I always find it interesting how often he states "me/my" or "I/I'm" in regards to what he's working on and his techniques in interviews. Statements like "...I'm in the middle of launching my three TV shows..." reads a bit different for me than just saying "I'm in the middle of launching three TV shows..."
I really wish you would just stop.
Transformers 4–which is going in a total new direction and in a way to really broaden the franchise to give it lasting legs
It's normal. For any Director, whatever he or she is working on is his or her baby. It's something they are very proud of. That's why they address their projects as "My/Mine".
adult collectors were being treated to new collector's edition reissues of old toys on US shelves, .
To all the haters saying the franchise doesn't need Bay, I do agree to some extent, but you can't deny that Transformers has absolutely blown up since the first movie hit. This forum alone has gained a TON of new members since 2007 (and booms with each new release) and we've gotten so many toys both movie and classic that we probably wouldn't have otherwise.

Bay did said this is going to be his Last Transformers, but not the last installment of the franchise as he said once he's going to leave it open for the "next guy"
What will be more interesting/pointless is seeing what passes for a new direction in his eyes. Hasbro is doing this to introduce more characters they won't make toys of (you know like Que, Leadfoot and Soundwave). But every movie has had new characters- the problem is they usually get about two lines and you can barely see them in the background past Bumblebee's big head.
with all due respect, mr. Bay, the franchise doesn't need you to give it "lasting legs." before you came along transformers had a television show whose ratings were tops for its age range and time slot (before cn moved it to 6 am), toys for said series were best-sellers, adult collectors were being treated to new collector's edition reissues of old toys on us shelves, and the new tf comic book was selling like hot cakes. What you have done has altered transformers forever, so that bumblebee will never again be the spunky little bot with the can-do attitude, but will be the mute muscle car. You've made such a rich franchise more about giant explosions than rich characters and mythology. I'll admit that you did a much better job with dark of the moon, but i really wish you had left well enough alone and walked away satisfied. While i was pleased to see live action incarnations of transformers, i really wish you would just stop.
If not... it'll make me feel like ROTF again...

"Lasting legs..." SERIOUSLY A 30 year franchise that has spanned the globe and been a top seller in it's field needs "The Great Bay" to give it, well ANYTHING. Get the hell over yourself already. Let me guess, this time the transformers are going to be edgy and from another...oh wait. Um, theyer going to be mutated turles, no thats not right. Uh..... This is going to blow an entire Zoo full of animal balls...AGAIN.
Geez, some people need to go to anger management or something. I do believe his term "lasting legs" only means that he will leave the ending of the movie open for further movies and allow others to build of it. Some people are just so picky and cant handle things that dont fall perfectly in line with what they want. We wouldnt have near the figures and renewed excitement over the brand without him. So much hate in here. How about you wait and see what the story even is. You guys dont even want to give it a chance. Geez. Its just how everyone was dogging Prime when they saw the previews of the upcoming episode when it came back from its hiatus, and now people love where its going. Some of you people need to chill. If you dont like him, guess what....dont go see the movie.
Wonder what those 3 shows are. I wouldn't be surprised if Bay does actually leave after TF4. I get the impression the studios wouldn't let him make "Pain and Gain" until then, and now they don't have that incentive.
