A Twin Twist : Bay Says Skids & Mudflap Not Returning In Transformers 3

Mis information campaign kthx. Why would they have the Twins on set if they aren't even in the movie?

I'll wait for the movie itself before I believe anything.

Remember during filming of ROTF, Bay reported that Megatron will not return.

The twins are bays personal creations. There's no way they won't return.

Not really buying this. Bay isnt very good at creating or maintaining a campaign of misinformation.
Still, I'd be pretty bummed out if the twins didnt at least get a cameo. I actually really liked the designs of them, and the personality didnt get me frothing at the mouth.

Two Reasons To Believe Michael Bay Is Lying

1) The Twins were seen on the set and they weren't just lying around, but rather a cruising scene was shot. And Bay was there directing it.
2) After what he said about Megatron in the 2nd movie (Megatron will not be in ROTF). This might be a misinformation.

Megan Fox said she'll act topless in Transformers 3. NO WAY that's going to happen. The TF Live Action movies are all about selling toys. which means kids are involved. Besides, kids love Skids and Mudflap. NO WAY Hasbro not going to include both characters in the 3rd movie.

Does the guy need attention so badly that he starts such blatantly obvious misinformation campaigns? I mean, he should just accept the fact that due to the internet, nowadays all movies' script and info gets leaked sooner or later.

I would like it if they are not returning for TF3! They don't fit in in the dark, mythos exploring, mature sequel that I am envisioning

i'm actually surprised that he's not dedicating the movie to them. Think about "Transformers 3: Rise of the Twins".

seriously though, theyd be doing us and themselves a favor by getting rid of them, i mean i didnt mind them much BUT the movie did not need them, the figures with those face and bodies sucked IMO. but im disheartened to say my gut points to this movie being just like the 3nd, and not a better, revisioning attempt at making the TF movies better instead of what the 3nd one was compared to the first.

I think you misunderstood his intention. I don't believe he was looking for attention for himself, but to deflect attention from leaks by claiming that they're just fake.

In the case of ROTF Megatron, one assumes he wished to keep the return of Megatron a relative surprise for his target audience, hence misinformation.

I wouldn't. They were funny for the second movie, but as far as getting an encore of these oafs...... That is unless they redesign and reformat their personalities and robot modes.

There's no way this is true. The Twins were one of the most featured Autobots in ROTF.
My guess is Bay is trying to pull a "Megatron" on us.

This would be an incredibly douche move if it's not true. 99.9% of the people that fueled the huge financial success of the second movie will not be searching the internet for leaked details of the third. The fans pour over this stuff and we've been pretty loud about how much we hated these guys. So if this is fake, I see it as a direct "screw you" to all us fans that have been so critical of his work. The number of people who actually want the twins back and also spend time on the web looking at this stuff has to be pretty small (I know there are some of you and I'm not downing your opinion).

If Bay is lying then I don't really mind these two being back as I had no problem with their characters.

However, if they AGAIN get more screentime than guys like Ironhide, Ratchet, Sideswipe and any new Autobots that show up, then that is not cool.

The two cars we saw could be two Decepticons impersonating the twins and trying to frame them. And didn't one of the cast members mention two Decepticons assassinating someone?

I mean it's a possibility...

Maybe they are in it, and die a brutal, painful death courtesy of Menasor, Piranacon, Bruticus, Trypticon, and every other large combining, base-like transformer. Hell, have Unicron show up, eat them, and then leave.

Oh so either its a lie, or theres a couple of decepticons pretending to be the twins to give the autobots a bad name, or the twins are not the twins and have been decpticons in disguise all along.

Or and this is a fingers crossed 'oh please let it be this' whats been films so far is a beginning montage type thing (like we got last time) and they get wiped out by some decepticons in a mirror to the start of the last film but with the cons winning
