We're pleased to bring you some concept art done by Wesley Burt (with thanks to Concept Art World), who worked alongside Michael Bay and Nigel Phelps to help create some of the really amazing things seen in the latest installment from Paramount. You'll see plenty of things you recognize (Igor!), some things that didn't make the cut (some cool Optimus Prime trailer battle-station modes), and some names for characters that obviously were changed ("Steeljaw"?).

I think I like those 'Steeljaw' concepts better than how Q turned out in the film.
And Undermine is cool. He's like a decepticon that refuses to die, despite being decapitated. I thought the character looked like a bit of a mutated freak, but I imagine he was once a mighty warrior.
This must be why Optimus rips the faces apart.

The Wheeljack concepts are great! Just like Prime holding a BFG and his "Beast Wars Megatron" mode. XD that one would be sick to see on-screen.

Not a big fan of those Wheeljack heads, I'm perfectly happy with what they chose for the final film. But that whole 'lab-coat' thing is pretty cool.

This should have been his final design, but I can see why it might have been changed, since some of the face designs look a bit too much like Desmond Llewelyn and/or John Cleese. Q indeed.

I kinda like that "aggresive buzzard" with the red eyes head, it looks a little better than the final version IMO

Igor is one of my favourite designs and characters. Looks like the Laserbeak toy was based allot on the concept art. Love the idea of Optimus' trailer becoming....ONE MASSIVE CANNON OF DESTRUCTION AND OWNAGE! *Ahem* Yes, I like that idea.

The Laserbeak concepts are my favorite. It's interesting that his head started out very realistic, then got more abstract and robotty as the designs progressed. I might use the one with the glowing red eyes as a desktop pic.

my only problem with the prime trailer stuff is it seems so darn Gundamy lol (new word yes)
id unno there pretty sick concepts but those look like things id be wanting to see in a live action gundam movie or something.

Why did they settle on the flight tech alone when they can use the whole trailer as his armor. I hope they'll come up of a good apex armor design for the next installment.
