Rumor: Transformers Spinoff Prequel In The Works? - Transformers One

Posted on 05-27-2015 at 03:30 PM by Matty under Transformers Movie
transformers-41 Last week we reported pretty big news announcing the writers that would be heading the spinoff movie projects for the Transformers cinematic universe. Today Deadline is reporting that Ant-Man writers Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari are the latest writers brought into the brain trust. Deadline goes on to say "one of the ideas in the works has a working title of Transformers One, and that it is more or less an origins story that takes place on Cybertron."

You may recall way back in 2010, we reported news of Hasbro filing a trademark for a certain Transformers One.

More details: "I’d also heard that this might be an animated feature, but that Barrer & Ferrari are also going to the writer’s room with the expectation they’ll write a live action Transformers movie, as well. Paramount insiders said that they haven’t gotten that far on the specific projects, but I am told this is the plan.

Even though nothing has been 100% confirmed, what do you think of this possibility given the evidence we have before us? Hit the discussion link below to join in on the talk!

Michael Bay Hard At Work On Transformers 5

Posted on 04-21-2015 at 11:40 PM by Shin Densetsu under Transformers Movie
image It was announced recently that Transformers 5 is planned for 2017. Many have been wondering who would be directing, as it was confirmed last year that Michael Bay would not be directing Transformers 5. However, things change and money talks.

Deadline has reported that Michael Bay is hard at work developing Transformers 5. NOTE: This could mean he is just producing the movie, not directing it; he did the same thing last year for the Ninja Turtles movie. So while it's easy to assume that Bay is directing Transformers 5(given the context of the article), it may be too early to know(it's not outright stated that he's the director). At CinemaCon, Paramount's Vice President Rob Moore let out what Bay was working on:

He also promised the theater owners that Michael Bay was hard at work developing a fifth Transformers movie since the first four have made an astounding $3.7 worldwide, music to the ears of this crowd which is ALL about box office. But first Bay is directing Thirteen Hours, a war movie set around a daring rescue mission in Benghazi that is already set for release on Martin Luther King weekend next January.

It was previously reported that Bay would direct 13 Hours instead of Transformers 5. Stay tuned to our Transformers News for further updates!

"Our plan with the studio and filmakers you may have heard some writers being hired and we have in fact brought in Akiva Goldsman to lead a group of writers to really create a strategic plan around Transformers. We think there are any number of stories to be told from the brand that has been around for 30 years with amazing canon and mythology. image Genetic of TFND continues to provide us with early in-hand images of exciting new figures. Today we are treated to an in-depth collection of Ultimate Edition Jetwing Prime in all his glory.

This figure features additional paint apps, tinted windows, semi-articulated hands, a mini Allspark Cube, an entire armory of weapons including: knuckle-busters, Energon swords and hooks, Buster rifle, Striker cannon and more.

As a bit of a Leader Prime aficionado, I can say that this figure looks to hit all the sweet spots with a plethora of accessories and a top-of-the-line paint job (minus the missing pinstriping). If you don't have a Leader Prime in your collection, this looks to be the one to get.

Ultimate Jetwing Prime is scheduled to be released on April 24th.

Technology Behind The Colombian Transformers: Age Of Extinction Digital Signage Projection Explained

Posted on 04-18-2015 at 09:30 AM by SilverOptimus under Transformers Movie (Just Movie) (All Transformers Movie News)
Colombian-Transformers-Age-Of-Extinction-Digital-Sign An interesting article has popped up on the Digital Signage Today. The article explains the technology behind the Colombian Transformers: Age Of Extinction Digital Signage Projection; which displayed Transformers related product promos at the Calima shopping mall in Bogotá during the run of the 4th movie.

"LPX worked with projection mapping specialists Big Video, who designed a matrix of six Christie Roadster S+20K (3DLP technology, 20,000 lumens, SXGA+ resolution) and two Christie Roadster S+10K-M (3DLP, 11,500 lumens, SXGA+) projectors. Two S+20Ks were used to cover each side of the façade with the main part divided vertically into two areas, each one covered by one S+20K and one S+10K-M.

The video screened on the façade lasted seven minutes and contained fragments of the movie and promotional contents from the sponsors (General Motors, Hasbro, Oreo, Paramount and the Calima shopping mall). The projection mapping display played four times each night over three days, drawing an average of 350 spectators per show."

A recording of the Digital Signboard in action is available for you to watch, after the jump.

Shia LaBeouf Recalls The Transformers Live Action Movies

Posted on 04-17-2015 at 11:30 AM by SilverOptimus under Transformers Movie (Just Movie) (All Transformers Movie News)
shia_labeouf_tribeca_h_2015-Transformers Actor Shia LaBeouf who attended the Tribeca 2015 Film Festival yesterday, recalled the time he worked on the Transformers Live Action Movies. Reporters who attended the event stated that his statement was more of a criticism.

"Bumblebee never sounds real, it's just a f—ing name. The name alone you can never make real, no matter how much you put into it, because on the other side, you have a director who doesn't believe it either. So when you work with certain directors who give over and do something that's presentational and you both believe it, then there is no f—ing around, and you really are in this alternate universe."

With plans of a Transformers Cinematic Universe on the horizon, what do you think of this statement made? Fire away your thoughts, on the thread associated with this news post
