It does not look "a LOT' like Hot Rod or Rodimus.
It's red, and some elements of the design are similar.

Guys, someone here once said that, the best way to know whether he/she's an Autobot or a Decepticon is to compare his/her face with the Movie Autobot/Deception Logos. Usually the shape of a robot face is similar to his/her respected faction symbol.
A quick look shows me as an Autobot. But if someone else can do an in-depth analysis we may know the truth.

I'd be happy with that as Hot Rod or a character that closely alludes to Hot Rod. It doesn't seem insectoid enough to me to be a decepticon; they tend to have quite complex looking mouths with mandibiles, and it's not clear what colour the eyes re really. A clearer shot of the face will of course make it easier to judge these things.

Hmm, if it werent for the red eyes, i'd say it was roddy. Kind of looks like a mini prime. Defo seeing the Dinobot in him, too.
Despite the eyes, I'm gona lean toward it being an autobot, simply because we've seen three new Autbots that are red. Could be wrong tho.

Yeah, from that comparison picture, it looks a lot like Hot Rod. It has both that crest of somesort across the forehead and those "Leia-buns" on the side of its head. Add to that an emphasized face (rather than a jumble of shards) is more characteristic of a movie-verse Autobot, the case looks pretty convincing. But then again, names are slapped onto characters (and cars) somewhat randomly, so its probably best to call this the "Ferrari-Autobot"!

either way it's autobot, too smooth to be a movie decepticon generally. I say Ferrari, i think they'll go for something more rugged for Rollbar
