Ironhide Prop Sighted Near Philly, Can-Am Spyder & Motorcycle in Transformers 2?

Not really. We already saw Ironhide, Barricade and Ratchet being hauled around on transports, and it's because of pics like these that we found out what Barricade, Brawlestator, Ratchet, etc looked during the pre-production of the first movie.

Hmm, I wonder where exactly these were spotted. Also, does anyone know if they are, in fact, going to film scenes at the Mason's Hall in Center City, Philly? I live 2 blocks away, and it's been covered in scaffolding for a bit, and I was curious as to whether that has anything to do with the film, or if it's just maintenance.

That bike looks like it has a matte finish, which might imply that it is not finalized.

So....this might look good in pink. It makes sense, transport the bike, then paint it, then shoot it. They didn't even bother to cover it!?

well my guess would be in Philly. the guy who posted them up there never says his exact location but being that he says "They are being production on Transformers 2 in Phildephia,PA on Tuesday" that would be my guess. As far as if they are shooting at the Mason Hall I have no idea.

Why would they go through all that though? Especially when Ironhide is right there and Prime is supposedly on his way through as well. They didn't bother to hide their alt modes during the first one, why bother doing it now?

And just to screw with things even more, who says Arcee has to be pink?

Paneling is absolutely meaningless when it comes to Bayformers.

Multiples means nothing when it comes to filming.

As cool as it would be for these to be new characters, it's just as likely that they are just vehicles, like the motorcycle in the previous film.

Wouldn't count on Ravage, as cool as that would be.
A Rumble/Frenzy (rename) duo would be a neat idea, especially if we get a good Soundwave. He does need his minions.
I would guess the Spyder to be some new TF more than Ravage, and it's a little unusual for a military vehicle.
The fact that there are 2 may just mean they need an extra one to bang up in filming some action scene.
Arcee seems likely for the bike in the back of Ironhide

It's kinda funny, I'm sure every vehicle that gets spotted will have a guess as to who it is.
Most likely we'll end up making calls on a lot of filler background vehicles that only get minutes of screen time.
Still, the guessing is half the fun.

Did anyone else notice the motorcycle in the bed of Ironhide? It's there. without a good look it's hard to say but it opens yet another possibilty for arcee.

C'mon people, it's a SPYDER! logic dictactes it MUST be Blackarachnia. She's appearing in current TF fiction and toylines, is a popular character and doesn't have to be pink.


I would say the reason there's two of them is for stunt/backup purposes. Remember when we saw a pic of two Barricades on a trailer? Doesn't mean he's cloned himself, they just have 'spares' for stunts and so fourth.

I think you might be right there. It's black, it's a 'spyder'.

I also think they may try for some synergy with characters appearing on Animated, given that Animated picked up on several concepts from the movie(Cybertronian Megatron's design, the Allspark, the Allspark being shattered, etc).

For the first movie, we got the S7 Yukons, the Landmine buggies, Lennox Bike, Trent's H2, Sam's Dad roadster, and Lennox Bike, and the "Mike's Towing" truck. All really cool and unique vehicles that weren't transformers.

I'd love to see this spyder as a transformer, but we shouldn't jump into conclusions so early.

So Arcee likes riding Ironhide, does that mean no Springer in the movie world?

I'd say a little early to say anything for sure, but we know Arcee was close to being in the last movie as a Motorcycle, they had the cg in work on her and all so even just economically speaking I'd say she's going to be in the movie anyways.

As for the Spyder, Ravage and Blackarachnia (to match Arcee) sound like decent guesses...I'd hope Ravage out of those two, outside of a pun, the name wouldn't make any sense with that alt mode and I'd fear the cheezeness of the all the separate 'I chipped my robo-nail' fembot scenes there'd be.

The color tells me that it's Ravage. I see two of them...hmmm...maybe one is Ravage, the other is Rumble.

i just had a idea though maybe they whole audition for a hot motogirl was to drive ravage..... i mean common the decepticons are made to decept..... barricade was a cop car... the one thing ment to protect us turns into a robot that wants to destroy us.... what not a hot girl that drives a tri cycle that is really a robotic cat that wants to rip you to shreds

That is the lamest looking tricycle ever. Adding a third wheel to a motorcycle does not imply evolution in the forward direction. They look like training wheels put on backwards. It does not look the least bit agile. It makes me think of the scene in T2 where arnie jumps a harley into the LA river. If this tricycle/smowblower thing ever leaves the ground it most certainly is doing a nose dive. In the video it looks less comfortable than a john deere.

My bet is that the spyder is indeed blackarachnia as most of the vehicles used as major players in the movie had "cool,TF sounding" names, i.e the TOPKICK, f-22 RAPTOR, BUFFALO, etc. Plus I can see the 3 wheels being an illusion to eight legs.
That Matte black finish screams BATMAN with a side helping of unoriginality. Maybe the female rider can borrow scarlett's armor from the JOE flick?

The Bike in the back of Ironhide is the same Bike used in TF1 by Josh Duhamel Which the Arcee Toy was based on.

I.e., if it's completely black, it's just a standard factory model that they're using for some stunt or another. Seriously, do you think they'd paint a bike that was going to be a TF ALL black, without any other colors? Even Ironhide has silver and whatnot.

You seem to have a real mad on for the idea that people would want an interesting vehicle to turn out to be a transformer.

I would say why would they have such a bizarre vehicle if they're not going to use it in some way?

The fact that the paint job is somewhat plain doesn't necessarily mean anything. If it's being used for a scene involving transformation, they might just have it for scale reference, and be planning to replace it with CG effects in post-production.

The guy who took the photos doesn't appear to be any more in the know than the rest of us. Plenty of room for speculation at this point.

It's for the cameras, for getting low following shots of characters when they are being chased or on the run. Bay usually used a go kart of sorts for those and yes it was always a flat black. I really hope you guys aren't gonna freak out and assume it's a TF everytime we see a vehicle on the set.
