Autobot Jazz is back for Transformers Movie Sequel

They better have a good explanation for this one.

I'm torn about this news (assuming it's not Bay misinformation) On one side I would love to see Jazz get a bigger role. On the other, it takes away some of the drama if the robots come back even after they've "died".

I don't buy into this, but if true they better have a damn good explanation. Also, I don't pretend to know the process in making a movie like this, but why would the VA be on the movie set?

Interesting. Could be misinformation, but the way we've gotten it, there's a good chance it's the truth. Hopefully we get a really good reason for why he's back. Personally, I think the only bot that appeared to die in the first movie that should be able to come back is Megatron, and that's only because of his odd form of "death".

Is there any way we can control over-zealous mods from continuing to do make frontpage news & thread titles like this for the next year so that some of us are actually surprised by a few things? We shouldn't have to avoid the forums altogether because of continued bad judgment when it comes to the wording or pics used for news.

While it seems like they wouldn't need the actual VA for it...to read the lines off camera for any scenes involving human interaction with the bot mode? S'all I can figure.

As for him coming back..meh. We pretty much expect them to revive Megatron somehow. If he can come back..why not Jazz?

If this flick takes place soon after the first one, then it's very possible for Jazz to return.

They will probably be working to repair him as the movie progresses or something along those lines.

In a movie where a large number of characters are added in post-production, the VA would be there to give the live actor someone to play off of.
Most of the time they just use a fill-in voice on set.
Sometimes the VA's get an on-screen cameo as part of their contracts.

The various cars being transported around could be mis-'bay'direction.

Maybe they're using jazz in a flashback.

I completely agree. People like myself visit the news and rumors forum looking for new information about toys. We do not wish to have a huge part of Transformers 2's movie plot spoiled without warning.

A Target exclusive, repainted in Generation 1-style white with racing stripes and decals. The bio on the toy states that Jazz was rebuilt by Ratchet after the fight against Megatron with a new, more eye-catching paint job. It is unknown if this toy will be tied in to a movie sequel. This package description hints at Jazz's possible resurrection.

I figured as much, the only way a Transformer can die is it's body being shot into the sun.

Though I could see a flashback but then why the Earth mode then, he was only there for only about a day.

Exactly how else are they going to post this as news without mentioning what the news is? And how is it spoiling anything about the movie to mention who might be in it? By your logic, a trailer is a spoiler. And FYI, insulting the Mods while complaining about them is not a great way to have your requests met with any kind of positive response.

As to Jazz being back, that's cool. I thought the way they offed him was lame anyways considering Bumblebee was almost damaged the same way and he still functions. Maybe this time we'll get a toy for him that doesn't suck with tiny little claw hands and a folded over hood for arms.

I think it for a Flashback scene in the film.

Could be a flash back or he could be back for good. It's also possible that a mourning Autobot sees a Solstice on the road and has a flashback / hallucination conversation with his poor friend. Yeah, ok, that's really reaching.

Anyway, ages ago the VA said he was returning for the sequel, so I guess he wasn't lying.

Count me in on the sentiment. I check this site (the frontpage) for TF news regularly, and I don't particularly want to have to decide between continuing this practice and having the movie totally spoiled.

And how does that not spoil anything as it indicates that a TF1 character is in the movie that isn't already known. We know that Prime, BB, Ironhide and Ratchet are already in, so who would that leave? Jazz. So even your OWN title would give away the news. I'd bet that if it were posted as such, you'd still hit the page and bitch that it was a spoiler. (which means that you'd have looked anyways despite the spoiler tags)

I agree the request could have been made more tactfully. I disagree with your argument: trailers small bits of information that are carefully marketed to pique interest and not give away every detail of the movie, which is what is being presented on this site.

Boooo!!! With the exception of Megatron who "died" via the Allspark, I'd like Transformers who die TO DIE!!!

Then again, Ratchet, Ih, Prime all them were disclosed with spoilers much like this, so if we had titles that had no spoilers in them his argument would valid. He wouldn't know they were returning so it wouldn't be a problem.

Seriously, I think it's a little unfair. Maybe if the titles were spoiler-free and the definitions just had spoilers it wouldn't be as bad since it's easy to skip over the defs, but the titles are in big, bold white letters. But then again, it's not like TFW has ever had a spoiuler-safe system for news reporting, so one should know by now that when we get spoilers, we just blurt them out.
