Optimus Prime Vehicle Sighted, More Proof of Transformers Sequel Filming Setup? op1
After three copies of the Barricade car were sighted in Culver City last week, SuperHeroHype is reporting that the Optimus Prime truck from the Transformers movie was sighted on the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles. There has been no confirmation yet, but many take this as a sign that they are getting the vehicles moved in order to begin filming on the Transformers movie sequel in order to meet the June 2009 release date. I hope prime gets reformatted at some point in the film, but I could see them keeping a couple characters the same, like ironhide and ratchet, only releasing them once and with their premium paint jobs. That allows people to get these molds again a couple years from now and allows hasbro to have some fillers for the line.

Well according to Seibertron.com you can add Ironhide and Ratchet to the list along with Prime and Barricade now.

As excited as I am about seeing all these guys being trucked around I'm still a little skeptical that Bay-o-Rama's having a bit of fun with us innocent TransFans. I don't remember sightings being so abundant when the first flick was being shot...

AH !! Good Ol' Prime !! If this is so ,then they started production early!! No doubt as direct result of the writers strike!!

They were worried the strike could've been a problem for the intended time to start production at around May(like last time) and that this could had delay the movie intended debut on June '09. My opinion is Bay is wants to maintain the June '09 debut dateline on schedule so he and the rest of the gang started earlier. Just a theory ,but with the Barricade photos previously posted ,this could be the scenario now !!

Judging by the pictures, that looks like Culver City, where Barricade was spotted. Prime was spotted at the 405 Freeway, which is also somewhat nearby.

While I certainly hope they'll be back, I think (as several have stated) we need to stop assuming that any of these vehicle sightings confirm anything.

And if they bring any of the vehicles to BotCon this year, I hope it's these two. Damn, but that Topkick is big! I'd love to see it in person.
