Ra88:
MAJOR thanks to Tuffcub of Don Murphy.Net for uncovering this. It's concept art by Frankell Baramdyka, who has worked on movies such as Chronicles of Riddick and Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, and did some work on the movie games. What is VERY interesting is that it doesn't correspond with anything seen or rumored in RotF, which strongly hints at it being for TF3. What is even more interesting, is that it includes
various other planets such as Junkion.
Keep in mind that this is
concept art, and thus is highly likely to change significantly or not even be included in the movie after all (like how RotF was supposed to have a Kraken-esque giant Decepticon). It could also just be things that are being considered for the game and not the movie itself (which seems likely given some of the text). That said, enjoy the images! All of them are here in the link given in the quote.

Tf3 Concept Art? - Hello Junkions! - Don Murphy Message Board EDIT: Images removed at the request of Hasbro/Activision representatives. Triceradon:
A.......Junkion?
Oh my.
The_Black_Sheep:
That is alot of Cybertron/Unicron landscape! & the Junkion?
Ra88:
Not just junkions; their planet as well.
The Madness:
Lithos = Lithone?
Even the remote chance of interplanetary settings makes me excited.
Sepultron:
I need a toy based on that Junkion bike NOW.
Optimus747:
That would be pretty cool if Junkions are in TF3, especially if they're anything like that concept art.
Hopefully in TF3 the Transformers will find themselves on Planet Goo: the Stickiest Planet in the Universe!
G1Wheeljack:
I'll take a pinch of salt with this as the OP said this may not be in the final product. Still, I'm loving that Junkion as well as the planetscapes.
BraveMax:
It doesn't say "Junk", it says "Junkion Crash Site" - and notice the mechanical spiders?
Could be some other planet Junkions crashed on...

Ooh, good call. Forgot that the planet was called Junk, not Junkion as well.
ease:
Protoforms look weird, but everything else...wow. Could still be hope for TF3 yet!
Mechafire:
Most interesting indeed. Looks badass so far, especially the Junkion dude.
MekaGojira3k:
Interesting if real, I really like the Decepticon with the tiny t-rex arms and the large doc ock tentacles.
enkidoamark:
The landscape stuff reminds me of H.R. Giger. Not sure, I'm no expert, but my gut feeling is that it's not related to the actual production.
doomtron:
bumblebee were not in kansas anymore. lithos ? looks like a new take on the 1986 movie bay style if there showing us it could be unused stuff
Milk & Cheese:
Hmmm visuals is one thing, I just wanna hear about the script. I hope "over the top humor" isn't used to describe it, although that "junk" bike is pretty sweet looking

!
Bumblethumper:
some gobot concepts too:
EDIT: Images removed at the request of Hasbro/Activision representatives.
Most of this stuff I'm not crazy about, though it's not bad work and it's interesting to explore the different possibilities.
Mechafire:
^ Holy crap, that's hella weird looking, but awesome.

^ This! Make us a Go-Bots live action movie!!!
Bay???
Ethereal:
I'm not really digging the whole "We're not on Earth" idea, but then again, I'll have to see it in execution before I pass judgment.
And besides, this may not even happen. For all we know, they're just brainstorming a buttload of ideas for what they could do.
IronicHide:
Yeah, lots of '86 movie stuff in there - the ships, the crash, interplanetary stuff and junkions.
I really hope this is the artists' portfolio work to petition Bay with, rather than working ideas, I'm pretty turned off by watching two hours of CGI landscapes of foreign planets.
I just want Robots. In Disguise. Fighting A War. On Planet Earth. In Disguise.
Why bother to hide as a truck on a planet of mechanical spiders and infected trees?
But, yes, I love the Junkion. That is perfect.
battlefudge:
Some of that is pretty cool. One thing though, (nitpick from ROTF too) didn't Bay not want the transformers in ships? That is why they flew through space on their own?

Well, there was the Nemesis in RotF. So maybe he changed his mind?

Getting a strong Quintesson vibe from the "Transformers Enemy Concepts" pic. The caption would imply enemy to both factions... So Quintessons!
koh4711:
My guess is it's probably something submitted to get the job, as opposed to actual movie-related concept work(a lot of it is dated 2009)... but we'll see. They are some nice designs!
Night Flame:
This is very, VERY fanwanky. So fanwanky that at first I got excited over it. Then I realized, this could very well be something an artist did in their free time just for fun. Come on, how would other planets, Junkions and Lithos/Lithone fit into the movie universe as it exists.
Digilaut: If this is actually used for something TF3, it's definitely for the video game, not the movie.
Still, this could mean the Transformers will visit space. But where in the movie they will follow a linear path, in the videogame you probably have the chance to visit more worlds along the way. I reckon Planet Junk and the Junkions will only appear in the game, not the movie, IF it's in space.
Don't really like that, would rather see them fight on Earth - robots in Earth vehicle disguise is what sells the concept to me. Still, I like to think I'm pretty open minded, so let them bring it.
If this isn't real/used art, though, why did he create specific scenes for cinematics?
FanimusMaximus:
Looks like the crashed Nemesis. Still, looks like a winner.
Prowl:
Guys, any chance this is for Transformers: Prime and not the next movie?
captain N:
A lot of the art looks of Cybertron. Very Cool.
Transformed:
Interesting stuff there. What does a robot with metal knees need knee pads for?

This looks like a bit much for an animated series.
Anyways, I have to agree with Night Flame. While it could've have been a submission or something, I doubt it's anythings else beyond that.
Look really nice though.. You really can appreciate the work.

Why not?
Unless the movieverse really is the most boring TF universe galacticaly speaking.
The tentacly guys looks like Quintasons.
saberconvoy:
Man
how big are those bugs
springerbee:
Please be official, please be official, please be official...
doomtron:
hasbro said there would be newlandscapes. every scene doesent have to involve humans does it? if youre answers yes then we could ask bay to leave tfs out and just put novelty tfs mask on people
MaxLinden:
Umm.... Woah....
Maybe TF3 will be dam good.
Like in G1 Season 3, they were barely on earth and in G1 Season 2, sometimes they were not on earth.
So Maybe they are leaving earth... and going around the Universe.
AniProwl:
Is that you Wreck-Gar?
TF3 might have some potential to make up for the mess TF2 left behind.
Just have to wait and see.
Ace Convoy:
I like the interior shot of that ship ^^
The Junkion looks a bit generic though but still cool.
fever2099:
Jungle Planet?
Could this be a chance to (finally) bring in the Dinobots?
tomagnus:
that's some pretty cool artwork. And the junkion bike looks AWESOME!
Nachtsider:
Color me intrigued.
blackout501st:
junkion? and junk? wow. that is a surprise! this should be interesting!
StayingInTheBox:
Ok...concept art or not, this has potential to be an apology for that movie ROTF.
Friggen nice.
Shawnscream:
Wow, cool images--especially the Junkion! I'd be happy with Wreck-gar being in the next film, but I'm still hoping for Aerialbots, Dinobots, Combaticons and something of a spinoff storyline leading to a new "Beast Wars." I think bringing Unicron in would be too soon, at least in his full, destructive form.
Solrac333:
Looks pretty cool.
MenasorMaster:

AWSOME
Guneagle01:
sweet!
