Um, did you not notice the name down at the bottom? That says "Long Haul", meaning it's just 1 robot to the whole thing.
General Tekno:
Who else expects him to NOT be seven CONSTRUCTION vehicles?

I wouldn't be surprised to see several types of Decepticons as part of him.

You'd do well to read the actual post before you go spouting off. The picture there is only ONE of the Constructicons.

rather be all voyagers. Be expensive yes, but would be the biggest damn combiner ever!

This is EXACTLY what I'm hoping we get.

It would tower over Primus and Unicron at that scale. Which would be phenominal.

Demolisher, hasbro trademarked again a while ago so he will be 1, as for my thoughts the earlier post im theorising the leaks we know together and theroizing, i may or migt not be right its speculation.

Im so glad Mr Orci quashed the 10 per side story in his thread.

Yeah, but yellows and reds is more accurate to the diaclone original "devastator" that came out before there were transformers. I wonder if that's a nod to the early history of TF.

Na - I suspect it means we'll get non-construction vehicles as part of the gestalt.

I wouldn't mind some military hardware in there.

Untill I see this thing on the big screen or some toy prototypes.....
I call BS! Misinformation! Whatever you want to call it!
Moy:
YES! Bonecrusher comes back!!!!!!!!!!
unicronsupreme:
I'm thinking 2 bots for each leg, one for the chest and one for each arm if they're all close to the same size. If some are larger, then I'd bet on three voyagers (2 legs 1 chest) and 4 deluxes for the arms. hmmm... very interesting...

Wait... then does that mean the Arcee motorbike theory could be true too? 3 bikes in one?
Much as I love the idea of having a cycle-TF, as well as Arcee (if she's anything like her characterization in "Reign of Starscream" comic)... I do NOT want her to combine.

But recall that while Dev is big & strong, it'll likely be balanced w/ loss of agility & balance - which it appears the Autobots have a-plenty.
shin03:
I they end up all being in like the voyager class, I would be happy to spend $140.00 to get a movie Devastator.
Moy:
Not feeling the design for LongHaul too much, obviously some changes will take place in the concept of this particular guy..But very impresive artwork!

I wouldn't suspect that... if he has a lot of upper body strength, I would expect shorter legs and massive arms.

Yeah, you're probably right. To be honest, I think I might prefer the mix-up of construction/military-type vehicles: basically, so long as their alt-modes are really menacing, I'm down with it.
MrRoy:
Maybe it is 6 for the body and one for the gun..?
ceniack:
i just git this image of the robots jumping up on one another swinging around to combine, almost like the first couple of bots are like a jungle gym.

especially considering they said they would be somewhat like a gorilla.

I suspect this guy won't NEED a gun.

Anyone else hoping he has more than 2 arms? I wouldn't mind an extra arm on his back like Bonecrusher had.

You know, I'm wondering if the Gestalt Devastator might end up with a non-human form: more like a giant Cloverfield monster than an upright Stay-Puft Marshmellow Man. One reason why I suspect this to be the case is that there are so many robots in the mix. The other reason is that Bay has been explicit about making the Transformers have a variety of "species": what could be more variant than like a giant insect or something? Also, the two-legged, upright hominid form is just too coincidental to be alien--why should they all have our general shape?
Silent_Magnus:
Conisdering my movie decepticons are severly lacking in the numbers department ( legends Megatron and Recon Barricade). This is good news.

If it actually happens that is.
Rodr-Evil:
Devastator?? WOW
_Soundwave_:
That is freaking AWESOME news!!! I have often wondered about that picture of Long Haul and now it is legit.

Maybe they are counting Devi as one.
Paradigm-Shift Prime:
P.S. I hope they get more than 1 minute of screen time, being brought in and disposed of without even saying a word. But somehow I don't think so...
frenzy_rumble:
I was the one who posted that pic SEVERAL weeks ago, and was told it was not official. The thread got locked too.

