 | | | Ironhide Prop Sighted Near Philly, Can-Am Spyder & Motorcycle in Transformers 2? | | Posted on 05-28-2008 at 01:07 PM by Tim Formas | | King Darkness of the Sideshow Freaks message boards sighted the Ironhide GMC Topkick vehicle prop, a motorcycle (in Ironhide's bed) and a Can-Am Spyder vehicle during an authorized truck stop in which all vehicles entering his state are checked for credentials. The credentials stated that these vehicles were on their way to Philadelphia for filming that was due to start on Tuesday (June 2nd). At this time, it is unknown if the Can-Am Spyder and motorcycle are the vehicle modes for new characters or if these are props that will be used by one of the human characters. thats a bike?
more like trikes, but with 2 wheels in front instead of the back.
.....
dreadnoks!
BarricadeNinja4:
I couldnt see the motorcycle behind ironhide. Could that be Arcee for this sequel? =O
Hiro Prime:
I'm gonna have a little fun and do some speculation here. Given the mentioned plainess of the bike in the back of Ironhide, (or of what we can see of it) I'd say that if it does transform into a character, Arcee would be the safest bet. I say this due to the info that she was suppose to be a similar bike in the first movie before being written out. That, and we last see Ironhide with Josh's character at the end of the first movie. So, I'd guess 50/50 it is a TF and if it is, then I'd guess Arcee.
Now as for the Spyders, I'd go with the obvious color choice cue and say either military(S7)type vehicle or Ravage. I'd say 30/70 it being S7/Ravage. Why Ravage? I'm gonna speculate that the Black Ford van would be Soundwave and this Spyder his favorite minion. We've seen before that the con's like to have little guys helping them out. And it gives the cast some human sized bots to fight it out with. Supposedly Soundwave is in the film and his current form in Animated is a van-like vehicle. So maybe, could be a good disguise. (I hope as a van can make a huge bot)
If S7, well maybe the agency is stalking TF's with the plain van and then they pop out the Spyders to chase them. Any way it goes down, we're almost 100% on getting TF's from them since the last movie line made fillers out of a bunch of non TF movie vehicles.
BigPete:
I'm guessing S7. Considering the mass of the Spyders, any TFs from that mould would be kinda small. Ironhide isn't the biggest 'bot around, and still he turns into a huuuuuge freakin' pickup.

Or they could just be waiting to paint them...
Wouldn't Spyders be a little too high-tech for stunts or stuff. If they needed stuff for stunts or background vehicles, why not just use regular bikes, it would be much cheaper.

I'd love to see this spyder as a transformer, but we shouldn't jump into conclusions so early. | And yet:
S7 Yukon = Stockade
S7 Buggy = Landmine
Lennox Bike = Arcee
Mike's towing = Longarm
So, I'd say there's a pretty good chance of seeing a Can Am Spyder Transformer in 2009. Be it in the movie or not.
llamatron:
My first thought was "Ravage" my second was "S7 vehicle."
Seems to be what most people are thinking too.
I wonder if they're going to do things 1986 style and kill Ironhide off at the start of the film.

Deefuzz:
Ravage was my first thought. Now I'm thinking they are just new fancy vehicles to be used by human characters.
But I am hoping that it is Ravage.

If they had known differently going into the first movie line, we would've seen a lot more figures out of them instead of all these tail end repaints (mind you I'm not complaining, I love some of them, Camshaft and Salvage FTW).

Basically what Waverider said-- these things probably give off a steadier shot than regular bikes, I would imagine.
Mega-con:
I want it to be Ravage. I think it's an S7 bike.

The Bike in the back of Ironhide is the same Bike used in TF1 by Josh Duhamel Which the Arcee Toy was based on. | Umm... do you know something we don't?

You completely missed my point, none of them appeared as movie characters.
It could be just for camera mounting, as the cayenne that was used in the first movie.
