That looks pretty sweet. Fits his personality really well, imo, and looks like Transtech Megs was an inspiration for it, which is a good thing. Depending on how they do it, I might get a toy of this guy, though Soundwave is one of my top priorities with this line. Being able to see his head in tank-mode is slightly odd, but it isn't an issue with me. At least this way he can see where he's going

It is a very different look. But I think I kinda like it. Not sure if it'll be enough for me to buy the toy. Only looking for two movie toys. Devastator and Soundwave. Also maybe the fallen. But if they want me to get megs, they'll have to raise the bar.

Well, to be fair, the head on the previous version wasn't all that well hidden either...Just the standard mode head (which we never saw) covered with a few plates, and slightly recessed in the nosecone.

Hi, I'm Megatron, I'm back from the dead, I still don't want an earhten mode, but I'll have a different Cybertronian one, because they need to make new toys for the movie.
I wiuldn't mind, but it's garbage. The trouble with these movie designs is: they look good on celluloid, but crap as toys and crap in comics.
And don't even get me started on the robot mode this thing has. It makes Johnny Five from Short Circuit look like Superion.

Ok first off that looks nothing like Scorponok, sure it kinda resembles him a bit as they were the only two that really kept a Cybertron mode in the first movie but frankly I dont see the connection.
Anyway that is pretty damn awesome, I'm already diggin' this incarnation of Megatron a heck of lot more then the first as that tank mode actually looks like something and is bad ass to boot!

Most likely because of something to do with the Allspark being shoved into his chest and 'killing' him.
And the artwork has 'Megatron' written on it so I assume that's why it's thought to be Megatron.

Was excited to hear megs was a tank but honestly was looking forward to an earth mode. Maybe the problem was this is going to have to be one BIG tank and no modern earth tank was big enough.
besides some argue this Megatron talk might be all mute if he's not in most of the movie... ( although a bet we see a Third incarnation of megs a the third installment.

Wow, pretty neat. I don't like the head peeking out, otherwise, good stuff. I'm betting that he doesn't have any kind of earth mode because Movie Megs is the kind of guy to not fuck around with hiding. Or maybe this is the first iteration of him and then he gets an Earth alt mode. Either way, should make for a pretty interesting toy (anything is better than TFM Megatron toys).

The face does look pretty Megatron but the overall look, and even the face look pretty 'the Fallen'-like, or at least how I'd see the movie guys as seeing the Fallen. I'm not saying I think it's definitely the Fallen but I wouldn't say 100% not either. There is a lot we really don't know still: Are the Fallen and Megatron definitely totally unrelated characters? If this is Megs is it his main form for the movie or just a cameo or flash-back mode? Would he have this mode on earth? etc...

I thought they'd been confirmed as separate characters? To be honest I've not followed the movie news very much this time so I'm a bit out of the info loop.
I really can't see Megatron getting an Earth mode anytime soon though. Bay probably wants to keep Megatron as alien as possible to set him apart from the other TF (even the Decepticons). I would think he spends most of the next movie still under the sea and then eventually trundles out in tank mode for the final battle (to be killed by someone and their new Allspark powers).
