Transformers-4-Age-Of-Extinction-China-Paramount-Pictures-Rob-Moore-Transformers-5-Transformers-6
Couple of days ago, we brought you the news of Chinese Brand Product Placement on Transformers: Age Of Extinction. But that's not all Mr. Rob Moore; a Top Executive at Paramount Pictures had to say. The full interview video is now available online at M1905.

Rob Moore states that Paramount Pictures would love to produce Transformers 5 and 6, however they are waiting to see the success of Transformers: Age Of Extinction first. Mr. Moore also said that they changed the mind of Director Michael Bay (who previously said Transformers: Dark Of The Moon is his last Transformers movie) by giving him a new Challenge. Mr. Bay was given the opportunity to film at locations never before done for a Hollywood movie and with a brand new set of Cast members including Chinese actors.

Regarding Chinese actors, Rob Moore says that they brought in superstar Han Geng. His popularity may boost the success of TF4 for the Asian region. Li Bingbing is another Asian actress who will play a vital role in the upcoming movie. Four newcomers were also included (who won the reality show) and they had the pleasure of working with veteran Hollywood actors such as Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci.

Locations were selected by Chinese Officials who suggested places to shoot when the TF: AOE crew presented them with what they need for specific scenes.

You can watch the full Interview at M1905.

I Guess this Confirms that Number 6 will be the last.

Cant wait what Number 5 will also hold.

This film is obviously gonna gross $800 million at the very minimum.
eagc7
they will happen, i know it

In other words... they don't have high hopes for this movie.

After the Dinobots are in the 4th, I don't think I want another Transformer movie. Unless they put in Prowl.

I doubt that. Seriously, this is a film franchise that includes RotF.

I think it's more likely they thinking of (or straight up wanting to) reboot the franchise already, with or without Bay, rather than keep this universe going through a fifth and sixth film, but will keep going if 4 does the usual and/or really good numbers, meaning they interpret that as the audience not tiring of this particular set of characters and is willing to follow them through more films in the same universe, rather than starting over and offering something "new."

Well........let the game of anticipation.....BEGIN!!!

While I have no interest in seeing this movie series continue, I have to admit, It's nice to see a studio speaking sensibly about the potential for sequels, rather than the usual "oh, we're already working on the next three" bullshit we normally hear. I loved The Amazing Spider-Man, but I hated the fact that they were already planning the sequel while still filming the first... and now the sequel sounds like it's going to be absolute shit...

I hope the toys will be decent.

Yeah, and just how will TF4 not be successful?
QLRformer
I don't know, at this point a reboot or a spin-off would work just as well as a sequel...

Just don't rush them out, take your time over these films.

Guess what's old news: THIS IS!

An Asian transformer? let's hope they get their R's and L's the right way around

Paramount will continue to make Transformers movies as long as the masses continue to watch them regardless of what critics say. End of story and beginning of story
Starscream NZ
It's merely a safeguard as TF4 *could* tank, with it being a new cast, with a heavy focus off-US shores in terms of story and plot. The chances of it being a flop are incredibly low, but with the total-replacement of the human cast there is possibility for it to perform well below expectations, in a very crowded season of films.
Starscreamer95
#5 and #6 are pretty much inevitable then.
biscuits
Well then, guess that confirms 5 & 6, we all know how well AOE will do.
ComfyDeathshot
We all know this will take in masses amounts of money, but it might not reach over 1 billion like DOTM because it has a very odd release date window. It will not release in the UK till after two weeks of it initial release in the US. It is inevitable that this movie will take over at least 700 million. It will defiantly makes its money back, so 5 and 6 are basically conformed.

As it should be.

I really hope this flops. I can't stand the Michael Bay Transformers (the first movie wasn't terrible though). I would love a legitimate reboot rather than a continuation of this garbage.

Hahaha oh wow. I also hope to have a threesome with Jessica Alba and Sofia Vergara, but like your wish, itīs not gonna happen.
Stepper
Never expect that this franchise might end up till 5 or 6. I expected 4 should be the last, let's just hope that TF4 will be a success
bman29
This makes a lot of sense. This is a new cast and different story taking place. If they keep the story fresh, funny, and the action flowing it should do alright. It can be tricky because the last Pirates of Caribbean film made a lot of money but it was boring as hell to me a other folks. It wasn't the same experience as the first three. I was over Jack Sparrow as a character. I have no doubt it'll do very well. Plus it has dinosaurs!
vrba79
I think the haters of the Bayformers, need to go have a cry-wank circle-jerk, with the Robocop reboot haters.
They can fap and baw about how their childhoods have been collectively ruined.

Remember kids, just because you cry and hate a movie with every fiber of your being, doesn't mean its destined to fail. in fact, it is probably going to succeed, just to spite YOU and you alone!

