I LOVE the use of "digital" style camo on Acid Storm, plus the apparent shade of green that "feels" acidic, rather than the Universe toy being more foresty.

I'm not going to buy Acid Storm, but I still love the choices made on the deco.

Yeah; Acid Storm looks wonderfully corrosive.

As for Rumble/Frenzy.... I do hope they still have their signature guns included. I don't see them pictured; they just have the piledrivers there.

Sigh, those two shades of green on Acid Storm really kill it for me... if it were one or the other, I would be fine. As it stands, that digital camouflage just looks out of place. Soundwave on the other hand, looks glorious. Here's to hoping that the silver will actually be silver, and not grey. I'll probably end up painting the visor red, however.

WOW, Acidstorm looks....... well interesting, and Soundwave has Yellow EYES.

The photoshop is outta control on those. I think I like Acid Storm, but it is impossible to tell through the fakery. That yellow visor just does not work on Soundwave. Will buy anyway since even with the unwanted main figure, it is by far the cheapest way to get the tapes.

Looks like they did go with a lighter shade of blue for Soundwave. Can't wait for that one.

Acid Storm looks nice.

Both are so bought. The cassettes are pretty awesome, and Acid Storm looks amazing (hopefully his display stand works).

Not keen on the red used on Frenzy, Soundwave and Acidstorm look quite good tho.

I would have preferred neon green over the camo look, but I'm still all over this...neon green was a pipedream anyway.

Very cool. Maybe Soundwave will have cartoon white instead of silver. Probably not if he's got the yellow visor, but a guy can hope.

Soundwave reminds me a LOT of Marvel UK/Regeneration One Soundwave in his colors, actually. As he tended to be a lighter blue there.

will be giving soundwave a miss as was hoping the silver would be white so will stick with my takara version but will be buying acid storm

TRU release will come with all 5 cassettes from what they said at toy fair.

Acid Storm reinforces my hope that characters and color schemes not on the original G1 toys for the Sideswipe and Prowl molds will happen too.

I think they could have given Acid Storm a different color cockpit and eyes, just to break apart all that green. The shade is nice though, looks toxic alright. The modern camo? Ehh..I dunno. Not a big fan, would prefer more organic blotches - but it's something different, alright!

No. I'm looking at Rumble and he appears to be red. Its Frenzy thats purple.

Oh wow, Acid Storm is a shocker. I'm much, much more interested now.

Soundwave, well, obviously is an instant buy.

I want to be wrong, but Soundwave is going to be so hard to acquire.

So we Takara buyers basically paid an extra $300 for red eyes. Nice. I hope Hasbro's tape door is glued into place!

These all look incredible and I'm sorry for those who have already dropped pver $300 on Takara's Soundwave and tapes. They are all bought on site.

The best things come to those who wait.

So I'm curious what the final decoes are on these, given a few things:

1. Frenzy appears to have a sticker with the faction symbol PAINTED OVER. You can see the indentation of a sticker there faintly; something's clearly been painted over.

2. Rumble's missing some silver in tape mode, BUT Frenzy IS NOT missing that same paint app that they both share.

TRU distribution is garbage!

Don't feel sorry for those of us who got MP-13. He's a great figure and I was pretty sure Hasbro would be doing one when I bought mine.

Them doing all five tapes? That NOBODY expected. And I may just pick up this guy to get the cassettes plus an extra Soundwave/Laserbeak.

This guy will require constant vigilance on my part though if I want to snag him... I haven't had issues getting the other TRU MPs but that's because I kept on top of it and made sure to put feelers out there in case others saw the ones I needed.

Consider Soundwave bought. Hopefully, I can find one here in my area when he comes out (Did not see any MP Optimus at all).

Because I was very excited to hunt for MP10, and was saddened that he was spotted in CO...maybe 3 times? I never even sniffed him. My guy at my TRU told me that the 2 cases they got never even hit the floor/shelf tagging.

yea, once these start showing up I can see myself having to call several TRUs daily since the 4 I have access to are all about an hour away from me...all in different directions...but the hunt is half the fun.

Also, didn't the G1 Soundwave toy have yellow eyes? Hasbro seems to stick closer to the toy colors, while TT does cartoon colors.

I think a lot of people were expecting the yellow eyes, oh well. Acid Storm looks surprisingly good though, I love that vibrant, toxic green.

Yes you are right. Had him as a kid. Also had yellow in Marvel Comics. I just like cartoon accuracy. Looks like I will not be skipping the Takara version. But will probably end up buying both.
