New Transformer Prop at Princeton Shoot for Transformers Sequel

New Transformer Prop at Princeton Shoot for Transformers Sequel robot2nu4
princetonphotog stopped by our 2005 Boards to share a photograph taken outside Dillon Gymnasium at Princeton University during the filming of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The image features an unknown Transformer tearing through a silver car. The character's size seems to be similar to that of Frenzy from the first movie. Could this be one of Soundwave's minions or just another small Decepticon like Frenzy? Nothing is known at this time, but speculate away by hitting the Discuss button!

I think Frenzy had his head sliced in half in TF1, This new mode could be the result of the damage he suffered.

Looks like he turns into an engine which probably means TF2 will be doing the "chestbuster" routine from Alien just with a car instead of a person.

i have a feeling it is ravage...the shape of the head reminds me somewhat of ravage. i hope he walks on all 4's, partially through the movie.

Hummm...I'm having a hard time depicting a shape that looks anything like a head, face, or Ravage likeness at all......help me...??

I think the head's further down. It's faceplanted in the glass. Dunno if that's an upgraded Frenzy head or a different character.

I'll try to get a pic up circling where his head is.

I see what you're saying Razerwire, but I think what you're seeing is part of the chest or something.

There are definitely similar qualities to Frenzy, but a lot of it seems very different. And I can make out a distinct head, and it is rather beastial in nature.

I was thinking the head was the thing with the Medusa hair.....Hummmm....gonna have to see a front view before I pass judgement on this.

the head shape looks similar to animated lockdown's face, but just the silver parts of LD's. and it looks like its got some kinda ears on near the top of it's face. somewhere on each side of its head.

I think you've got the identification wrong. Here's some features highlighted for yas.

His head is pretty clear - he has 'eyes', and mandibles (like Frenzy's, but thicker). Instead of Frenzys head-crest, he has tentacle-like Dreadlocks. His neck looks like a spinal cord, and his chest is that large thing on the hood.

Still gotta say, my best guess is Laserbeak or...something completely different (i.e. not a Casseticon). Doubt it is Frenzy unless he got a major overhaul (could happen). Don't personally expect Rumble out of the films myself. Ravage I am still thinking is more than likely that Spider/trike that was seen a time back. Of those options Laserbeak just seems the most likely. I can see some somewhat avian features to it. Though the medusa hair kinda has me...though it could be..in a sense like a crown of feathers >_>. The face really strikes me as birdlike, and Laserbeak indeed was my first reaction to it, the jaw espescially.

If you watch the video, he doesn't move birdlike. He moves, well, like Frenzy.

I didn't even realize there was a video >_>

I was just going off of the one image.

Edit: Watched the vid. Has similar movements to Frenzy, however I don't feel that it's enough to necessarily determine who it is.

hmm im gonna have to agree with you on lazer beak. you got me at the crown of dreadlock feathers.

I'd rather hope it isn't Ravage, as I still have hopes for him either being the trike we saw or a motorcycle of some sort.

Depending on how the rest of it looks, I wouldn't mind it as Laserbeak though.

yeah lets not assume that it is Frenzy. Do you really think Bay or the writers would want to bring back the least favorite Decepticon when there are so many more characters to introduce?

I dunno. I personally don't see them introducing a character like Rumble only to make him look nearly identical to Frenzy, regardless of how similar they were to each other in G1. My guess is that this is a revived, slightly more insane version of Frenzy since it seems a little stupid to make another small, silver, machine-like gremlin looking thing and try to pass it off as an entirely new character.

i have the bad feeling this will be ravage. as someone said it would be stupid to make a new little robot like frenzy.......mmmh. we had transformers who barely spoke the whole movie, an apescream......so what. nothing new over there.

I hope it's laserbeak or ravage. If it's a bird I really don't care if it's buzzsaw or laserbeak, or hell even ratbat. I hope it's an animal cassette and I really hope it doesn't talk...

I think his head is the part looking through the window with the tenticles as hair you can see his eyes quite clearly and also his backbone.

So I think the intially hi-lighted part is his chest.

Whatever he is though, he's really very small.

in my opinion it could be Ravage, there is a certain animalistic look to it

to assist with identifying it I've tried to enhance what I've interpreted as the head neck and dreads...



And I've colorized it a bit here...
Red = Dreadlocks/Hair things.
Yellow = Neck
I've left the face alone &
blue for the eye

Well, Frenzy was a new character so this has to be Ravage.

I thought Frenzy was a fan favorite, garnering a lot of screentime, personality and laughs, the whole little guy with attitude thing.

And I can't see this as being anyone but Rumble. Why so many people can pass it off as not being him yet be convinced it's either Ravage or Laserbeak is down right confusing. Why wouldn't Bay make Frenzy's brother look nearly identical to him?
