Linkin-Park-Chester-Bennington-Transformers-4-Age-Of-Extinction
On a recent interview by Sixx Sense with Chester Bennington; the lead vocalist of Linkin Park, it was hinted that the band would return for Transformers: Age Of Extinction.

Chester Bennington said "We've been very fortunate; working with the Transformers Franchise. It's been great for us". "Transformers [4] is coming out this summer and it makes total sense for us to be a part of that as well. So, [we are] looking forward to [see] how thatís going to unfold" continued Mr. Bennington.

Their new single; "Guilty All The Same" from the upcoming album is officially on You Tube right now. You can listen to it, after the jump. Stick with TFW2005 for the latest Transformers 4 news... first.

Here's their new song by the way.
The title enough looks like it has to deal with the movie I guess.
It's a really good song anyways.

No complaints, Linkin Park always puts out a good song for each movie.

I think bringing Linkin Park back is good for the movies. Yea bay said they're going in a new direction but you have to bring back some elements from the past movies and the music from the first trilogy is a good element to bring back

Oh come on! Again?!! How about some music with some attitude this time! Tired of linkin parks emo shit! When I see lockdown strolling down the road like he's gonna fuck up everyone's day, I want some dark heavy music under it!! Genghis Tron or Daath or something! Lol!

We don't need another soundtrack illustrating despair and woe, this time it should be all about Decepticon badassery!! Ha

Rap part aside, I think Bay can shoehorn this song into the movie.

Some of the lyrics really fit into the idea of Autobots being mistrusted, societies expectations of them, the problems with human made TFs, the general role of humans, and the Age of Extincion.

*Not the whole song
What you think we should be
What the answers are
What it is we can't see
Tell us all again
How to do what you say
How to fall in line
How there's no other way
But oh, we all know

You're guilty all the same
Too sick to be ashamed
You want to point your finger
But there's no one else to blame

Show us all again
That our hands are unclean
That we're unprepared
That you have what we need
Show us all again
'Cause we cannot be saved
'Cause the end is near
Now there's no other way
And oh, you will know

The first chunk from the song could relate to Joshua telling them to leave and how everything broke down between the Autobots and humans.

The second chunk from the song could be related to the t̶a̶x̶i̶d̶e̶r̶m̶i̶e̶d̶ ̶r̶e̶m̶a̶i̶n̶s̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶D̶i̶n̶o̶ human made Transformers and Stinger's alliance and how humans are just as flawed as the Autobots.

The last chunk from the song probably relates to the mistrust of the Autobots and the Age of Extinction itself.

Of course, the song was probably written before anyone knew what the movie was about and this song probably won't be used in AoE.

Yes! Glad they are returning, I've always loved te songs they put out with Transformers.
Mudslide
I like them. I know that's apparently unpopular but when I sit at a computer for work all day I need music I can tap my feet to and they make good foot-tappin' music.
Burnout
Linkin park are the new Stan bush of the tf related music affiliates.

I love me some heavy music so it'd be cool to hear something like Protest the Hero or Municipal Waste or something in there somewhere.
Megatron118
I love LP, so I don't mind if they return. However, I don't think Guilty All the Same fits with a Transformers movie.
Optimus Prime
I've gotten less enthusiastic about Linkin Park after the last couple of years...
I'd love to see Crossfaith do something for a TF movie.

glad tey will be part of it sure we will hear other music in movie besides linkin park but new divide by them was best song from soundtrack when I hear Burning Down The House by The Used I always get that dance scene pop in my head guy who tazzed his nuts in bathroom his dance fit that song from film

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A GOOD LINKIN PARK SONG! EVERY SINGLE 1 IS "WAH, EVERYTHING SUCKS AND ITS YOUR FAULT NOT MINE, BOO HOO" I seriously wish someone would pick a new band that doesn't make me want to vomit. They moved on with actors, move on with real music this time.
Prowl
It's funny. When I first heard "Guilty" I thought it went perfectly with the new plot. I wonder if this is the song they are using.
Driskull98
Is it wrong of me to think Daft Punk could've done something great for AOE?
Hollywood Hoist
Linkin Park being back is fine with me. I liked the songs they did for the first 2 movies, the third, was okay. May not be everyones favorite but nothing will, everyone has different tastes. I thought the tone of their music worked well for the movie, loud, dynamic, but not unapproachable to the mainstream audience.

