously linked to TF2 could be replacing Taylor as Maggie, or are they doing away with that character altogether?

Pretty sure they're doing away with her character all together. The other actress is getting different role I believe... though I have kept up much with that... aside from the fact that the new actress was apparently hand picked by Spielberg...
Night Flame:
You know, hackers straight out of high school going to college at the same time as other high school kids in TF1 going to college? Absolutely right, she wouldn't fit into the new film AT ALL! Not that I wanted to see her back, but she'd fit better into the suggested plot for TF2 than she did in TF1. She already knows Sam, she's going to be in college, and there's every chance she'd have ties to whatever agency gets set up in the government to deal with the great alien menace that we can't allow anyone to know about.
I didn't like her character, but this is precisely the sort of grounding that could have been used to build on the mythos, instead of scraping and acting like it's an all new story for each film.
konichan:
Good I Hated That Superfluous Story Line

Yes because getting rid of crappy characters and bad actors can only hurt a sequel. Here, let's keep all the flaws in the first because it'll add to the mythos.

Well if they are letting Bay direct it again and keeping the robots looking like walking scrap heaps why not go full force with the rest of the flaws?
I also thought her roll in the movie was pointless, but at least she was far more attractive than Megan Fox or anybody else in that movie. Hopefully she will soon find work elsewhere.
soundwaveCA:
Good, it was a terrible character to begin with and frankly her acting ability has a lot to be desired.
Dankir:
Good, she had no reason to be in the 1st one anyways.

Yes, that's EXACTLY what I said.
Fuck talking about the movie. It's obviously not possible to have a conversation about it. It's always got to be an attack. You're either a lover or a hater, and there can be no in between.
Well, I for one am tired of having to find my place on either side of that line. I'd love to have a rational conversation about any aspect of the movie, but that seems to be impossible at this point. Maybe twenty-five years from now I'll FINALLY be able to state an opinion on it without having some moron jump me for disagreeing with their viewpoint.
Ops_was_a_truck:
Hey guys, no biggie - they've already hired ANOTHER Australian chick to play THE NEXT hot broad/computer hacker!
THE DAY IS SAVED

don't worry they will. it's a given. also who gives a crap about what some no talent actress says? especially when she's NOT in the movie. why is this even a topic?
neospark1:
I could tell you the real reason why she is not in the sequel, but I'm a man to keep my word.

NO YOU WON'T.
Greyryder:
Too bad. She was the closest thing the movie had to a Carly analogue.
RubySoho:
1 - She's cute, but so not needed anyways. (or another different replica of her to replace her. =\ Less people, MORE ROBOT WARS.
2 - She sounds kinda bent about it given her reasons for not being in it. "she's done it" done this, done that. {WARNING PROFANITY AHEAD}...She's hopped onto a **** before also, but still does that I bet. Point is, that's not a good enough reason for not being it in. Possible differences with the team sounds more plausible.
3 - Megan Fox is still in it as far as I know. *thumbs up*
=TF's ROX=
Switchblade:
Trying to care...
Trying to care...
Nope, can't do it.
Good riddance to a pointless character.
AutobotMarine:
I didn't have a huge problem with her, though she acted way better than Megan Fox did. Though I can't said she was hugely vital to the story, since she wasn't Let's hope we get better eyecandy in the sequel.
Bahamut Prime:
No problem with her in the first movie, but a good chance to increase the robot plotlines in the sequel.
smkspy:
I'll miss her, always thought she'd have been a better love interest than Megan Fox.
And frankly, the comments on her acting ability in a Michael bay movie are a little ridiculous considering that the great John Turtturo came off horribly in his performance.

Yeah! More Transformers, less humans!

She sounded pretty normal to me, but then again there are many Australian accents.
But hey, I'm an aussie, what do I know?

You're forgetting one thing - Murphy's Law. That empty slot might just be taken by an even more pointless human character.
Ace96:
Everyone on here is knocking actors (regardless of who they are), I have one question for them.....WHAT MOVIES HAVE YOU BEEN IN???
Nachtsider:
It's not her or her acting I have a problem with. It's the role she played in the movie.
Spider Striker:
Well, I'm disappointed. I liked her in the first and would have liked to see her again. I have to agree that it's wasted potential to just do away with the character rather than try to build on them.

Her accent was horrible.
Her character was terrible.
Her acting was substandard.
She wasn't even hot.
Although, from what I've heard (supah sekret sauces), she didn't like working with the Bay and didn't want to go back.
thygriever:
awww... sad to see her go

Yes, you did. You don't like her character, but would want to keep her in because she was in the first and adds continuity. Too bad she's a horrid actor and one pointless character. Anyone could have played that part and played it better.

Yes, I'm a fucking moron. A person who didn't like her character from first watching the movie is a fucking die hard fan boy who defends any aspect. You're right, please insult my intelligence more by resorting to simple name calling. Don't reply rationally or rephrase what you said, just go off the handle.
Good work.
doomtron:
good bye pretty lady. i loved the accent
Velcrohead:
Hi there, we're TransFans, and we're all scared of pretty girls. NO PRETTY GIRLS. NEED MORE ROBOTS....
Bzzzzt....malfunction malfunction... run latent homosexuality code... delete all pretty girls...bzzzzt...delete delete.....
But seriously, though, Rachael could hop on my popsicle any time she wanted to. Don't know why everybody out there has such hate for her, and why we have to be such Bot Dorks about everything. Sheezus, some of you guys need to spend less time fondling your Transformers and more time getting laid.
Nachtsider:
My wife's more than just pretty, and I get laid plenty, thank you very much.

Good work. |
I agree she is a horrible actor and I'm glad she will not be in the second movie but unfortunatley they probably find someone else who can't act all that well. Eh its a 50/50 that the movie will actually be about Transformers and not more humans, we'll just have to wait and see what happens I guess.
King_Grimlock:
Glad her character is gone. She seemed to figure out way too quickly about what was going on anyways. Drove me crazy!!!
King_Grimlock:
The one cool thing about her was that I met her and Tyrese in the elevator at botcon last year and they both seemed very nice. Nothing like staring down this huge black guy in the elevator trying to figure out how to start a conversation...