We are waiting to see how [insert movie name] does before we commit to making [insert movie sequel] or [insert movie sequel 2]

Gotta love form letter style statements

Wow! Talk about a lot of pessimists at Paramount. This movie may not make Dark of the Moon numbers, but with the inclusion of the popular Actors from China I'll bet foreign ticket sales will be high. It should still make over 800 million. And to those that are Transformer fans that want to see it fail? Seriously? Your a fan, and you want it to fail? You may never see another live action Transformer film if it fails. But, seriously your also nuts if you think this movie will flop. The world seems to be real fond of giant robot movies.

Normally I'd be annoyed by this comment but knowing Bay, he probably would have stuck in a few bots that acted exactly like Ken Jeong's character from The Hangover if he could get away with it. Hopefully working with the Chinese made Bay dial back the silly racist stereotypes he's known for using in his flicks.

At any rate, hope TF4 does well. More money and popularity for Hasbro means more kickass figures and other merch for us (including the non-movie toy lines).
KA
For good cause too, look at how 4th instalment for potc and bourne panned out.
SilverOptimus
As fans we have to support the success of Transformers Live Action Movies. We cannot let what happened to the G. I. Joe franchise happen to Transformers.

Hasbro's recent success is all thanks to the Michael Bay Transformers Movies. And it's not just for the Transformers Brand... it was for all other Hasbro Brands. There are arguments stating that Transformers existed without Live Action Movies. That's true, but that was before and this is now. According to recent market research (which I'm aware of) Transformers Live Action Movies are keeping the Franchise alive. In a movie year Transformers toy sales are up well over US$ 500 Million (worldwide) but on a non movie year the sales figures are well below US$ 300 Million (worldwide). This year, it was just US$ 100 Million (worldwide).

A 4th movie in a series is always a gamble. We'll just have to wait and see.
Aeronnz
Not a surprise really. If the Avengers bombed, do you think they'd be coming out with an Avengers 2? Probably not. It's just how the film industry works...
Jimmy88
Sure Paramount would say that, as would any studio. Regardless what the reviews are from critics they(Paramount) know AOE is going to make a ton of money, as did DOTM which I believe at the time went on to become the 5th highest grossing film...I would almost bet on there being a 5th and 6th film which will also be directed by Bay. I think its going to be many years until the term 'reboot' comes into play....
Chris McFeely
C'mon, it's robot dinosaurs. That shit is gonna make BANK.

Yesterday: "TF4 will have product placement!"
Today: "Sequels will depend on this film's success!"
Tomorrow: "The robits will be realized with CGI!"

Typical Fan response each time: "Fck Michael Bay!"
ErbFan28
I don't know. Eventually, people will get tired of a transformers...maybe that time has already passed, maybe it hasn't. I have a feeling that Age of Extinction will be the lowest grossing of them all.

If it flops, the chances of a reboot go down tremendously so it wouldn't make sense to wish for that

Agreed, people that wish for that are wishing to see the brand fail too. People should realize that success in one venture leads to success in another and vice versa.
Galvatron II
I'm conflicted. I don't want more Bayverse, but if it's good, I want quality work to be rewarded.

And the Bay haters have yet another reason not to see AoE.

No s***?

I think the lack of Sam will help the film tremendously. As will the fact that Bay seems to be getting over his Heavy Vehicles as Autobots phobia.

I think the true problem will be balancing the necessary human content with the Robots everyone wants to see.

Well said. I think this movie will almost certainly be a financial success. I also think it's a good thing that it is being released three years and not just two after the previous installment. It both gives the writers more time to make a good story and good characters, and it also lets the audience be a little less fatigued of the franchise (if they are fatigued that is). In between DOTM and AOE there will have been a number of super hero movies and two Hobbit movies among others, so in comparison I don't think another Transformers movie will be excessive.

I really do hope it succeeds, and I look forward to seeing the Dinobots, Autobots, and Decepticons in this one.
SamNickelson
I think we can all agree that as long as this new cast doesn't have "Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift" Syndrome we'll see 5&6, and I don't think that will happen. I've never had higher hopes for a Transformers film. I really think Tucci, Wahlberg, Myles, and Reynor will really be stepping up the acting game, and how can we so easily and repeatedly forget about Kelsey and Titus being in this?

I understand the hesitation on Paramount's part, but with the entire "new trilogy" vibe we have gotten from the entire production so far, like the rumors of the core cast being contracted for three films, I'm hoping this film doesn't close all of its loose ends, or better yet builds up to a huge story arc that takes place over the trilogy. With production having such high hopes, and having lived through ROTF, TF5 and 6 are almost a given. Not to mention the "why can't we make 9 of these?" comment from Lorenzo.
03Mach1
There will be a 5th and 6th movie whether you want one or not.
Kingfish333
Seems odd that Paramount would not commit to sequels of a movie, it the first performs poorly.
HoneyPrime
I don't blame Paramount. I think it's a good thing to be cautious to see how a movie does before committing to more (though I personally think 5 and 6 will be done). I enjoyed the movies for the most part, but I seriously hated, hated Sam, his parents and found myself wanting more robot time. I'm optimistic about this one because of Mark, Kelsey and few others. So I'm hoping the human element wont be as bad this go around.

I am going to miss Josh and Tyrese.
