llamatron:
WTF this is bullshit.
Well, now I can hope that they cast Clark Duke instead.
Ktulu:
Never wanted him in the first place in fear of it becoming yet another attempt at a laugh fest. The second one needs to become more serious in tone, no more wacky comedy actors!

Yes, get rid of the silly humor and bring on the reality of the war between the Autobots and Decepticons.
Kaijumaster:
GOOD! Just like Shai this guy has been in Everything of late and I've yet to see Either of them convince me that thier worth my time.
jrod1019:
Oh darn I guess Transformers 2 won't be the same with out him.
As for the chuck character I guess they wanted to use the Chip character from the G1 series but I thought the dude was supposed to be intelligent and in a wheel chair.
SpeedBreaker:
Yay!
Of course, this character will probably be irrtitaing no matter who they cast.
natendowii:
I'm acctually glad the Jonah won't be in TF2, I don't think we really need that much comic relief in a sequel that's supposedly darker than the first movie. If they're looking for alternatives I don't know who'd work, the only name that keeps popping up in my head is Michael Cera.

Yeah, great for fanboys, not for mass audience appeal.
Tell_Story:
Dodged a major bullet on that one! Phew!
Liokaiser:
Hill is not college ready.
Trailbreaker77:
I don't really care about the cast, just the bots in the film. Although I am glad he will not be in TF2 I can not stand this kid.
Spartan Prime:
Primus be praised. I can't stand that no-talent bastard.
Gingerchris:
Aw. That's a terrible shame...
mainframe:
Thank god this kid is very annoying

Is this a real statement or did you leave off sarcasm tags? Many people want the silly humor and don't want the whole movie mired down in WAR. Saving Private Ryan with TFs is not my idea of a good film.
Every Tf series ever has been based in campy dialog and silly humor. Since when has this franchise been about 'War is serious business'?
I hope the next movie is so campy that there is an actual scene where they are camping.
I dunno about Jonah Hill. I don't have the problem with the 'conspiracy theory college roomate' character which is gonna be similar regardless whop plays him. All those people who hate the actor, the character or role may still exist, especially if he is named Chuck already (Chuck Chase??)
Drew Eiden:
So you're saying I still have a chance!
seeker311:
^^^^ Thank you for not letting this pedo appear in TF2!!!
Lupis Convoy:
I think I could stand the roll, if he wasn't in the part. There is something about this actor that really gets under my skin.
Personaly, I'm not sure how the roll itself will play out, I don't have high hopes for the chaacter, but then again with all things in this movie, I have to wait and see. Just like the last one, and hopefully I can be pleasantly surprised like the first movie as well.
Dropshot:
Good news, but this character will be comedic no matter what, maybe they can change the other storyline to a more serioeus tone.

Eh, just because a lot of us hate the idea of pissing robots, blinged up dogs, and masturbation jokes in our TF movies doesn't mean we'll only accept something as violent and ultra serious as Saving Private Ryan. The humor in the first Transformers movie to me is overboard. The humans are also in the spotlight a bit much for me. I'm hoping they'll tone that down a touch, focus somewhat more on the robots and make it a little less of a comedy. Doesn't mean I'll immediately scoff at it if it isn't an R rated gore ridden film, there's definitely a middle ground there.

-I agree with ktulu. The humor was incredibly over the top and had they just cut out two bits of that nonsense (though I liked mojo) I would have enjoyed promoting this movie as perfect. my opinion of it became: It's great but flawed.
I actually hav'ent seen this actors work. But college inspired fratboy humor is beyond my standards,
(would'nt pay money to see them) Highly probable he would have been typecast like in his other films.
Oh well the humans are supposed to have quick scenes in this one. So it probably would'nt matter.
In tf2 theory and speculation suggestions:
I'd like to see dynobots , built by massive dynamics (see the spelling twist)that transform from war vehicles to mechanical dinosaurs. (I think its a great compromise to get them in this universe.) And of course match them up against devestator who would expell cables from the componets that would mesh and connect to pull together like tugging on a bunch extension cords.

What a relief.

Don't take Jonah Hill not being in the 'chuck' role as evidence they will be avoiding humans in the front spotlight. I think a lot of people will dislike the role regardless who ends up in it. So "Thank god he is gone the movie is saved" really isn't true because it sounds like there will be an equal comedian in that role with the same result.
And that being said, I think lots of people liked the humans and the comedians. So this gets back into the general public and mass appeal VS troo fans.
Moy:
Thank goodness. The last thing it would need is more humor.

Poho:
i think jonah hill and shia labeouf together would have given me a comedic seizure. im glad he's staying away from the movie about giant robots.
Otispq:
yeah! better without him!!
Optimus62:
Yeah, No Hill in TF2. But it really doesn't matter. The role is still in the movie which means someone comedic will be cast in this role thus providing the same comedic nonsense.
But Yeah on not having Hill in TF2.
Laser_Optimus:
Thank God. And not because I don't want comedy in the film, but because I don't like this actor. I don't find him funny at all and I'm not fond of frat boy styled humor. Not my cup of tea, but go ahead and put someone funny in there if it works for the role.
dmaa:
Woohoo!!! Out u go ya fat F#@*&!
Ace96:
Man, thats too bad. I personally think he would have been perfect for the role.......so late the hating begin!
Greyryder:
I still don't understand why Sam needs a sidekick. Shouldn't he be the sidekick to the giant frikken robots?
We do remember the robots, right? They're just the title characters....

THIS.
But only because it's comical to see fanboys whine and boy would that be a bitchfest.
evebird:
It doesn't really matter, does it? The news is that Hill is out of the movie, not that the character is being dropped entirely. They'll still cast a similar actor to fill out the role. The movie will still have the same human/robot, serious/goofy, fanboy/commercial ratios that Bay wanted from the very beginning.
While I'm somewhat curious to see who gets involved with this project, knowing which actors will play the human roles doesn't particularly make me feel better or worse about whether the movie will be any good.
AutobotMarine:
Thank god. We need a more sophisticated and diehard serious TF sequel like the original.
Prowl_Delta_31:
I was kinda looking forward to seeing him TF2.
lookinglasself:
Who cares.
This guy is OK at best.
Ktulu:
I understand that Jonah not being in it doesn't = THIS MOVIE AINT ABOUT HUMANS, but, the thing about him is that he's a big upcoming comedic actor, and having his mug in the TF movie would just feel shitty to me, it'd be all about him in his scenes, very much "Hey look at this guy! This is an edgy comedy!" But whatever you know. So I have some gripes about the comedy in the first movie. So I'm hopeful the second one will be slightly more serious. I'm not whining, I'm not championing the needs of "troo fans", it's just me and what I'd personally like to see, no other agenda there. I certainly don't go about giving any backhanded insults to those who might want something different.

I don't understand your dislike of him, because if you had curly hair, he'd look just like you...
Ktulu:
Let's say I looked like Hitler. Think I'd have to automatically like him?
Regardless, I never said I dislike the guy, just that I'd prefer him not to be in this movie as I think he'd draw too much attention to himself, but whatever man, I'm gonna like the damn movie anyway I'm sure
