Autobot Jazz is back for Transformers Movie Sequel

Yes and no. Nothing about the story is really given away here. In fact, this adds to the specullation as now we want to know how he is back. It shouldn't be considered a spoiler to mention the cast of a movie. General information about who's starring gives alot away as the news that Jazz's voice actor is already on set.

And are we suppose to keep quiet about this for a whole year as to who's in and what's been mentioned before? That's pretty unrealistic as all the boards will have people talking about this movie for the next year. Not to be rude, but to avoid learning anything about the movie you might as well unplug yourself from any TF board for the next year.

Not everybody knew which characters would be returning; including myself. The new title would suggest that the thread is about some major information about one of the returning characters and the people not wanting to be spoiled most likely won't click it.

Actually, I wouldn't bitch about it, I have not bitched about anything before, so I don't know where you are getting that from.
If I did happen to start bitching I would look like an asshole because spoiler tags were already be up at the time and it would be my fault for looking.

If they put Jazz in the movie, they better damn well give him more than the three lines of dialogue he had in the first movie.

But man, if they bring Jazz back but leave Megs dead I will be royally pissed. At least Megs was badass for his 20-odd minutes of activity before the writers went "alright, this was fun, but he has to lose now", but Jazz just seemed like a guy that was there just to be killed in a totally brutal act of robo-barbarism.

I still don't understand why people say Jazz only had three lines of dialogue. Especially considering that you can count his lines on two hands you could at least be realistic and say nine.

Flashbacks would be fine, but I certainly hope Jazz is still dead in TF2. It's not that I didn't like him, I just don't see any good come from undercutting his death (plus more time for new Bots to have characterization).

Wow!!! Bay actually brought back Jazz.....i hope the info is fake because Jazz already got ripped in half! They should focus on the newer robots like add Ultra Magnus or something instead of adding someone who got ripped!

Hopefully, if Jazz comes back, they will smarten up his lines a bit, and cut out some of the stereotypical diatribe from the last film. But either way, YAY, Jazz is back!!!

I have to say I was surprised that being ripped in half killed Jazz, seeing that Frenzy survived loosing everything from the neck down earlier in the movie. But I see a couple of possibilities that could bring him back...
The Allspark shard that still remained that Optimus pulled out of Megatron's chest?
Ratchet or another Transformer introduced somehow figures out how to rebuild him?

Personally, I do hope this means Jazz is back.

Though it's good news, hopefully they can make that work out. Perhaps Jazz wasen't completely dead afterall? More than likely he's gonna get a new alt mode.

So I'm thinking something along the lines of that there'll be some specific situation that only Jazz would be able to help with (he was second in command, so like maybe... I dunno. He didn't really have a speciality that we saw/know of, unlike Ratchet, BB, and Ironhide... perhaps something about his past?)

Anyway so they'll all be sitting around being all like "OMG I wish Jazz was still here to tell us this highly relevant stuff" and then OP is all like "oh shit hang on guys I've got this shard of all spark which is apparently better for more than back plate scratching! I know I was saving it for a REAL special occasion, but oh well"

if I had to wildly speculate, I'd say the allspark fragment finds its way into proximity of Jazz's body (I'd have to imagine they the 'bots wouldn't dump his remains into the sea with the Decepticon scum) and repairs it, bringing him back to life.

I agree about the VA on the set. He could have a totally different roll if there at all.

If Jazz can not come back even though they have his parts in hand and lets face it machines can be rebuilt, especially fictional ones...well then Megatron is DEAD -GONE -KAPUT! We saw him go black. He got dumped back in the deep deep deep sea. If he comes back and ya'll know he will, JAZZ can come back.

TFW2005 has always and will continue to be a "spoiler" heavy site when it comes to movie news. We will not be altering our news posting habits. If a piece of news comes along, it will be posted as such. This is how we treated the first film and this is how we will be treating this film.

We have a news tab at the top of the page that will allow you to select specific categories to view news for.

Don't want to say I told ya so, but... ya I told you so. These are just robots, and they can be rebuilt. If Megatron can be rebuilt, and if Teletran One can rebuild the whole Transformer population (both Decepticon and Autobot) after their crash landing on Earth...then Yes Jazz can be rebuilt.

