Devastator will be huge, won't he! I guess I won't mind the colors too much. Hasbro will probably repaint him into his G1 colors later on. That will just mean two huge Transformers for the shelf! I just wish we had an estimate on the prices for each; it would make planning a budget easier!

I'm just waiting for the movie to be released, and devastator is nowhere to be seen because these "leaks" are all the fakes leaks Bay promised.

So far, the only fake leak is that Bay said there would be fake leaks.

Damn! G1 Cons with RID colors?. Could work.^^ If they are all green its good too but as long all those form Devastator I'm happy.

That would be suicidal of Bay. To create so much anticipation and excitement, only to put out lesser, that would jeopardize the film.

Just to give a sense of scale, here's the RK400 next to a CAT 797B dumptruck, (yes that's a staircase going up the front of the dumptruck grill), which I believe is the big brother to both of the dumptrucks listed.



Given the size of these things, the combined form is going to be fraking huge!

Their size is also why I don't think we've seen on set pics yet. Aside from the concrete truck and perhaps the dump trucks, most of these can't be easily relocated with some taking a long time to setup. With the crane and the mining excavator I can easily see them doing those in 100% CGI for both modes.

After all the news and mention on pod-casts and their posts, We see the alt modes! I was still under the impression that there was only 6, with 1 Dump Truck instead of 2. Having 7 seems like they're gonna use 3 to form the body, or have one change into a gun or something like the Seacons. Well, whatever the final formation is..3 things are for sure. He's gonna be Big, Bad, and Bought! (I hope that they stay close to the g1 name's though).

I never suggested he was going to put out lesser, just different. There are plenty of giant robots and combiners in the transformers universe. Many of the pieces of equipment in that list are fairly uncommon and if Bay had hauled off with a Noah's Ark of construction vehicles I find it much more likely we would have a picture before we had the specific model#.

I just find it fishy that one drawing of a constructicon on a personal website that was dismissed by many is now suddenly real and part of devastator. I would more tend to believe that Bay decided to use the picture that was public to help further disinformation.

I seriesly doubt each constructicon will be so big. I say they will probably be scaled down with camera tricks and digital magic. Those vechels are to big, they wouldent need to combine to crush the autobots they could almost do that individually if they are that big.

for those including myself who have seen these things irl know how freakign big they are it like a car x10.

I am waiting for official pics or a word from bay.

and i doubt they will be in that color aswell, they will probably get other paint in the movie made digitaly or something.

I'm more worried about how the frak these guys are going to combine. I certainly can't see Bay having them just float into position (and I would agree with him on that) and I can't see them doing acrobatics to get on top of each other.

It wasn't ever dismissed. It was initially fanart by John Nizzi, already a professional. Everyone knew that the day that design came out last year. (or early this year, can't remember) His Long Haul concept was posted on Bay's forum, and Bay personally posted saying 'cool, maybe TF3'.

However we know that John was later hired for TF2. It could very well be that Bay decided to put the Constructicons in, and accepting John's fanart turning it into the official design.

My anticipation grows with every tidbit of news about Movie Devastator.

I'm worried that all this stuff that's giving us excitement is gonna make the budget fly through the roof, and we'll have another popcorn flick where the robots only come in to shoot/die depending on which side they're on. Little character development, given only to Prime/Bumblebee/new guys.

My hope is that if this is true, and that these are the vehicles that will be used, that Devi will have real hands, and not claws/scoops/buckets for hands. I'd be really sad if they made this huge badass robot with lobster claws for hands.

After the first movie having a $700M+ box office and being the #1 DVD of 2007 despite only being available for 2-1/2 months of the year, I'm pretty sure the budget's already through the roof.

I meant the proportion of the budget going into action scenes, especially with the scale of Devastator. I'm worried that we won't have much, if any, non-action robot mode talking scenes, such as Megatron w. Starscream in movie 1.

After seeing all the constructicons vehicles I'm more excited for this film more than ever, though people are right about not seeing ANY of these on set videos, though I have a theory that if the Fallen is as powerful as some say, he will arrive near the end and I can imagine only someone as big as Devestator being one of the few to go one on one against. I have the feeling this big guy's going to combine once and be owned by the fallen. And since he doesn't come out til the end of the movie, that's why we haven't seen any set pics, cause they're only needed for final days of filming. =(

it would not even come close to effecting the movie sales...it would just piss off a few transformers fans....and those fans would cry and say where is "so and so" and "who and who" and "Poo and Doo" but they would still watch the movie over and over and over again ...the general public couldn't care less if old Dev was in it or not ..they just want to see things go boom! with the millions upon millions of movie goers how many do you think log onto sites like these and dig for info and use these boards?......only a very tiny percentage...I for one tend to think he is not in or at least made up of construction vehicles cuz I have not seen set pics...but maybe they will be computer generated...but I doubt it ...Bay blows up tankers and buses and all sorts of live stuff I don't think he would have exclusively cgi construct vehicles.. as long as Optimus stays in the flick with Peter Cullen as his voice I don't care if the Eifel tower transforms and fights the Empire state building

People would come to expect Devastator. Disinformation is one thing, but when news such as this gets so big it becomes more like a promise. I can't disagree with you that the movie could be successful even without Devastator, but still the risk isn't worth taking that's why I doubt this is disinformation.

And we don't see these guys on set because there's no way of moving and setting these vehicles up without taking up half the budget.

Very nice. Very very very nice. Some of those vehicles are just monstrous.

Also, to all you 'we haven't seen any set pics yet!' guys, seriously... some of these vehicles are too darned big to be moved around without spending loads of time and money. That would not be very cost effective at all. Not to mention... I can't think of one city that would let either of those two larger than life construction vehicles (honestly, they're bigger than freakin' tanks! MUCH BIGGER!) drive down their city streets... and most of the shots we've actually seen aren't any locations outside of towns and cities.

So why seven? And what will there names be?

Seriously, The 49ers all wear the same uniform, the Marines have the same uniform, that's part of being a TEAM.. The Constructicons are a team within the Decepticon faction, and should all be the same color. *sigh*

Sad... as of right now, the RAIDERS have a better score card than Michael Bay.... heh
