Hasbro Australia has added the Hasbro Masterpiece Bluestreak to their website, and with it, some official images of the release including a look at the box. The box is the now-standard “large” Hasbro boxes, which suggests Bluestreak will be packaged in robot mode and there may be some “dead space” around the edge of the figure.
Check out the images attached to this post.
(For those keeping track, Masterpiece Star Saber has also gone up for order. However, his box is the same as the Japanese release one, since he is being imported from that region for the Australian market.)

Of course the release will look good to people who still need him, that's their target consumer. I don't think it should be a companies goal to tend to people who already have the product.
I live in NJ too and I saw Prowl at several locations and he was on TRU.com for months. MP Soundwave and Grimlock sold very fast, but the other 3 recent Hasbo MPs were very available. I expect Bluestreak to be available just the same and will probably see the same clearance prices that Prowl did for a while.

I hate Blue Streak he is like Huffer and Cliffjumper rude. He is my least favorite of the of him, Prowl, and Smokescreen with Smokescreen as my favorite

That is a true statement for those who didn't jump on the initial TT release, but with the price being so high this release only looks good to those still need him. If they had him at a reasonable price they would sell way more product as many people would double dip. The other problem with TRU releases on items like these os the scarce availability. It's just easier to order the TT version because it doesn't require relentless calling TRUs or visiting their website hoping to spot one.

I'll say it again, as a US buyer, I don't know anywhere else to get a legit MP Bluestreak for $70 w/ free shipping if bought from TRU.com.
I understand if I could go back in time I could've bought the TT version for cheaper, but that's done and gone, so this is my option and it's not too bad. There's so many people that pay $80 to BBTS/TFSource for TT cars, I don't see the huge problem with buying one for $10 cheaper.

It is a combination of Hasbro and TRU. And the idea is to leave you with no money for 3rd party product, hence the ridiculous prices on any exclusives or "premium" sets lately. But when dealing with educated consumers, it can backfire. As it should.

I don't understand how Hasbro thinks it's a good idea to sell MP carbots at $70+. More so when you consider Seekers are 74.99 – 79.99 for a figure that is much bigger.

I hope that price doesn't indicate a ridiculous price hike when it hits the states. I was planning on getting Hasbro Streak despite having Takara Streak just for the sake of both releases (and I've already done it with Prowl so why not.)
Rippersnapper
1200 toys will do it you every time.
Especially if they're released months after the market has already purchased the TakaraTomy version
FoC Grimlock
We still have piles of Grimlock in China. They set the price so ridiculously high even the Chinese collectors couldn't justify it.
Nevermore
These are just the ones with the name clearly readable on the packaging.
Impossiblepie
if they had him in alt mode when you got him the could make the box smaller, example Takara, every autbot is in alt mode not robot mode so the box is smaller.
Jersey_Steel
Yet when they release the MP seekers in the us it cost 74.o9 and the figure is way bigger.

Prowl retailed for $79.99 not 69.99. So this will follow suit. Add in the fact that every scalper will wipe out every Toys R US before the average collector can find one, and the EBay mark up of 30%, then this will be for sale north of $100 to most people.
So yes, spend $70 for a Takara or over $100 for the Hasbro, but wait two years and get a bigger box.

For example, I got my MP-17 Prowl from overseas for about $52, shipping included. That in opposition to the $70 Tru charged for the figure. Ok, so it's not $30 more, but it's hardly the difference of a few dollars. Plus, overseas Masterpiece figures are a lot easier to come by than getting them from TRU. Their coupons are great, provided you can get on one from TRU and they have the figure that you want in stock. That seems to be more of a rarity these days.

So that's where they all went! Man I just love Scalpers so much!!!

Really? Doesn't work that way here. Some UK resellers have these at around the £60-£70 mark. I got my last TT MP (Exhaust) for a little under £30.00 inc. postage from HLJ.
If (IF!) Prowl makes it to UK shores, he's going to be the same price as in the US; i.e £69.99 (which already makes me mad!) and there's no way I'd be wanting to pay that for a Hasbro MP figure! Hell, I got Hasbro's MP10 Prime for £99.99 and I got a shit-heap more for my money there!
And those bloody huge boxes really naff me off; just package the figure in alt-mode and cut that box and plastic inset by at least half! It's worth importing MP's just to get a decent sized box that won't clog up my loft so fast!

Gears sitting on the box.
They kind of had the trademark back since 2013. They used it for a Beast Hunters Legions Prowl repaint.

Not going for this version as i am more interested in the MP diaclone bluestreak. Plus it was alot cheaper price than hasbro is charging
