Digilaut:
Ok, let me begin by stating that they indeed are technically capable and masters of their instruments, as opposed to alot of other bands associated with the soundtrack so far.
And now my opinion on the song itself:

Thank you.
robvega214:
ha ha ha....i like the original and the black lab version better......
rather than cheap trick, they should have had the Stixx perform it...
porkimus:
right now i like the animated, original and the solarice version than this G1 tracks singing version.

can't say i like it, i'll stick with the original or black labs
Dolza_Khyron:
listened to a few minutes... then switched to the original
Sso02V:
Sure are a lot of haters in here...
Cmdr Prime:
I prefer Black Labs version better
Orbital:
It was a nice cover, but it didn't have the spirit of the original and i kinda felt bored after the first chorus.

i don't hate it... lol it's just not very entertaining. and it just seems like nothing more then an imitation of the original; at least the black labs one made it still entertaining.
but then again it wasn't really my kind of music. so maybe others here will like it more. but i didn't hate it.
Terrorcon Blot:
Much better than Black Lab's abomination.

in what way is this an imitation of the original?? it sounds nothing like it, the black lab version is a copy of the original, and the black lab version is also AWFUL!
this is pretty rubbish too, i dont like how they just say transformers over an over without anythin between
Feralstorm:
Can't say I like it much. Reminds me of some of the worse covers of the TF theme for TV series.
qwerty:
lamest cover ever....black lab is way better and should've been used...at least we got "A New Divide" which is so much better than this crap...
NIBMRatchet: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You !!! You are a GOD
Ruination04:
what the hell is Black Lab?
tehCal:
At least this is a cover of Lion's version, lyrics-wise.
And Cheap Trick are awesome, so I don't mind this. I would've preferred a decent metal version, but what can you do.
Scythe:
Black Lab's version sucked, it was irritatingly repetitive, even though it is the TF's theme song.
tehCal:
Although I admit my favourite "modern" Transformers theme, after the 86 soundtrack, is Regurgitator's theme for the Armada game. I've always been a huge Regurgitator fan, so even though it sounded odd at first, their version REALLY grew on me:
YouTube - Transformers Theme by Regurgitator AnimatedFan:
I...actually like it. Wow.
Renidragon:
I don't think it's all that bad. But not all that great either. I'm not really a big cheap trick fan, but if I was, I'd probably like it more.
SkywarpSion:
Black Lab version FTW!!!!
Opticron Primal:
Ummmm.......I dunno about this one.
I don't "ZOMG hate it!" but I'm not that fond of it. Doesn't really fit the darker theme of ROTF but I will say it's a decent power ballad or victory theme. I'll also say that the way the lead sings "robots in disguise" is hauntingly pleasing.
payton34:
They should have sang the lyrics over the instrumental track to "I want you to want me". Then they would truly have made it their own.
Prowl:
I like this because they actually allowed the original lyrics to be mixed into this 2009 movie. Check that... I REALLY like it. Sorry, but yup, this sounds badass. I still listen to my Blacklab, and thanks to that I actually love all of Blacklab, but this is just another fun Transformer song. Rock On!
angelus2402004:
Boring song.
Laser_Optimus:
I don't know... it's not bad, but I don't really like it either. I fealt kind of bored with the song after the first chorus. Can't say I really like many of these 're-takes' on the Transformers theme to be honest...
Omegatron1:
It's not bad, but also not very good. Why does a nearly-legendary band like Cheap Trick need to cover an 80's cartoon theme song?
Ra88:
Opening is great, everything after that was a bit bleh. Shame.
blunghole:
I don't hate it, but the song makes me feel....uncomfortable.
KMITB:
Didn't do much for me. Not much of a Cheap Trick guy anyway...but I gave it a shot and it just sits there.
The real question is which is worse.....this song or that Stan Bush "The Touch" remix???
Cujo:
......................... WTF IS THIS SHIT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!1111?!!111/!1juanjuanjuan!//1!>1.?1/
they should have used the Deceptibot one for ROTF...

I've never liked the Transformers theme song, no matter the version.
encline:
BLACK LAB!! This is not...... my taste
j.a.f.o.:
It's sad to see how far Cheap Trick has fallen.
BustaJesse:
Wow, that was really awful.
Vangelus:
It's neat- but I'll always be championing an industrimetal technofusion theme for the live-action movies, given their tone and aesthetic.
Poho:
epic epic epic fail.
the lyrics are so inappropriate for such a bouncy happy tune.
TheMinttu:
That's pretty awful. Doesn't work as a TF theme, doesn't work as a casual track to listen to for the hell of it.
dragon:
i like it this what they should have added to the first soundtrack and black labs version on the second one i like it its intersting to hear how they mixed it up but black lab is better but this is better than mutemath.
mutemath is slowpaced for tansformers theme it just didnt fit the first soundtrack i think mutemath version may have sound better if it was speed up a bit and not calssical low paced version of the song.
Ravenxl7:
Actually, that wasn't all that bad. Though I was expecting something far worse, lol.
Jazzmatic Prime:
It's kind of catchy, not as good as black labs version but its way better then mute math's.

When's the last time you heard anybody even mention Cheap Trick until they associated themselves with the soundtrack to probably the year's biggest film?
...........
...that's why they did it.
ersico:
Nope ... Not feeling it
bumblebot98:
that song sucked
Depthcharge:
If my wife were having a baby, I'd make her get an abortion so our child could never be subjected to listening to that "song."
