I think that it looks smaller in botmode, because the "finger" bits on the barrel have been removed (maybe that becomes the hand of the right arm, or takes some kibble along with it to become the entire left arm).

He's got f'ing rocket engines on the back of that thing. Kick. Ass.

I've got to admit, that looks a lot more appetising that his original alt mode. But will his decreased mobility translate well to the sequel? I think fans will see this as a 'weaker' version of Megatron.

I just hope his head is hidden better on the tank toy than it was on the Cybertronian jet toy.

Maybe so, but it puts OP and Megs at a bit more even fighting ground. Should translate to a better fight between the two.

I am hoping somehow, someway, they make Megs a triplechanger. Keep the jet mode, but also have the tank mode (do-able, since TF in movieverse can mold themselves to any alt mode).

I LOVE the tank mode, and I just hope he gets some air time.

Scale seems weird, tho, since the head is sooooo tiny, compared to the treads.

Now if only they lose some of the kibble, this would be AWESOME!

Weaker, as in, the vehicle that can roll over any other vehicle in the movie and rip them to shreds with those frickin' sharp treads?

If anything, this mode looks stronger and more steroid enhanced than even the original Megatron, which is saying something.

I don't mind the head being visible in this case, because it looks like the front of the tank revolves entirely around a "pissed off robot head in the darkness" effect. Also, note the panels on either side of his face. Doesn't seem unlikely that they may close over it.

Loving this guy. I don't mind the head being visible as the intimidation factor that would be associated with an Autobot who's staring right into that manically evil face of doom bearing down on him... yeah, the Autobot/Decepticon would lubricate themselves...

Yeah, seems a lot of wasted effort and money just so that the interwebs don't leak anything. Seriously, why can't people understand a simple concept where all Bay has to do is to say that there's misinformation and never have to do anything else? I guess Bay is 'smarter than the average bear'...

That, and half the fandom appears to be highly gullible or they overestimate their importance (I mean, seriously, people really have to have a huge sense of personal importance to believe that Bay and Co would go through all that time, effort & money just to fool them and others).

Usually takes a day or two for them to even find out they've been leaked. I think the Corvette-bot's pictures were up for at least three, if not five, days before they were taken down.

Pretty much digging this more than the strange jet from the first film. I hope these designs are true given the nice mix of elements from BW Rampage and Armada Megs. Robot mode on the other hand....will probably look better on screen than on paper.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Megs here has two alt-modes. I can imagine that tank-mode transforming to basically a more armored version of his jet-mode from the first movie. Either that or being able to make huge jumps with those engines, and given there's something around he can ramp off of.

Two ideas I've been kicking around.

Could the face be something where Megatron reveals that it's him without having to transform. Maybe there is some panel there normally but for the shock value when Prime doesn't know who this tank is he's able to reveal his face that way. Since these are the first pictures can we really know the face is revealed all the time?

With the jets on the back could that be sort of like something with the Batmobile where Megatron can kick those on for greater speed. We don't see jets on an Earth tank, but then Megatron's new alt mode isn't an Earth tank and thus might not play by the same rules. Might make for some insane chase scene where the Autobots can't out-run Megatron just because he's a tank now.

I'm not saying he will be but I think Megatron might be a Triple Changer but who knows. I think if he is, that would be cool so he can have a tank and a better jet mode.