The suggestion of bands like Genghis Tron and Daath, though I do appreciate death metal/speed metal/black metal whatever the PC term is for it now, I think it would be totally wrong for the movie, that music has a very limited audience, and it truly is a love it or hate it response to it. You don't want audience members cringing in their seats when the singer starts singing and yes I know people who don't like Linkin Park cringe when they hear their songs, but it's about striking the right tone for the film.

To those who claim Linkin Park is not music, I don't what you call music, because they're playing a rhythm, the instruments are all playing in the same key, there is defined melody, dynamics, an even tempo, a singer who can sing clearly, sometimes a rapper who is perfectly in time with the rhythm (look up bad rappers on youtube and you'll appreciate the good ones), the band members clearly have talent. Understand I would not consider myself a fan, I've liked a handful of their songs, but own no albums, I like all forms of rock music, but appreciate jazz, classical, rap, folk, and many other types of music.
Just because you dislike a band/singer/style of music, does not mean it's not music. I don't really like Christina Aguillera but I can acknowledge she's a talented singer.

That song isn't horrible but the intro is WAAAAAAAYYYYYYY too long.

I keep hoping for a return to what they did in Hybrid Theory but I'm continually disappointed.

As for LP having a song in TF4, it's not surprising at all.

And please, for the love of god and science or whatever anyone believes in keep that dub step bullshit as far away from the TF movies as possible. It's horrible, it's not music, and it's made by talentless douchebags who think they're musicians just because they can program noises into a computer. The faster they die off the faster this works will become a better place.

I hate to go off topic but, well, it is music by definition, and there is just as much skill in creating electronic music as there is "real" instruments. As a musician people saying electronic music is talentless, devoid of skill, and just "pressing buttons" is a massive pet peeve of mine. If you don't like it that's fine, I'm not all that fond of dubstep really, but yeah, saying stuff like that is crazy dumb.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled topic...

GAUGE
Linkin Park has actually been putting out some decent music as of late. (though my favorites will always be their Hybrid Theory/Meteora Days)

I gave the new song a listen via Spotify. it's not bad.

Though, I still want to hear Mark Wahlberg sing "Touch" while he's working on Optimus Prime in his shop.

I am beyond over this dubstep/club/electronic trend happening in music today... bring back the rock and acoustic shit, please!

Hey maybe Ministry's NWO would sound badass for Lockdown's appearance and the Cons theme this time.

I loved linkin park in the past but as a song this one is terrable if this is all it takes to write songs and make money im so gonna kick ass, this has been a down hill trend for chart music for the last 5 years.

Still waiting for this hilarious Bay quote about TF4 to become an emoticon considering how often I'm able to use whenever new "news" is announced:

"It'll be completely different"

Love it.

It sounds okay.

But really, what a TF soundtrack deserves is something intense and kickass. That's why THE TOUCH still rocks, and why NEW DIVIDE is probably the best song LP did for these films.

OMG no way! This movie is going to be so FRESH!

HOW THE FUCK HAVE THE RULES CHANGED IF YOU'RE BRINGING THESE ASSCLOWNS BACK BAY

I fucking despise Linkin Park, so this pisses me off to no end. Never mind the fact that their generic pop-punk bullshit ruined some important scenes in DOTM, never mind the fact that their only listenable song is the one they did with Aoki, never mind the fact that their lead singer looks like Bono (who is a CUNT, by the way)-if Bay really wants the audience to thing that he's doing something new with the series, hiring these guys again is NOT the way to go.

Okay, here are five...count 'em, fucking FIVE...songs that would probably fit better in the final film than whatever bullshit Linkin Park produces (really it's just an excuse to link to songs I like).

Favored Nations - The Setup (Original) + Lyrics - YouTube

GESAFFELSTEIN - PURSUIT (Official video - BLURRED version) - YouTube

Beastie Boys - Sabotage - YouTube

Queens Of The Stone Age - No One Knows - YouTube

Blue Swede - Hooked On A Feeling - YouTube

Sorry if I seem like I'm overreacting (which I am), and if you like Linkin Park, that's fine. I'm just REALLY pissed off that these guys are coming back to ruin ANOTHER Transformers movie. When peoples biggest complaint with DOTM is that "It's The Same Stuff We've Seen As The Last Movies", you'd really make a move like this? Fuck, man.
Cyber Star
Glad they are hopefully returning! It wouldn't feel the same without them.

All of their songs made for the movies were created in unison to relate to the movies...

And while i think you get the main idea of the lyrics...You kinda placed things where they didn't make sense.
