I'm assuming you scanned these off the front cover of the new issue of Empire? If so, would you be willing to share the whole image? If not, then you have a high rez version of the CGI image. In either case, would you be willing to share more?

i dont think its metal. it might just be debris from the last battle from the first film or from one of the many battles in the 2nd. like a piece of 4x4 wood that broke off and got stuck.

The Hasbro battle damage repaint of the new prime is going to come with a bit of wood, isn't it?

Wonder if the damage to the bots will be coped this time by the script.. Kinda bugged me the fact that Bumblebee had no legs and then...woah...Sam and Mikaela get down on a shiny Camaro.

Err..there is no indication as to how much time has passed between those shots, but seeing as they're standing on a grassy hill far away from any visible city it's pretty safe to assume all the bots had plenty of time to heal..even Bumblebee. Ratchet isn't a medical officer for nothing, you know...and bots are way more durable than us organic weaklings!

I understand that..they introduced Ratchet as medical officer and etc. But it would be cool if they actually explain that better. How do they heal? Does Ratchet fit into a nurse suit and wels a couple of legs on Bumblebbe? See my point or not at all?

Well, maybe Ravage tried burrowing through his doors in vehicle mode? The holes look a little too close and there's a smaller one too....So unless the robot that "fingered" him has a deformed finger, my guess would be gunshot holes..

those are definetly bullet holes...the two middle holes which would be your ring and middle finger overlap...if they were from a hand they wouldnt be able to do that

Methinks Optimus Prime gets into one hell of a nasty tango with either Starscream, Megatron, or some other Decepticon (As far as I'm aware, they all have Gatling-esque Guns). Aside from Sabot Rounds, that's the only thing that could penatrate his Cybertronian Hide.

Man, Optimus Prime should use his gun more in TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen.

Oooh, now that would be totally awesome. Come on, HasTak! Give Prime some badass battle-damage paint apps and all is GOLD. Imagine the realism and not to mention the silly amount of Prime's flying off the retail shelves. Yumm.

He's been punctured, scratched, burned, cracked, scarred and banged up severely. Prime always looks sexiest when he's a mess. He! He! I just hope he's not in this poor state before going into a final climactic battle, he'd be tossed about again like with Megatron in the first movie.

i hope ther vehicle modes get damaged to . bumble bee had scrashes and dirt all over ir bot mod but the car was clean and not a scratch.

Im sure this photo was created just as a teaser image for the cover. I really wouldnt dig too deep into "where the damage came from".

Bet Prime's thoughts about his damage were "Jeez, what was I drinking last nite?" Will be interesting to see how he gets this damage though..

The article does state the authors tentative prediction that Prime may die in this film.

Just his opinion though, no facts other than the lack of the Prime truck at the Egyptian shoot.

I wouldnt be too dead set on this actually happening to him in the film...
i know he is a cgi model and not an actor but the cover of these magazines is never representative of anything in the film its usually just a picture of the actor, all this damage could just be to say this movie is ramping up the battles and have nothing to do with the plot at all.

oh and i always thought it was bit stupid with bumblebee gettin his legs back so quickly when it took ratchet so long to fix his voice, bumblbee lost an arm in the comic too didnt he, what limb hasnt he lost poor fella

actually that makes more of a case for them being fingers.

If the bot that did this has a humanoid natural style hand the two fingers in the middle stay closest together mostly during aggresive motions. Typical the 1st and 4 th fingers seperate out more, plus the holes do not indicate overlap they show them being side by side if anything.

Also if we are to believe these are bullet holes the overlap doesnt explain the spray pattern. Typical in an automatic weapon when fired holes are evenly spaced apart and do not have the disjointed look where two shots are close together. If this isnt an automatic weapon then it means prime practically stood still to take four shots in the chest. The last piece of evidence is the diameter of the holes. Some are bigger and some are smaller does this mean 4 differant weapons all hitting the same spot?

I think this cover actually is prepping us for Primes Demise. So everyone get happy Prime gets to die all over again . BLEH!
