I just heard on the news this morning that Bernie Mac has passed away. Dunno if it should be front page news, but I feel it should at least be mentioned, considering his new relationship with Transformers.

Wow, what did he die of? Articles are saying he was fighting pneumonia but he is still alive... I hope he is ok!!! pneumonia is bad sauce and it is always terrible when someone dies of that.

Guys, he got sick last week, and people reported he died. That was false. He however, has died since then, like, hours ago. The article linked in the second post quotes his publicist, and references the fake death stories from last week.

It is true bernie mac is dead due to complications with his condition. On a unrelated note Shia LaBeouf does not have an amputated finger .

Fox 2 just "recapped" the story....they even mentioned the rumors of his death last week....but they said that his publicist has confirmed it....

That's really sad. I was slow to get into his Fox show, but once I did, I found it was actually really well written, and funny (funniest line ever was him responding to someone once with "that threat's got less teeth than babygirl" - that's gold!), and genuine too. But towards the last few seasons you could really see him start to degrade physically and mentally too. Then when all these dying rumors started popping up, even if rumors, it still just felt like a matter of time.
Well at least now he really ain't scared of us mother ****er's.

OMG. This is some very sad news..I send my prayers to his family and friends. To you Bernie Mac thanks for your memories of making us laugh. So God speed & Rest In Peace, but still 50 years old is still quite young.

Didn't like his role that much in Transformers but he did some other parts I really liked. Sad to hear that he died at the still relatively young age of 50. Even with being sick for a while it must have been a bad shock for his friends and family to hear this sad sad news.