Am I the only one who has a difficult time reconciling Eddie Winslow from "Family Matters" (also played by McCrary) and Jazz??

Really? You weren't moved by the depth and meaning of the phrase "Whats crackin little B**ches? I thougth that was a metaphor for how good cracks the evil?

Honestly, I totally didn't like Jazz's character or his car. Going from a Porsche to a Pontiac? A brand that is most likely gonna get axed? A Solstice? Thats such a downgrade for the second in command.

Beyond that, his character was so out of touch with his vehicle mode. He had the voice of a a big burly guy but was the smallest robot out there next to Frenzy. It just didn't fit. And the fact that he was basically a thug was even worse.

I will never understand why people get so friggin' anal about "spoilers". It's a movie. This news could be true or it could be the false info that Bay promised. Guess what? YOU WON'T KNOW UNTIL YOU SEE THE MOVIE. Funny thing is, regardless of spoilers, you'll still watch it, buy it, and love it, because you're a transformers geek like the rest of us. A spoiler will never ruin my day, my life, or my movie-going experience. Sure, Jazz just may be back, BUT until you see the film, you won't honestly know the truth about whether he is or how he is brought back. It doesn't spoil the entire movie and if anything, it helps hype the movie and bring in some of the huge Jazz fans that may have planned to skip the theater on this one due to them killing their favorite Autobot.

How about everyone let the news be just that......NEWS........and worry about more important things in life. I hear cancer and Aids are big topics to bitch about and they don't have any spoilers--you don't know who has it or when they'll pass on.

Are you talking about on the home page? Because not all news makes it there. People also don't want to have to keep selecting specific categories of news every day. We should not have to avoid the news forum as a whole because we don't want to have a movie spoiled.

It would be better if you placed movie discussion and movie news under one forum, that way nobody gets spoiled if they do not wish too, they can also continue to view the regular news forum.

News forum and frontpage. It's not going to change. It's not open for debate or discussion.

People had the same complaints the first few weeks of news on the first movie. Again, 2005 is and always will be a spoiler filled site for everything Transformers. That includes the movie news on the frontpage. Just as we've posted spoilers for every piece of fiction (maybe sans comics) since RID.

It's not by accident, it wasn't a mistake and it's not some rogue mod trying to get his "credit". Its a clear and concise choice to do so.

I hope Michael Bay makes a good explanation for Jazz's revival if is in Transformers 2. Just so Transformers 2 doesn't seem unrealistic that you can't expect anybody to really be dead.

I disagree on just one point, Joe. Our comics coverage also contains spoilers, in the preview pages and covers.

As for Jazz, I'm glad to see him coming back. I suspected as much ever since I first read the bio on the G1 Target Exclusive deco.

Just remember that it's unlikely that people like myself will donate or support this site if we can't even access the news forum without getting half a movie spoiled. How hard can it be to put up spoiler tags, or use the movie discussion forum for movie news? That way everybody is happy.

And I'm not trying to start any argument or debate with you or anybody else. I'm just giving you my honest opinion and giving suggestions. I enjoy coming onto this site and posting, but I don't want to have to avoid coming here all together just because of a few movie spoilers that could have easily been avoided with small effort.

Kidding aside, spoilers are one of the cornerstones of this here information superhighway (wow, when was the last time that phrase was used?). You'll have a far easier time avoiding them by unplugging your computer than you will by bitching out the staff of a privately run forum.

I agree, Mr. Moore. He simply posted some news that MOST of us would appreciate seeing and reading up on. If you don't want to know the details on it, don't click the link. If the title says Jazz will be back, you won't "spoil" anything if you don't click and actually read the article. So if this spoiled the movie for you, you can only blame yourself. I'm not trying to be a dick here, but a thread title does NOT ruin an entire movie.

We're not posting news in hopes that you're going to give us money. It would be best if you just stop posting in this thread altogether. If you don't have anything to add to the actual topic at hand then move along.

Since when did "donations" become a part of this topic or discussion?! I understand where you're coming from, but at the same time, you have to see what this site is all about. I haven't seen you complaining about Transformers Animated spoilers, toy release news, or anything of that nature. So why is this such a big deal? And to throw that comment about not donating is ridiculous. I haven't donated, but does that make me any less of a fan of this site? Nope. It's called DONATIONS for a reason.
