Hasbro Studios scored a major win today by bringing in Josh Feldman to the team for a new position titled head of development of the company’s film and TV division.
This is big news on major entertainment news websites since Mr. Feldman is known throughout the industry for his work on movies such as the current X-Men movies.
“With his tremendous experience in brand-focused film storytelling, Josh is ideally suited for this role as we look to expand our feature business,” which includes a third ‘G.I. Joe’ film, says Stephen Davis; president of Hasbro Studios and global entertainment and licensing for Hasbro. “His focus will be on both our franchise and new brands in live-action and animation, and Josh will work closely with the studio’s TV development, brand, design, digital and licensing teams to deliver full storytelling integration across our brand blueprint.”

I'm trying not to be mean, but why?
LegendAntihero
This is good news indeed
jestermon
You mean the ones they make billions of dollars off already?

It's the same reason I only want Hasbro to revisit Beast Wars as updated toys. It just seems like a nearly impossible task to recapture lighting in a bottle if you don't have the same people with the same level of creative drive.

I second the TFA season 4 bit, even if it would make a liar out of the box set I just bought.

^This.
No Derrick, No Marty and no Seinbailer = No Deal.
TFchronos
You and me both, It would be great to get like a prequel to WFC like "Stories from Cybertron" or something after FoC. Anything from the WFC FoC universe would work for me.
Ironhide1234
Yes! I'd love for a show with designs inspired by High Moon! But TFA season 4 would light up my world :3
CKPRIME
The less I see of those craptastic character designs the better. Bring on something new and more mature. I want a War for Cybertron show.
EnergonWaffles
Unless they had the same creative team, I'm not so sure I'd want TFA season 4. Careful what you wish for :/
Decepticons
Yeah. They already have a basic look of what season four would be like.
Autovolt 127
Don't we all.
CodeXCDM
Well… if they're willing to run more than one TF series… it'd be nice for them to make another season of Animated… >_>
janeDoe001
Oh this is awesome news! More focus on the Transformers. I love this idea! *ginning* Maybe we'll get more than two transformers series airing at the same time. (haha, not bloody likely)

Such mixed feelings for me.
On the animation side I've been happy. While not always perfect the animation teams have been working on a really nice mix of old and new. Anything that can kick start a new GI Joe cartoon is welcome.
But on the other hand the live action stuff is always a disappointment to me. It's sort of like in the quest for people who have never heard of this stuff they toss out far too much of what made something cool in the first place. Instead of being up there where Marvel is now it feels like when Marvel was having Howard the Duck, Daredevil, Punisher, or Ghost Rider cranked out as a way to get the Marvel brand on screen. If there are more live action projects then I want the quality ramped up instead of lets just throw out stuff until something sticks.
BarricadeLives
agree with this..the 1st one, obvious issues aside, was actually a good gi joe film i thought…part 2 was…i mean…i i didn't enjoy it at all.
BarricadeLives
this would be cool!

The first G.I.Joe I actually found enjoyable, not 'good' per say, but I didn't hate it. I had no experience with the brand prior and the film made me like a majority of the characters – Destro especially.
The second film felt a bit 'meh' the threat was larger but the characters felt weaker. Bruce Willis was kind of forced into the film and the only thing they kind of got right was the look and voice of Cobra Commander.
The third film has potential but it needs to be more of an emotional journey rather than mindless action. When they avenge Duke I want to feel it rather than just go 'meh that happened' – as the action scenes in each of these kind of sucked in my opinion. Only good fight I remember was the fight between Storm Shadow and Snakeyes in the first film.
CKPRIME
I'd be interested in that. They should really bring back Visionaries, that had an interesting premise and it's just asking to use the new 3D technology for the holograph effects.
