| NASCAR Banking 500 - Transformers, Jeff Gordon, and Custom Cars! |
| Posted on 10-18-2009 at 06:29 PM by Tony_Bacala | | Thanks to Paramount, we now have some large clean images of the Transformers Event that took place during the NASCAR Banking 500 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. On hand were 2 custom Transformers Revenge of the Fallen promotional cars, pimping the Oct 20th release date for the DVD and Blu-Ray (This Tuesday). The cars were driven by Ryan Newman (Optimus Prime theme) and Jeff Gordon (Megatron theme). The drivers and Pit Crew are also adorned in Transformers themed gear. None other than Michael Bay himself drove the official pace car. holy fuck we need nascar transformers in the 3rd movie, how cool would that be, racing around then they just transform and start fighting in the middle of a race causing a massive crash and destroying all the other cars, then the race track, etc

Booth cars looked great. I like the Megatron car better.

p.s. dont watermark photos that don't belong to you | They were sent directly to me, they are not available on a public paramount site, I re-sized and hosted them. Watermarking will be done in that case and is appropriate IMO.

no biggie. just makes it look like tfw2005.com took the photos, that's all. Paramount were kind enough not to plaster watermarks over the photos, it'd be nice to see them without the watermarks,

I'm a bit disappointed that there weren't any photos of Newman's helmet as I never got the chance to see it. I think that Newman's car was a nice homage to the paint scheme of prime, but Gordon's entire ensemble wins it. That car was nicely done. The decepticon logo on the suit was great and better placed than on Newman's suit (with the autobot logo). And the helmet was Megatron's head.

The cars are awesome, nice touch on the suits too.
Oh and great job by Wonder Boy on ruining the effect. Dumbass Gordon makes a bunch of poses that completely focuses on his smug puss and not the outfit.
Was gonna say "hope he wrecks out" but he wound up 4th.

Well as a photographer it'd piss me off to see someone else's watermark on my pictures. You should at least credit the agency/photographer. I'm guessing it's either Harold Hinson or Action Sports Photography or Getty Images.