Apriorion:
Hey, didn't the artist originally post that concept work here as a kind of fan-art, and then Bay himself said something like "maybe for TF 3"? That was relatively late in the game for development purposes, if I recall correctly. Either Bay pulled some strings to add this into the development of the film at the last minute, or this is some misinformation. Or else it wasn't really just fan art this whole time, and they were testing us out when they "leaked" it a while back.
Laser_Optimus:
Sounds great. Can't wait to see this on the big screen. I imagine the Long Haul design will probably have some changes done to it by the time it reaches the big screen considering how long it's been around though.

Another thing, if the mods say it's legit than it's more than likely legit. They've got people that they know who... well... know. And, if you look back, just about all of the leeks from the last movie were, you know, proved correct even though we were told by the guys in charge that they weren't. Sure there were some differences, but that's what happens when you read early scripts and look at early stage production models and artwork.

Man is Devastator going to be freakin' huge... I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!
TheMinttu:
I probably should be wetting myself out of excitement, but thinking of Devastator as a Bay-gestalt... I don't see it. Same thing with the idea of Arcee being a combiner. If all the vehicles for Devastator would be as big as Long Haul in that pic, then DAMN, that'd be one enormous, imbalanced robot. On the top of that, it was compared to a gorilla, and that's just ridiculous. A lot needs to be thought and done to make that work. I'm staying skeptical.

I think the individual seven won't get much characterization, but as a gestalt? Dude, they'll be freaking GODZILLA. The Autobots are NOT going to be able to take him down easily.
fastballspecial:
Holy. Balls.

Might be cool. But I have a feeling we'll hear "Voltron" and "Power Rangers" more often than not.

And then the Fallen shows up and downs him in 10 seconds, establishing how much of a badass the Fallen is.

Oh, and the Fallen is on fire when he does this, naturally.
Apriorion:
You know, this thread is starting to make TF2 sound more and more like that leaked treatment we got a while back, the one marked 7 Oct 2007.

I dunno... Devastator is a pretty iconic part of G1. He was in season 1 after all.

But hey - who cares if we hear that? We already might hear "Terminator 3" with this Alice character.
alien:
Hell yeah!! but they said seven bots? Green, yellow and red? some more looks like Gorilla? i really wonder how does Devastator looks like...?
Ultra Magnets:
Does nobody think that "Long Haul" looks almost dead on like Brawl (Devastator) from the first film? This coupled with "Barricade" R8 we saw yesterday has got me thinking there is going to be alot of reformatted Transformers running around
Crombiecron:
that looks awesome, if he has upper body strength like a gorilla like it says then watchin him move on his own should be pretty sweet looking!! and then when they all group together..... man down!
PowerConvoy:
Dude this news is

I can't wait to see this monstrosity!
Blunticon:
Holy S***!! What do you mean Hasbro has there work cut for them, the Autobots have their work cut out for them in this movie. One big Robot!
Lockdown:
Well I wasnt going to buy any movie 2 toys just like I didnt buy movie 1 toys but the corvettes robot mode rocks and now this man they are killing my wallet.

Seriously though I really hope that they are willing to give the fan service of having the first thing he says after combining be "Prepare for Extermination" hell I dont care if its his only line he needs to say it.
Railguard:
Oh my friggin god!!! I have so got to get this friggin monster when it comes out!!!!! I also have get rid of my universe devastator, crap.
S250:
It's hard to believe they put SEVEN construction vechiles in one line.I mean,look TF1,Decepticons got 1 policecar,1 military car,1 scorpion,1 boombox,1 tank,1 gunship,2 jets,they fit for different people.But in TF2 Decepticons will get 7 construction vechiles?I think it's too much,since Movie line a lesser characters line.
Thundercrackah:
Seven of them?
The sheer size of him combined will be insane.
Thats alot of expensive CGI for 7 robots who probably won't say or do much other than combine into one big one.

Interesting...
blunghole:
Sorry if this has been mentioned here before, but I'm on dial up and the posts are coming faster than I can read them!

First off, I love the Long Haul design. The arms remind me a lot of the deluxe Bonecrusher figure.

Secondly, SEVEN constructicons? I wonder if they're going to pull a Seacon thing, where one of them transforms into a gun for Devastator to use?
a fan like you:
Sweet!

But...if Bonecrusher got killed in the first movie, who's ganna be the the sixth and seventh Constructicons? And what are they ganna name Devastator if they gave his name to Brawl?
