The woman on the show Sister Sister was Jackee(sp?), but yeah she does bear a slight resemblance. Either way I wonder where she plays into the movie.

Seriously, read through the past three pages - you've got people sarcastically eye-rolling at the potential "MORE HUMANS!?" gripes that will show up in this thread, people complaining about Michael Bay and people saying that this actress is hot, but she is/isn't as funny as they'd like.

No by no means. It's just that she has a SMALL role in this film. Doesn't mean that she will appear as much as the Sector 7 sidekick guy. Anyways with the "Jazz" ordeal, Anthony Anderson's role, and I heard gripes about Sari before Animated started. (I'm glad that they added someone with a different characteristics to the main human character group throughout the shows) It just built up indirectly due to more negative comments hear in these/those characters, and I let it out here by accident. Yes to No more humans, but it is a battle on Earth, and we should see small roles to human characters. I apologize if anyone offended.

My comment was based on racially-stereotyped humor of the type typically reserved for UPN's Blacksploitation block.

In my mind, nothing's more racist than white people in Hollywood saying,

"Let's put this line in where the black guy says 'My gramamma don' like NOBODY steppin on her carpet, especially da PO-lice!' Black people like that sort of thing, because they all live with grandmothers who have plastic on the furniture and don't like cops, right? Right?"

Against his typecast, Bernie Mac was in a role in the first movie where he was just funny. Not funny because he was black, or because he played to stereotypes, but because he was a good comic actor in a funny role. Unfortunately, every African-American actor in the whole movie after that did "black jokes," and yes, I find that minorly offensive and majorly annoying.

I agree wholeheartedly that this is infuriating and stupid - it's embarrassing to see an entire race reduced to an archetype.

...but the scripts that become Michael Bay films are usually all about archetype and the fact that he "wrote" this script isn't very promising either.

Expect plenty of archetypal "Get yo' blackass ovuh heyuh!" garbage in the sequel, whether it's from Witley or not.
