More Picures of Transformers ROTF Megatron

I got to admit, this new alt mode for Megs is kinda growing on me!! Fingers crossed Hugo weaving will be back to voice this mean bugger!!

One small thought; since he now has a nice tank mode, will the special effects bods on the movie attempt to build a lifesize version of this tank? If they did, that would look pretty damn sweet!! Can just imagine it hacking round the Top Gear test track!!

With the "performance wheels" on the bottom of the tank in the second picture...these look to me like sketches for an upcoming toy....I guess we will be getting another Megs in the upcoming movie line.

The more I see of this tank, the more I love it!

Judging by the wheels on the bottom, it looks like a FAB version of the new Megs.

I wish we would get a better pic of Robo megs, instead of a small blurry picture.

It's been confirmed by people working on the upcoming sequel's merchandise tie-ins that The Fallen is the comics character. He'd want revenge coz he was defeated or something by cybertronians centuries ago or some-such thing (never read any of the IDW or Dreamwave comics except two issues of War Within given as a gift). It would work as a really good segue to Unicron in the 3rd movie (what they SHOULD have done with the Fantastic Four movie, rather than kill off Galactus at the end).

I think Unicron is a GREAT character if written right. Imagine Unicron in orbit around Earth, with all the militaries of earth trying to attack, and it's up to the Autobots to handle it. No para-military teams shooting crotches. Just GIANT robots....

what makes us so sure this isn't the designs for the fallen character and not megatron at all?

The altmode looks okay, I guess. It's very reminiscent of Cybertron Unicron's space tank altmode. I'm not terribly fond of Megatron always being a cybertronian vehicle as it means he'll probably not be present for most of the film and then show up for a few minutes at the end, again.

If that is in fact Megatron, how is it that he can be a tank like that? He would have to be on cybertron for that. Blah.

He opened his 'Alt Modes' folder and doubleclicked on the file named 'Tank'.

I'm guessing that the fallen is an entity that was trapped inside the allspark,and since megatron absorbed it, the fallen has now possesed megs body, reformatting it to his own image. In the end of the movie, the fallen is defeated and megatron regains control of his body.

Don't laugh. That's pretty much how they describe it in Ghosts of Yesterday.

And I vaguely remember something from the UK movie comic (might've been a profile) where it was suggested that Megatron wanted all TF to develop the abilty to reformat to whatever form they could imagine intead of being tied to having to scan things, and it was originally one of the reasons why he wanted to take control of the Allspark, to experiment. Maybe this tank's origin is sorta along the same lines.

I dunno, seeing that overhead schematic, he sort of looks like his toy could end up being a 'fold-former', aka stupidly overly basic folding out of legs and down of body. Hope that doesn't end up being the case.

I think something like that's possible. That's what I've been saying...are we really sure the Fallen and Megs are totally different robots.

Still, I can't wait to see teh actual toy of this. I hope it's like with movie one where we get more than one toy of each character, then I can choose which is best and get it.

I'd appreciate all the leaked images a whole lot more without all the craptastic WATERMARKS.

For me right now those craptastic watermarks are the signal that the images are real and not fake or reused stuff form the first movie.

Sense Optimus Leader was clearly the focus of the first movies Leaders, I hope this tim Megs is, then I can finaly stand a Megatron up to my Leader Prime and not be thinking, god you turn into a piece of shit Megatron. If this Megatron is done right then this will probably be my favourite Megatron toy ever made. Im glad hes not taking on earth forms, it gives him more of the characterization of a evil leader, that hates humans and therfore will not lower himself to our craptastic technology.

I hope "The Fallen" Is the Ice Cream truck ROFL! I woish they would release the list of chracters and their altmodes like they did in the first one, but they probably wont be doing that till next year. Hope we see some Soundwave concepts soon. SPOILERS if soundwave brings Megatron back to life, throught what is rummored, mabey soundwave also has a vehichle database or somthing from cybertron ad lets megatron scan the most destructive cybertronian vehichle? Gah I dunno, ill just have to see the movie.

I think it's very likely that there will be some scenes on Cybertron, there's only so much mythology you can cover with scrolling text and narration.

Me too. It'd make sense, even though this incarnation of Megatron holds humans in contempt, to take an earthern form since he is vastly outnumbered and outgunned (he got smashed by the F-22s) on this planet by both the Autobots and humans.

I think I am one one of the few who believes that Megatron should remain dead. After all he was KILLED OFF already.

Hey guys it has been a long time since I posted anything on here. Between college and moving who has time. Enough about me lets talk about the real juice here.

I remeber seeing images of Megatron when the 1st movie came out, and my reaction was like anyone elses. "what the hell it that a stainless steel tribal tattoo that walk, ugghh!"

After seeing the largly successful movie I can now appreciate and image like this. I would still prefer and earth mode, but hey this is Megatron, he hates humans and his Cybertronian/Decepticon blood runs so deep that he would never tarnish his pride to be a primative earth vehicle. So I see the sense in this design now that I know what his movie character is all about.

I'll tell ya this is going to make one bad ass figure, and I can proudly say that I love it. I just wish Hot Rod and Ultra Magnus makes their screen debutes down the road
