The Transformers Live Action Movie Blog has posted revised designs of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Megatron and Ravage. Megatron in particular is quite different to the original concept designs seen some time ago – he is significantly more bulky and dangerous looking.
The Live Action Movie Blogs’ source also reports that returning characters Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Bumblebee and Starscream are largely unchanged from their appearances in the first movie.

Like MEGAMAN X FAN said, his previous versions have. As for the Movie Fallen, we have absolutely no idea what his alt-mode will be, or even if he'll have an alt-mode. Though I doubt he doesn't have an alt-mode, but whatever it is will most likely be Cybertronian in design.

Thanks for the month old bump so that you could bust out those priceless lulz.

in his previous appearances yes .

Quick question and this has to do with the photo…. The Fallen is a cybertronian tank aint he?

two ideas:
1) energizer batteries installed in spark-core.
2) body is dredged up by the Roomba company, trying to make a smarter vaccuum, and makes a Megatron that really, truly, sucks.

In the first movie, Megatron was killed when the AllSpark was pushed into his chest and he overloaded from it's energy. Afterward, his dead body was dumped into the Laurentian Abyss in the North Atlantic by the U.S. Navy.
Any thoughts from anybody on how he will be resurrected in the sequel?

Looks better now than in the first movie, and is still a far cry better than the
G1 Megatron. G1 was the DUMBEST looking Megatron of all the designs…. trigger crotch? scrawny legs? itty-bitty arms… just a HORRID sculpt.
Best design, bar none, and I've even overheard people comment at the store, looking at the toy, is the TFA version. That is a beautiful design.
Hopefully this new Megatron will look good on screen as well as a still shot.

You wanna see bitter fans? Try any of the 300,000 Harry Potter fansites. Those Potterians go into all out war over omissions from the books, who would be a better actor for a certain role, and how THEY would do the films better, even tho they are only a bunch of 12 year old girls…
So yeah… bitter, jaded fans exist everywhere… Trekkies, Potterians, "LOTR"ites, "GI-Joe"ies, etc… anywhere there are nerds, there is raw, unbridled angst.

*Thinks about the few times he's checked out HISS tank* Yeah. Yeah they do. In fact, I'd go so far as to say ANYTIME I've seen a new adaption of anything come out, I've seen huge edition wars about it. (Unless the fanbase is rather tiny to begin with.)

Wow he still looks like crap

Do the GI Joe fans have massive forum battles the minute someone mentions or posts anything related to that upcoming film adaptation?
This is probably not the case at all, but it strikes me as a slight possibility that the Megatron we're seeing here may not be the freshly rebuilt Megs some think he is. What's to say this isn't a heavily (re)damaged Megs in the midst of a vicious struggle towards the end of the film? His arm may only be so gangly as a result of battle-damage or some such, thing. Like I said, even I doubt the idea, but it could be.
That said, I like the new Megs. His added bulk makes him look like a bruiser, and that claw arm/cannon thing indeed recalls BW-era Megs incarnations, so it's not as strange a choice as it seems upon first glance. His head spikes remind me of galvatron a little bit, but the absence of bright-red six pack abs kills that. Also, those "fingers" on his gangly arm kinda just look like shredded metal to me, like maybe his ruined arm hasn't been entirely replaced, or has been destroyed anew. Though, I guess they probably are supposed to be fingers. Anyway, I look forward to seeing how his new body comes to be, and to seeing it in motion on screen.
Also, Ravage is cool…I wasn't a big fan of skorponok in the first film, because he felt pretty tacked on for the special effects, so I hope Ravage exists for more than just sand displacement and fright factor. I agree that it looks like he might have "normal" eyes, but if so, the red orb is just so distracting. Perhaps it's not always visible, and as someone else mentioned is a recording device/weapon of some sort?
Also, Megs is the new junkion. Looks like some of his kibble reformatted down south.

Wow, both Ravage and Megs look awesome!
I liked Megatron's design in the first movie but this one is sweeter still.
Ravage looks just plain evil, the way he should.
I'm so looking forward to TF2, loved the first one and will no doubt love the second one too.
Great stuff!

I'm not fundamentally against no-brainers or guilty pleasures… god knows I indulge in those too! But I find it disturbing that too often, this has become the prevailing attitude, as if "having to think" is like the worst punishment one can inflict on somebody. Our society has become so anti-intellectual that the notion of quality or intelligence in entertainment is seen as some sort of elitist pretension… when in fact, these factors only enhance a good film, NEVER EVER detract.
Self-consistent, reasonably intelligent blockbuster action films should not be an unrealistic expectation. I'm not asking for Transformers to be Last Year At Marienbad, after all. I'd be happy if it just managed to be Robocop!
Personally, when a film I was expecting to be pure flash instead manages to engage my mind, I'm not disappointed… I'm invigorated! Take something like WALL-E for example. That film is relentlessly intelligent, and yet completely entertaining and manages to feel elegantly simple all at once. It doesn't take energy to watch it… you don't need to leave your brain at the door.. and instead you come out of it feeling better for the experience.
All movies should at least aspire to that effect, and I think it's sad that we've gotten so accustomed to lowest-common-denominator drech, that we as a culture seem to be afraid of anything else, and fiercely defend our right to stupid mindless "entertainment".
But I digress…
Well, I try to be as civil, respectful and friendly as I can, though I've had my lapses too…
