| Advertising Movie Hand Returns to Promote Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen |
| Posted on 06-23-2008 at 09:31 AM by Tim Formas | As part of the My Little Pony Fair 2008 in Providence, Rhode Island, participants in a Hasbro tour came across something Transformers-related. The robot hand "breaking through" the ground and holding a countdown (to the first movie) clock was in a hallway, with the following text:
REVENGE IS COMING....
2009
As Hasbro appears at conventions over the next year, one can expect this moving advertisement for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen to follow.

My wife showed me this and I had to share. May not mean much, but it was pretty cool. This weekend in Providence, RI, there is the My Little Pony Collectors Convention (MLP Fair) and Hasbro invited them all in to tour their headquarters. It's of the new t-formers movie coming out in 2009.

yeah, I was expecting something more, maybe a Fallen hand gripping it or even a Megatron hand. I wonder if they are working on prototypes for the toys yet

We just haven't seen anything yet. I think after all the leaks of the first movie they're trying to keep things more under wraps this time.

And to get the Pony fanatics you'd just need a Pinky Pie (my daughter is into these things so STFU and don't say a damned word!  ) in the Crossovers line that went from a pink pony to a giant pink robot... holy shit that would sell... just not to the boys...

That 'sign' is awesome. Loving the Decepticon insignia. Yep, Decepticons are going to play a major role in the second movie. Can't wait to see how they are going to take their revenge!

Honestly though I feel bad for the people that had to dress up in that just to entertain these people. Atleast if you walked down the street as Optimus Prime no one would feel compelled to pummel you. I cant say the same for the my little pony outfit B-Fox: Quote:

I imagine any hot-blooded, man's man coming face to face with that thing would have his psyche destroyed and be reduced to a state of gibbering madness like he'd just been exposed to some incomprehensible, monstrous Lovecraftian entity. And who's to say the denizens of Ponyland *aren't* horrific spawns of the Old Ones?
Oh, and the Big Honkin Robot Hand's return is a welcome teaser.

Cool, the fact that the tag line is "revenge is coming 2009" Makes me think it's revenge of people that got their buts kicked in the 1st movie. A new character like the Fallen wouldn't really have a reason for revenge would he?

I though that the old characters that are going to be in transformers 2 that were in 1 were just going to be improved, but not new, or thats what I got out of the con anyways.

Also, don't forget, remember in the 1st movie when ironhide crashes into the pool, the little girl looking up at him asking if he was the tooth fairy is holding a stuffed pink my little pony (which that one went for over $200 on ebay).
I'm excited about the movie, but all of the youtube videos on the filming are getting a bit annoying. I just want to see a photo of the characters and just see the movie teaser trailer. I'm content with that much. I don't want it spoiled.
